As the name indicates...this RPG will revolve around Crossroads and New Beginnings.CrossroadsWe would like to see characters come to a 'crossroads' in their lives where important and life changing decisions have to be made. These events can be very personal...i.e. a relationship beginning, ending or changing, or they can be moral or spiritual. Whatever is decided, they should show 'growth' for your character.New BeginningsThis can be any number of items as well and most likely will relate back to the 'crossroads' in your character(s)' life or lives and/or career. They may be starting a new career as teacher or student at Xavier's School for the Gifted or may have been selected to train for the upcoming X-Men team(s). Their 'new beginning' once again may be as simple as establishing a new relationship or changes in an old one.

An Ice Wolf PicnicWho: Iceman and Wolfsbane When: Mid Morning Where: Wolfsbane’s Room to Lakeside OOC: JP between Mana (Iceman) and Thena (Wolfsbane).
Rahne didn’t wanna get up...nope...not when she was having some killer dreams about a yummy muscular body with a pair of icy blue eyes that just set her body on fire. She burrowed deeper into her blankets for a few more moments before giving up and slipping from the linen. Clad only in a pair of silk sleep shorts and a belly baring cami, Wolfsbane ran a hand through her tousled auburn locks, headed for the ensuite bathroom she currently had all to herself.
He’d already gotten all of it together, every last thing he could think of that the two of them would need to enjoy a nice morning tea, or early lunch, picnic together, beside the lake, or so he intended to show her too, having already set it all up, complete with candles he wouldn’t light until they got there, lest the gentle breeze blow them over and turn all his hard work to ash.
Knocking gently on the door, Bobby grinned as he said his girlfriend’s name, “Rahne, hey Baby, you awake yet?” he asked.
Tossing a damp towel towards her hamper from washing her face, Rahne answered the door as she was, still in her night clothes. 'Yeah, I’m up," she told him, not at all worried about being half naked.
Ice blue eyes went slightly wide for a few seconds before he finally found his composure and was able to speak, the first thing coming to his mind a very cheeky comment along with a very cheeky smile, “Well, I certainly chose the right time to come to your room, now didn’t I? Look at that,” and his eyes roamed over her body.
She smelled the hormone change on him and grinned. "Yeah, look at that…." she said with a grin as she walked to her closet and began poking around. "What’s up?" she asked.
“Aside from my… well…” he looked down, and an embarrassed look came over his face, “Okay, nothing, just thought you might be hungry?” he offered, while he casually walked over to stand behind something so it wasn’t so obvious the effect she was having on him, dressed like that. Wow!
Rahne turned and looked at him, a knowing smile tugging at her lips. "Yeah...I know," she grinned at him as she tugged a sundress off a hanger and looked at it. "I’d ask you how cold it was outside...but that’s redundant.'
The Iceman had to laugh at that, nodding, “Yeah, well, that’s true,” he simply said, before turning around so she could get dressed without ice blue eyes perving at her the whole time.
Rahne smiled at his turning around, quickly slipping out of the jemmies and into the short pale green sundress that only reached mid-thigh. She slipped her feet into a pair of espadrilles and walked to the dresser and brushed out her copper locks.
“Can I turn back around yet?” Bobby asked, grinning to himself.
"Oh yeah...sorry," she said with a grin, as she tossed on a bit of honey flavoured body dust to her neck and shoulder and chest area.
“Oh, come on, Rahne, you could have told me it was okay to turn around when there was still something to peek at!” he protested, with a very cheeky pout, “You’re no fun.”
"Patience is a virtue, Bobby," Rahne said, as she walked over to him and kissed him softly.
“And something easily iced,” he quipped, reaching up fingers to caress those lips he then planted a kiss of his own on.
"If you wanna see...all you have to do is ask Bobby...I’ve been waiting for you," she whispered against his lips.
Again, the ice-creating mutant’s face went slightly red, and he stammered for his next words, “Ah, Baby, it’s not that I don’t… ah… want to see right now, it’s just… I have another surprise that will be spoiled if we leave it alone for much longer,” he tried to explain, without maybe hurting her feelings for turning her down at this particular time.
She smiled and kissed him gently. "What surprise?" she asked him.
