Al was in rare form today...
He went back and forth between sweet and pleading to straight up manipulation. Al has been so sweet lately I almost forgot how he could really get when he goes after someting he really wants!

Al is back, baby!
Glad somebody lit a fire under that boy's butt! Yes, Angel Al was sweet, but give me layered, expressive, complex Al anytime.
Man, I'm so glad the emoticons are back!

Oh, Al is back alright and I LOVE IT!
He is just the most adorable man! Angle AL is nice but I want Al and Marcie to be able to hold one another and kiss. I am going through withdrawl without their affection.

Who can resist him pouting??
Not Luna... thats for sure, and lucky for us, so he can "enter" Michael's body.. eww... that sounds weird.
I'm glad to see this show is showcasing what is so right in front of them.. that Nathaniel could sweep anyone off their feet with that face... that smile, that pout... oh anything.

Ran across article I wrote for online rag that never took hold, while taking inventory of disks of saved things over the years. Excerpt:
"Someone once told me in the OLTL chatroom that they don't miss a day of OLTL because a day without OLTL could feel like a cold day without putting on their warm fuzzy slippers. What did this fan mean? Perhaps she was referring to watching Carlotta doing quite a job "cleaning up" at the poker table, listening to Smokey Robinson put out the old school jams. Or maybe this fan meant that watching an intense moment on our favorite soap listening to a dramatic fluty piece of music in the background can make us sense a fresh and innocent feeling in the air. Well, this is a soap OPERA after all.
I've heard it said that OLTL can feel like the rain that pours or the lightening that crashes, as the band, Live, would sing. Whether we're being provoked to tears while watching Max grieve for Luna with their song "I Still Believe in You" playing... or to blows hearing the sound of Delores O'Riordan's voice (of the Cranberries) reverberating "What's in Your Head" from "Zombie" reverberating throughout Rodi's as Blair blasts Max for dirty dealing, OLTL has been hitting the mark for awhile now...
Perhaps some of the most gripping music selections is yet to come for those of us who are romantics. My personal recommendation is to keep an ear open to Natalie Merchant's introspective songs that have been floating around Llanview. I dedicate "Wonder" to baby Starr."

Oh Tink, isn't Marcie just the luckiest darned girl in the world.. her man being THAT man, and coming from the DEAD to stay with her????
I'm bad though.. she never gets to touch that body of his though... only Michael's... not the same..
But what's cool is that it wouldn't be sex about bodies.. that's what intriques me. I've always been such an ego driven woman, its hard for me to fathom, and this show is going to take me places I've never been before... just like the Enterprise I guess.

For Marcie it was never about his body anyway. Interesting how the show (at least the scenes I've seen) hasn't exploited NM's physicality at all. We've seen everyone under 30 without a shirt on, except maybe Riley but then again I've only seen Marcal edits. But not NM...I wondered about that, in my shallower moments. On that Soaptalk Disneyland interview, where BMH and TT took off their shirts, NM was like "No, I'm not doing that." And we only got the back view during the love scene. So I'm wondering if its a personal choice? A "no gratitious shirtless scenes" in his contract? Or are they demphasizing the fact that he has an extraordinary body, while KB is more like the rest of us? (Actually I'd love to be as cute as she is, but that's another story).
One thing I wish they'd done with this story is introduce Michael earlier to show what a real jerk he is. If Al has to "redeem" this guy somehow, then I need to see exactly what needs redeeming. Yeah, he was a jerk in the restaurant and later at the hospital, but come on, Rex has been a bigger jerk than that to Marcie for months. Maybe Michael does something monumentally awful between now and Friday, who knows, or maybe the way everyone else reacts to him when Al is in his body might give us an indication of how lost this man was, but right now I'm not seeing much of a problem besides getting back into Marcie's good graces. Which theoretically shouldn't be that hard, its not like Marcie is hard hearted, she's very forgiving and compassionate.
Unless...maybe she makes a complete 180 (which I would LOVE to see) when Angel Al bids her adieu. She's never been without him, really, except the couple of days after he died. Now thinking he's gone forever might send her over the deep end, which would be cool. Then she'd have to find her way back to both Al and herself, the person she was before he left her. Could be interesting, if it plays out that way. We'll have to see what the writers have in mind.

Re: Al is back, baby!
i have to agree Kathy. I have yet to see anything so horrible about Michael. He seemed like a jerkoff you'd never bother to talk to/about, not hate for life. Just not drastic enuf. mayb they will show how contemptuous he is/was after NM takes over.
I do love the way this storyline is shaping up though. Looks like fun.

Re: Al is back, baby!
It does seem a little too simplistic of a storyline.. get her to see his soul by Valentine's day... I was worried about OLTL doing supernatural.. they don't have PC's writers, ya know? Its simple enough...
So funny, I called the comment line a month or so ago saying how were going to see a supernatural storyline which will interest PC viewers who are watching Michael Easton, but how they weren't there to see Marcie and Al fall in love... I guess I'm on the same page with not only NM, but the writers at OLTL... what a trip... because we get to see it happen again, Marcie and Al connect5. Bottom line, if its soapy, so be it. I hope we'll be surprised at the depth, and see all these opportunities for NM to showcase his talent reacting to living in another body and all, but bottom line... the writers have to know that they have to play it safe to a certain degree.. they are venturing into supernatural, but there has to be a safety net. I'm willing to give them the room to take the steps they need to to play it safe, because KB and NM... they can make the most formulaic story... sizzle with life.

I think this s/l is superficially supernatural. Its not really playing in a supernatural way. Sure we have Angel Al and Angel Luna, but if they didn't keep reminding us they were dead we'd think they were alive. And I still think the two characters will merge eventually and become one person, thus jettisoning any remnants of the supernatural. I usually avoid anything supernatural like the plague (don't get me started on PC and Days) but I'm buying this s/l because 1) I know its just an attempt to write out of the hole the writers dug themselves into when they killed off Al 2) It carries a huge amount of romantic/conflict potential and 3) NM is on my tv screen, so I'll accept whatever they throw at me, supernatural or not for the time being.
