AI 3: semi-finals
So, who are you all feeling after Night 1 of the Semi-finals? I think Diana was my fave of everyone. Fantasia was good too but there's something about her that just bugs me and I can't put my finger on it. I don't know who my 2nd pick would be, maybe one of the guys. What do you all think?
and a little tidbit, I was checking out the AI site and saw that 20 or the 32 are female. so, it's a little more likely that the winner might be female but ya never know.

-On the outside I may look like a sweet little cat but beware because underneath it all is a ferocious tiger ready to pounce at a moments notice.
Congrats to The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, as well as, the director Peter Jackson for their Golden Globe wins. This was 3 years in the making. Bring on the Oscars, and LOTR's 11 noms.

I like Diana. Her voice was just amazing! I agree with you that Fantasia did a good job, but there's something just a little off-putting about her. I liked Matthew too, I thought he did such a great job.. but for some reason the judges weren't very impressed. I also thought the cheerleader with really cute hair did AWESOME!
Re: AI 3: semi-finals
yeah I did like Matt too. Paula and Simon did like him, they were more favorable towards the girls but they did like him. Didn't Simon say he had presence or something? Maybe he'll make the wild card show. I wish we knew if anyone from this group was gonna be on the wild card show instead of having to wait for the other 3 rounds. But I guess they gotta look at everyone before choosing anyone.
Diana was definitely the best and I'm glad she's through to the next round.

Re: AI 3: semi-finals
Is Diana the young one? I like her, but i am all about Fantasia. All my friends loved her before she opened her mouth. But, there r 2 things that she needs to do during her AI competion.
1. Get a grammar coach. When u live in America good grammar is your friend.
2. Stop all that spazz-like jerking around. It detracts from your performance.
If i see her improve in these areas I will stand behind her and vote all the way.
Matt was ok, but his voice was unimpressive.
Also, did u see how he tried to comfort everyone and no1 paid him any mind?

I think you hit these too points right on. I don't know if I'd like her anymore if she changed these things but that's JMO. Ya never know though, she could manage to win me over, we'll just have to wait and see.
I wasn't real, real impressed with Matt's voice either but perhaps it was just the song. we'll see if he gets a chance to come back in the wild-card show. and I'm not sure if I remember him trying to comfort everyone but maybe I just wasn't paying attention to that.

Week 2
That was probably the worst group at this point in the competition in all 3 seasons that the show has been on. Even the ones who were "good" this week weren't even close to the top ones from last week. My sister told me that Clay had said that he didn't think that the top 2 from this week would do very well and I'm thinking that he was right.
I did like Camile though but to me it seemed like she was holding back some, I thought if she opened up more in her performance it might have been better. I felt sure that I knew who the top 3 would be, the same as I believe the judges thought. It came as a complete shock to me when Ryan announced Matt in the top 3 and I was even more shocked when he was one of two moving on. I wonder if people voted for him cause of his personality.

You're so right
Fantasia has an awesome voice... but several times I had to close my eyes to listen to her, because if you watch her for too long, she can start to annoy you. And then you don't pay attention to that beautiful voice.
And she just needs to quit that spastic dancing.. I think she calls it the Bobo? <- That's what it looks like. I could be wrong about the name.

AI, Week 2
Jen u were not the only surprised by Group 2. I was warned they weren't going to be very good, but that mess that i saw was horrible.
Then to add insult to injury they put Matt thru. Now i like Matt. But he didn't deserve to go that far. He just didnt. No spark, nothing particularly good about his voice or delivery. And neither he or the girl sang their songs any better than the first time!! They will be the first people cut. I can't imagine it getting worse than Group 2. And if it does AI might want to just hang it up.

I seriously hope that it was a case of all the bad picks just ending up in one group of semi-finalists. I mean there are usually ones that don't seem up to par but usually they are more spread out between the groups. They've never had one group at this round that was overall this bad. As you said, I can't imagine it getting any worse and we still have two more groups to endure so let's all hope it's gets better from here, for everyone's sake.

week 3
this round was so much better.
but i really like latoya she was awesome but i didn't like amy that much i really wanted john to move on maybe he will get pick for the wild card show i hope.
I liked the pink haired girl. i thought her name was Amanda.
But LaTonya BLEW THE ROOF OFF!! That girl was bad! The only thing that will stop her from winning the whole thing is if she wont let her personality show thru more. The audience will hold it against u if u act too reserved. But perhaps by the time we get to the final 12 she will come out of her shell.
I was going for Fantasia b4, but LaTonya is a lot closer to an AI, IMO. She also speaks very well. Sorry, really bad grammar drives me nuts. Slang never hurt anyone, but if someone cant enunciate i want to tear my hair out!
I did not and have not liked any of the guy performers so far. none of them.
Cute sig Amb77

ITA on week 3.
The show is back!! I'm sure the judges were feeling relieved, especially after what happened the previous week. Even the worst singers from this show were much better than some that went in week 2, perhaps even all.
The girl with the pink hair's name is Amy. I liked her but I'm not so sure about her hair...I don't know, maybe it'll grow on me.
I completely agree about LaToya, when she sang I was like whoa this girl can sing. I instantly had a new favorite in this competition. and I knew that she was gonna be one of the finalists cause people had to have been crazy not to vote for her. It was just a matter as to who was gonna fill the second spot.
I kinda agree about the guys MsT, none have particularly impressed me either.

Re: AI 3: semi-finals, Group 4
I think group 4 sucked-not as bad, but rite bhind group 2. So i pick Fantasia or Latonya for AI. Except for the red head girl from Group 2, I didnt like anyone they r bringing back for the wildcard round. and i dont like any of the guys at all. barely mediocre voices.