“Ah, well, if I told you what it was it wouldn’t be a surprise, now would it?” he asked, thankful for his age and experience, considering he wanted to get her there using one of the fastest modes of transport possible, and also one he knew she liked. So, even as he held her, the ice formed beneath their feet, lifting them both up, “So, ready?” he asked, grinning at her.
"Always," she said, as she slipped her arms around him for balance. She trusted him.
Instead of leaving a trail of melting ice all the way from the girls dorms down the stairs and on out through the back door, Bobby decided the best path to take was through the large window in Wolfsbane’s window, pausing only long enough to open it, before, using an ice slide taken years to perfect, he travelled them out to where the picnic was set up, smiling and holding his girl tightly all the way.
She kept her eyes closed the whole way, the sliding still made her a bit seasick at times, especially at his breakneck speeds, but she loved every minute of it.
“Okay, Wolfsbane,” he said, his slide coming to a slow stop, “You can open your eyes now,” his tone held a tinge of sarcasm, knowing full well even though she loved this usage of his powers, it still made her feel queasy.
She opened them and looked around, a smile unmistakeable. The ice slide lowered beneath them until their feet were once again touching the ground, Iceman studying Rahne’s reaction for a few seconds, before moving over to sit down, patting the blanketed ground nearby him, “So, you like what you see?” he asked, yet another cheeky glint in his eyes.
"Are you asking about the picnic…or about you?" she asked as she walked over and sat gently, tucking her feet under herself to keep her skirt from exposing too much.
“Look in to my eyes, Babe, what do you think?” he asked, grinning from ear to ear.
She grinned and met those blue eyes, her own sparkling lightly. "I love what I see.." she whispered.
“So do I, my wolf girl,” he whispered back, holding out his arms, demanding without saying it that he wanted her in them right now.
She moved easily into his arms, snaking her hands up around the back of his neck gently.
“We’ll eat after a bit of something else, okay?” he asked, not getting her answer, instead lying back and pulling her down with him, hand gently pulling her face down to meet his lips.
Rahne smiled, her hair falling around the both of them gently, hiding them away from the world for the next several moments. She kissed him back, one hand supporting her weight and the other playing gently on his chest.
Summary: Iceman treats Rahne to a morning tea/early lunch picnic, a little making out performed as the entrée.
Who: Jim When: Mid-morning Where: Jim's room to lakeside
Normally, Jim Anderson was a morning person. Unlike his older brother, he didn't wiggle under the covers until only his hair was exposed while murmuring incoherent nonsense. No, when he woke up, he woke up. Slid out of bed, glanced in the mirror, and got ready for the day. "Start the day with a smile, and get it over with" someone once said. Of course, Jim wasn't pessimistic or anything, but it was his general idea on mornings.
Today, however, Jim woke up, but he didn't get out of bed. Rather, he snuggled with his pillow, shifting his shoulders to get more of the thick blankets on him. The bed he was sleeping on was incredibly soft, and waking up in the morning feeling all warm and lethargic made getting out of bed the least on his mind. And then it dawned on him; this wasn't his room.
Sitting up, he looked around with wide eyes. The pale yellow walls shone in the morning sun, the shadows from the tree outside his room casting dancing shadows on the floor. There were noises outside of his room, voices, and for a second Jim was afraid, before he realized where he was: Xavier's mansion.
Letting out a sigh, Jim fell back onto the bed, staring at the ceiling. This room was so unlike his own. His room was beige and green -- comforting colors -- while this one was soft, innocent. And while his bed wasn't as comfortable as this one, nor was it as large, it was still his. Unlike this one, that belonged to who knew.
Suddenly uncomfortable with sleeping in someone elses bed, Jim got out. He made the bed, before stepping back and kneeling down to dig in his backpack for some clothes to change into. Clad in a pair of dark, baggy jeans and a solid brown t-shirt, Jim examined himself in the mirror, biting his lip nervously. Did he scream "outside", he wondered? Obviously, the people here knew each other, so in a sense he did, but... would they like him?
Deciding standing around staring at himself in the mirror and worrying wasn't going to get him anywhere, Jim opened the door and looked left, then right, trying to remember how he had gotten this room last night. That one picture looked familiar...
Turning right, he walked down the hall, blushing when people spotted him. For the most part though, he was ignored. They were probably used to seeing new people. He turned down a couple more halls, went down some stairs, and finally came to a door leading outside. It was probably better then staying inside walking around, Jim figured, so he walked outside, taking in the huge grounds. Going down a random path, he'd pause and watch kids playing, hurrying on before he was noticed.
