i WAS just coming to post this! u totally beat me to it.
I am gonna watch, even though I already know after last season what a scam most of it is. But the tryouts are a hoot and a half.
Also if any AI2 fans read this: I got Ruben's CD and loved it! It was a nice mix of old R&B and new R&B,very little rap. I was pleasantly surprised. And it was a hit with my family.
Kim Locke's 1st album should drop in March. I am looking forward to that cuz' i really enjoyed her 1st single.
Re: AMERICAN IDOL 3
yeah I watched that last night. It is fun to laugh at all the bad ones, ya have to block your ears sometimes though. I just can't believe that there are still so many people out there that actually think they are this great singer when they aren't at all. There were some good singers in the bunch so we'll just have to see where they go from here. I can't wait to watch again tonight to see what they through at us.
oh, and thanks for the info on Ruben's album MsT. Maybe eventually I'll pick it up, I have Clay's album(well actually my sister got it and I copied it, shh don't tell anyone). and Kim's album should be good too.

Natalie: "Al, when are you gonna realize that love isn't supposed to be this hard? When it's meant to be, it just happens."
Al: "Oh, whatever, in what fairy tale?"
OH YEAH!
I'm watching AI3 all the way to the end! I watched yesterday, and the horrible singers just crack me up!!!!!! I love them, bless their hearts. And Simon and Randy crack me up.
Does any1 else think...
that Randy is getting more Simon this time around? He is really getting harder on people this season. Actually so is Paula.
I also have Clay's album. I love the sound of his voice, but the material didn't do him justice. I think my fave song is "Run To Me" and "I Survived U"
He will be completely fabulous if they get him some better songs. Clay's voice has great depth and they should find him songs like "Solataire" which he blew out of orbit.
Oh yeah
I'm wondering if the producers told him to be meaner this time around, and Paula too.. because they were NOT like this the first two seasons. Randy keeps laughing at people, right in their face, just like Simon. And even Paula is a grouch.
Re: Oh yeah
yeah it does seem like they are. But with all the really bad auditions they have to listen to, I certainly don't blame them. I mean on wed when they were showing Houston, I think they were there for 3 days and they only got 13 people who were good enough. That's a lot of bad audtions to listen to. plus a lot of the people have really bad attitudes too. Like that one guy who they told that he'd be good for broadway but he's not for the competition. he acted like they said he was bad and I wouldn't take it that way at all. His voice just wasn't suited to be a pop singer that's all. It's a good thing to be told that you have a voice suited for Broadway, was he not listening when they said that?
Hopefully, Paula and Randy won't be still acting like Simon after they get past the initial auditions.

Re: Oh yeah
Jen, i dunno...
i think that Paula and Randy are gonna be quite different this season, but we'll see.
But I agree all those bozo the clowns insisting they could sing would make me irritable too. And quite frankly I would be fifty times ruder than any of them have been. But maybe I am just Eeeevvvill....
Re: Oh yeah
I think that Paula and Randy will be different this season too but I hope they'll be some type of improvement over what we've seen. Don't know if I can take more than one Simon. I do love Simon honesty, etc. but I like the other two having their differences cause it provides for some variety in the show. I don't know we'll see.
Is anyone gonna go to the Kelly and Clay tour. I heard they are coming to my home town so I might get tickets. My younger sister wants me too and have them be an early birthday present for her. I have til tomorrow(sat) morning to decide since that's when the tics go on sale.

Jen,
I was going to go. but to be honest some of Clay's fans turn me off. They r soo loud u cant hear him sing. and i visited some of his fan boards and some of them r planning to do really stupid stuff bcuz they dont like Kelly. Juvenile crap, ya know?
Also, i'd like to wait until his 2nd Album comes out and see what he has to offer. But if u go, let me know how it turns out. He doesnt seem to enjoy things like he did last year during the AI concert.
Re: Jen,
I did get tickets cause my sister really wanted to go, they are not the best seats but it's better than nothing.
I really hope some of those so called Clay fans don't do stupid stuff during the show. Whatever it is I'm sure Clay wouldn't appreciate it at all. What is their problem with Kelly anyways? Hopefully if there's any of those idiots at this show they won't be anywhere near me. I enjoy both Kelly and Clay and mostly likely a lot of other people there would feel the same way. If they ruin the show for me, I'm not gonna be happy that's for sure. I'll be sure to let ya know how it goes though, it's not til March 8th so there's still a little bit of time.

Mass?? That is the day he is supposed to be here where I live!
Now I am mad, cuz we could have met up or something. I wonder if it is too late to find a ticket? Well i heard he will do some more dates after the Independent tour alone. So maybe i will catch him then.
Some were planning to walk out during her performance. Some of his fans r just stupid there is no other way to describe them. They act like the boy is Jesus instead of just a really good singer. They dont think anyone is good enuf for him, so they r dogging her.
They r also supposed to be throwing underwear and have fancy lites to show they support Clay and etc...
Re: Jen are you from...
yeah I'm from MA...live in Worcester actually, where the show is gonna be. I thought I mentioned that before somewhere on the forum but I guess you missed it. The show being here in Worcester was one reason why I was willing to get tickets cause if it was anywhere else I probably wouldn't have been able to go.
I don't know if you could still get tickets but you could try. There actually was an internet pre-sale, which if I knew about I might have been able to get better seats but oh well.
yeah from what you're saying it does sound like some of Clay's fans are just stupid. They are probably just immature little girls or something. I kinda understand Clay fans not liking Ruben(don't agree with it but understand) but Kelly wasn't even in the same competition. I mean sure Clay is a really good singer but there are allowed to be more than one good singer around.
