11/11 SOW Interview with Nathaniel
Man! Is he popular this week or what!?

Quote:True Love Wins Out for Al & Marcie
Al and Marcie get a second chance at love this week on OLTL when Luna reveals his mission: he needs to prove that his love with Marcie is real by making her fall in love with him again. The catch? His spirit will invade the body of a man she dislikes - Michael McBain, an intern at the hospital who happens to be John's brother.
'I have until Valentine's Day to woo her,' reveals Nathaniel Marston, in character as Al/Michael. 'What Luna explains to me is that eventually I'll be speaking to her and she'll have to understand it's me inside of Michael. If she doesn't, I go back to heaven.'
On Monday, Joey sets Marcie up on a date with Michael (played by Richard Brandon Johnson at this point). 'He's a kid who just lost his spirit along the way, no pun intended,' says Marston. The date doesn't go well because Michael makes some bigoted remarks. 'I'm a little jealous,' grins Marston, who notes that Al's ghost tags along on the date. 'I'm a little happy when it doesn't work out.'
Later, Al's mission becomes more clear when Luna tells him to get Marcie to Angel Square ASAP. He succeeds, and she ends up saving Michael's life - or so she thinks. Michael actually dies, and that's when Al's spirit enters his body.
'I can't tell her,' explains Marston. 'It's one of the rules. You're given this huge opportunity based on the fact that true love can win out. It can beat anything, even death. If I can get her [to fall in love with me] through my spirit being in someone she can't stand, and make her love me to the point that she can look right though this body and into my heart and see my spirit - well, then, I guess I should still be here.'
Marston is glad that, despite his recent firing (see next issue for the full story), he's still here, too. 'Things are going to be interesting with this new character,' he promises. 'It's awesome. I have waited my whole acting life to say this: 'I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV.'
This is gonna be some good stuff, I can't wait to watch this SL unfold. Sounds like it'll worth the wait.
thanx Tina

aka whitetiger or Eevil Awakening -On the outside I may look like a sweet little cat but beware because underneath it all is a ferocious tiger ready to pounce at a moments notice.
Natalie: "Al, when are you gonna realize that love isn't supposed to be this hard? When it's meant to be, it just happens."
Al: "Oh, whatever, in what fairy tale?"

Its a tall order... but we have the right man for the job
Ran across article I wrote for online rag that never took hold, while taking inventory of disks of saved things over the years. Excerpt:
"Someone once told me in the OLTL chatroom that they don't miss a day of OLTL because a day without OLTL could feel like a cold day without putting on their warm fuzzy slippers. What did this fan mean? Perhaps she was referring to watching Carlotta doing quite a job "cleaning up" at the poker table, listening to Smokey Robinson put out the old school jams. Or maybe this fan meant that watching an intense moment on our favorite soap listening to a dramatic fluty piece of music in the background can make us sense a fresh and innocent feeling in the air. Well, this is a soap OPERA after all.
I've heard it said that OLTL can feel like the rain that pours or the lightening that crashes, as the band, Live, would sing. Whether we're being provoked to tears while watching Max grieve for Luna with their song "I Still Believe in You" playing... or to blows hearing the sound of Delores O'Riordan's voice (of the Cranberries) reverberating "What's in Your Head" from "Zombie" reverberating throughout Rodi's as Blair blasts Max for dirty dealing, OLTL has been hitting the mark for awhile now...
Perhaps some of the most gripping music selections is yet to come for those of us who are romantics. My personal recommendation is to keep an ear open to Natalie Merchant's introspective songs that have been floating around Llanview. I dedicate "Wonder" to baby Starr."

I love his sense of humor.