Continuing on his little quest, Jim looked around in amazement. Boston sure didn't look like this, he thought. And then he heard voices.
“We’ll eat after a bit of something else, okay?”
Recognizing the voice as someone who he'd seen last night, Jim turned towards the voice, and then looked away, blushing heavily. Just his luck to walk in on two people making out!
Summary: Jim wakes up and walks to the lakeside, then blushes when he sees Bobby and Rahne making out.
Re: An Ice Wolf PicnicWho: Iceman & Wolfsbane With: Blau, but not for much longer. When: Lunch Time, after Midday by now. Where: Lakeside OOC: JP between Thena (Wolfsbane) & Mana (Iceman).
A stolen moment in time, lost in his kiss and his hands, Rahne felt herself very much at peace, for the first time in a long time. She had loved Piotr, there wasn’t any doubt about that...but what she felt for Bobby was so much more solid, long term. She ran a manicured hand through his hair slowly, feeling her heart beat n her chest as they continued teasing the other. The wind changed, ever so slightly, but it was enough for the animorph to note the new comers smell. "Bobby...someone’s here..’" she whispered against his lips.
If he had moved faster at any other time, many would not have expected it, Bobby’s hand moving from a place it shouldn’t really have been out in the open like this, careful to move the wolf girl’s top back over as he did so. “Damnit!” he muttered, looking around. “Which dir…” and then he paused, noting one of the teen’s that’d followed them first to the pizza place, and then back here to the mansion last night. “Ok, never mind, I see him,” he announced, calling out, “Hey, private moment here, kid!” before he motioned with his hand, and the very thick, but not everlasting ice wall formed to block Blau's line of sight and more.
Rahne giggled at him. "Bobby...that was almost mean, but right now...I don’t care...now…where were we?" she asked him, a smile tugging on her kiss swollen lips.
Leaning in to plant a passionate kiss on her lips, he pointed to the food, “That’s gonna spoil, and I spent so much time preparing it too,” he said, the fake pout almost believable, “and that wall ain’t gonna last long either, not in this weather.”
"Good point... eat and then head back inside and find an empty room with a lock on the door," Rahne said as she sat up, brushing wind blown red hair out of her face before turning to the food. "What did you make anyway..?" she asked.
“Ah, tuna something…” he answered, shrugging, “and, um,” he looked all sheepish, blue eyes holding that cheeky spark, “ah, I didn’t make it, the mansion’s new Chef did,” he admitted.
Rahne smirked. "I should have known....you aren’t one for kitchen work, Love," she teased him gently. "But the thought was there…and that’s all that counts…" she told him. “And it’s a great little surprise."
“Little?!” he exclaimed, looking almost hurt.
"I didn’t mean it like that Bobby...I’m sorry...the picnic is beautiful," she said, feeling really bad that shed upset him.
Bobby had to actually laugh at the genuineness of her apology, before he reached over and pulled her into his arms, “Rahne, Darling, Babe, my Wolf Girl, this is the Iceman you are dating and talking to here, I was so joking, girl,” he simply said, between chuckles.
Green eyes narrowed at him. Teasing wasn’t something that she tolerated too well. Too many childhood days being teased in the schoolyard sat in the back of her mind. A slight growl sounded in her chest as she turned and pinned him to the blanket below them, her long hair swaying in the breeze.
Still laughing, Bobby looked up into her eyes, saying nothing, but saying much at the same time. He had known Rahne for a very long time, and knew many of her darker secrets, yet, he didn’t much care that she could actually tear his throat out with her own teeth if she got angry enough.
She leaned down, moving towards his ear and then....licked him all the awy up to his nose before moving back to sit up.
“Urgh! Oh, okay, I love you Rahne, but do you have to do that?” he asked, rubbing the side of his face with the sleave of his long sleeved shirt as he too sat back up.
She grinned at him as she wiped off his face with her hand. "Then dont tease me.."
Grinning at her, he simply said, “You opened the door, I simply chose, at that moment, to walk in,” his other hand reaching over to pull out the container of tuna, a mixture of mayonnaise and something spicy within it. “Actually, no, sorry, I opened the door, you walked in, then tripped over as I stuck my foot out in front of you!” he cracked up again, “I’m sorry, I just can’t help it!”
