7.31p Patch Release Notes

We're pleased to announce the release of ezboard 7.31p. This is a significant release that fixes many longstanding production bugs and ezInbox bugs, enhances Forum Find, and introduces improved security.

We sincerely hope you enjoy an improved ezboard experience as a result of this latest patch. As always, please feel free to discuss this latest patch release or leave us your comments.

Bug Fixes and Enhancements:

ezboard 7.31p Patch Release

Board & User:

1. Mark Forum Read Bug #1: Mark forum read and the unread icon does not go away until the user refreshes his/her browser (caching issue)

2. Mark Forum Read Bug #2: Come back to a forum you previously marked read, and topics with no new replies and edits are marked as new again

3. Users unable to delete community memberships

4. Cannot reset account preferences page

5. Unable to look up ezSupporters or non-Supporters in Member List :
this fix will take up to 24 hours to become effective, it should be working by the end of today. It may already work for smaller boards but the ones with over 1000 members may take a little longer for the list to populate.

6.Recent contributors cannot get into Supporter/Contributors forums

7.Recently visited communities list in a user�s Control Center lists duplicates

ezInbox Bugs:

8.Email change not updating for inbox messages forwarded to email address
If you had previously changed your email, and your inbox messages were going to the old email, you may need to change the email again to activate this bugfix. Just change it to the current email to update the inbox forwarding.

9. New message indicator at forum and topic listing level not working for user accounts

10. Select users unable to accept inbox messages even though inbox is turned on

Forum Find:

11. Opt out functionality from Forum Find is missing
In the Forum Find settings section, you'll now see a "Make my community searchable" check box. If your board is not showing in forumfind and you want it to show, go to forumfind settings, make sure the box "make my community searchable" is checked, and save changes. If you want your board to be unsearchable, uncheck that box and save changes.

12. Recent posts in a user�s profile or Control Center are not displaying posts made on boards listed in the new Forum Find

13. Meta tags are not updating keywords and description in the new Forum Find
Community's Meta Tags are now being updated with current keywords and description. Please check your source code of your forum listing page to see whether or not they have been updated, if not, simply go into your Forum Find settings and save changes.

Also, to allow for faster results from keyword or phrase searches, we've slightly slowed down the update process. Your new changes will be reflected in the Forum Find search in approximately 5-10 minutes.

Another change made with this patch is the free gold/free ezsupporter ads are no longer provided by google, they are now provided by bidclix. They should be about the same size as the google ads, plain text banners on the topic page.
