A place to vent my anxiety
OK. So, I just called a loan company to put my application in for a mortgage. This is one of the most nerve wracking things I have ever done. I feel so completely at their mercy and all of my hopes and dreams of this wonderful home I want to buy are all tied up in a big ball that is bouncing around in their hands.
The loan officer is supposed to be calling me back later today to let me know if I am approved or not, at least at a very early preliminary level. I hate waiting. Waiting is always the hardest part.

Grrr. I just called the loan company back to see what was going on and the told me they were too busy to get to my application processed today. I hate waiting!

Hmmm, good luck. Though I have to say they're falling over themselves over here to give people mortgages. You'd have to go some to be turned done for anything less than 5-6*salary.

OK, I got the informal thumbs up from the mortgage company!
Now, I just have to fill out a stack of forms, gather up several months of bank statements, two years worth of W-2's, and two months worth of pay stubs, and then submit them all to them for a more firm approval.
Despite that, I went ahead and put a deposit down on the house! Thanks again for all of your support guys, you rock.