She looked at him and then turned away, facing the lake for a moment, although she couldn’t see it, she could smell the water.
Serving up the food, Iceman scooted forward, the bowl of spicy tuna, accompanied with two pieces of French bread suddenly appearing in front of her, as he brought it around from behind, “Here, Baby, eat,” he said, now a little concerned he’d gone too far with his usual joking. He was Bobby, and always would be, he just hoped Rahne would eventually learn not to take him so seriously… he was far from that in any way, shape, or form.
"Thanks,' she said softly as she took the bowl from him. Most of the time, she was able to brush off his teasing, but this morning, who knew why. Maybe she was getting close to that time.
“Rahne, you gonna talk to me?” he asked, taking a forkful of his food, “I mean, like, as lovely as your back is, I would much rather see that gorgeous face of yours.”
"Yeah sorry.." she said, turning back towards him as she dipped her bread into the tuna mixture and took a bite of it.
Iceman just looked at her, ice blue eyes full of deep affection, “Iceman, Wolfsbane, Wolfsbane, Iceman, there, now, can we start again?” he asked, smiling at the same time he was chewing.
She couldn’t help but smile at him. "Yeah...sorry...I’m just oversensitive this morning I guess."
“Let me take a wild shot in the dark here, but, it’s a girl thing, right?” he inquired, leaning his head to the side a little, a very knowing look in his eyes.
"Yeah could be.." she said, in between bites. "Let’s not ruin lunch with that topic if we can."
“Oh, yes, let’s not,” he agreed, laughing again.
Summary: After letting the other presence to the lake know this is a private picnic, Icemen and Wolfsbane finally eat lunch.
Tags: Is still open… however, I wouldn’t recommend approaching them, unless you are one of the Staff members. Bobby will feel bad soon, though, Blau, so, yeah, don’t have ya charrie go too far.

Re: An Ice Wolf PicnicWho: Jim With: Bobby / Rahne for a paragraph When: Lunch time Where: Lakeside / path to mansion OOC: I'll be gone next Saturday until Tuesday camping. I've already posted a notice in the absent forum.
God, as if it were bad enough that he had walked in on them, they didn't look too happy to see him. Well, obviously they wouldn't, but... gah, Jim didn't even have enough time to turn around before they spotted him. His face bright red, it only turned redder when he heard the guy yell, and he turned around and got out of there as fast as he could.
Jeez. If this is the result of exploring, Jim was never going to again. He'd just learn his way to the places he needed to go (bathroom, kitchen, wherever else), and that was it. No looking for a nice spot to claim as his own, oh no. Not if people had already claimed it. Even if it was accidental, Jim walking in on them.
God, he felt like such an idiot now. He rose a hand and fisted it in his hair, clenching the dark brown strands. His face was still bright red, and to anyone it might seem as if he wasn't feeling well and had a really bad fever. Or maybe it was obvious he had walked in on two people...? Gah. He should just head back to his room. It was safe there, wasn't it? Or else, maybe he could just sit a safe distance away from everyone else and just watch them?
You'll never make friends if you don't talk to people! his brother had told him. His brother, Jason, who was so popular at his old school. Jason didn't have an issue talking to people, unlike Jim, who was shy enough to begin with, but now he found out he was a mutant? No way. Even if these other people were like him, it was still too embarressing.
Letting out a soft sigh, Jim stepped around a large rock, not really feeling like stepping over it. He wished he knew someone here, or at least had Jason here...
"You're hopeless, Jimmy," a voice said, and Jim spun around, eyes widdening at the sight of his brother. A smile began to form, before his whole face fell. Jason wasn't really here, he told himself. It was just his imagination making him.
Wrapping an arm around himself, Jim bit his lip, looking at Jason, who grinned back at him with his arms tucked behind his head. It wouldn't hurt to talk to him, would it? He WAS desperate for someone to talk to, wasn't he?
"It's nice to see you again," Jim said, a small smile forming that didn't reach his eyes. "...even if you aren't real."

"Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most." -- Mark Twain
Who: Iceman With: Wolfsbane, and eventually Jim. When: Lunch time Where: Lakeside/Path to Mansion OOC: Oooh, so sorry to take so long to reply to you, Blau… partly forgot, partly just been so darn busy. Wolfsbane mentioned and moved with permission from Thena.
