Addendum FAQ to: Upgrade your Browsers!
This is an addendum FAQ for the Browser Upgrade recommendation topic.

Can I install more than one browser?
Yes. In fact you can run multiple browsers at once.

I use the browser/software my ISP (e.g., Earthlink, etc…) gave me. Can I upgrade?
Yes. Software packages that come with your ISP usually come with a browser that was available at the time. Your internet connection is independent of this browser. It’s just like using an email program. Some prefer one over another but will all work as long as your connection works.

I run Linux!
Then you probably know EXACTLY what you are doing ;) . Incidentally text-only browsers like LYNX will be able to access content much easier with web-standards than with legacy HTML code.

Upgrade? No way, I like my current browser and I am not changing!
That’s ok too. Netscape 4 is an example of particularly inferior browser product that some people still use. These users will see a text format that is fully legible and functional – but no bells and whistles or graphics.