He didn’t really know what time had past, but they had pretty much finished off all of the food he had packed… the ever efficient Iceman organising only enough for what he believed each of them would eat. The ice wall was still there, but the drip, drip, dripping of it as it slowly melted away was starting to get on Bobby’s nerves, something of which Wolfsbane was quick to pick up on, her heightened sense of hearing making the sound ten times more worse.
Glancing towards where he knew the kid from the pizza place had been before, Jim, was it? he couldn’t remember, he felt that feeling of guilt start to wash over him. Not only was Jim new to the school, but how was he to know Rahne and him had been out by the lake wishing for privacy? “Oh man,” Bobby suddenly said, looking at his girlfriend.
“Yep, here it comes, you’re feeling guilty now, aren’t you?” the wolf mutant asked, leaning her head to the side, feeling a sense of pride about that… one of the reasons why she loved him was cause he cared so much.
Bobby just nodded, sighing, “Yeah, come on, Wolf Girl, we have an apology to make,” he said, beginning to pack up the picnic, noting the almost identical sigh Rahne made as she too began to help him.
A few minutes later, picnic basket in hand, and his girlfriend’s hand in his other, Bobby led Rahne back around the ice wall, and on up the path he assumed Jim had headed up before. ~What a great way to introduce the newbie to mansion life, Bobby!~ he admonished himself, finally spotting the kid up ahead… and… who in the world was that with him?
"It's nice to see you again," Jim said, a small smile forming that didn't reach his eyes. "...even if you aren't real.” Ice blue eyes turned to exchange a glance with Rahne, “What the?” he wondered.
“Wouldn’t have a clue,” she replied, shrugging, but Bobby’s attention had already turned back to Jim, “Hey, Jim, right? Sorry about snapping at you before, we were just, you know… in a private moment… still, didn’t give me the right,” he apologised, putting down the picnic basket then holding his now free hand out to him, in a gesture of friendship. Bobby only hoped Jim didn’t hold grudges or something, he hardly knew the teen after all.
Summary: Iceman feels guilty about how he treated Jim, he and Rahne packing up the picnic and heading to find him.
Re: An Ice Wolf PicnicWho: Jim With: Bobby / Rahne When: Sunday, May 14th Where: On a path leading to the mansion OOC: Sorry, didn't realise you replied. And I apologise for the short post -- my thumb is really sore. Lame as it sounds, it's hindering me from doing long posts.
"Hey, ain't no thing but a chicken wing!" Jason-clone exclaimed, beaming as he flashed Jim the peace sign. Jim smiled, blushing even though there was no one around them. Jason always said the stupidest things, and it never failed to embarress Jim. Even when it was just the two of them, whenever Jason said something stupid or quoted something from a commercial, Jim would blush. Gah, with all the blushing he did, one would think Jim was a pervert. And maybe he was, thinking back on the incident he just escaped from.
Hearing whispering, Jim turned to look at the source. Seeing Bobby and Rahne, Jim's blush grew and Jason-clone disappeared immediately.
“Hey, Jim, right? Sorry about snapping at you before, we were just, you know… in a private moment… still, didn’t give me the right,” he apologised, putting down the picnic basket then holding his now free hand out to him, in a gesture of friendship.
Blushing more, Jim ducked his head so he could hide behind his bangs and took the offered hand. He felt like such an idiot now. He should have stayed in Boston. At least people knew he was really shy and stayed away. Of course, they also called him names and stuff when he walked down the school hallways, but no one actually talked to him. And it was probably because of Jason that nothing physical happened to Jim. Good old Jason, he thought fondly. Jason would be much more suited to be a mutant...
"Um, I'm sorry," Jim mumbled. "I... I should have known the lake would be... um, it's a place full of teenagers, so um..." He fell silent, his face growing increasingly redder as he tried to get his point across and failed miserably in his opinion. Trust him to screw up something as simple as accepting an apology. He should have just said 'it's okay' and left it at that. But of course, his stupidity got in the way yet again and he made himself look like a fool.
Who: Iceman With: Wolfsbane, Aglio When: Lunch Time Where: On a path leading to the mansion.
OOC: LOL, np, Blau. *Grins*
It had been clear to Bobby the night before, and it was definitely clear to him now, that Jim was a very shy, very introverted type of person, and he wasn’t entirely sure how exactly the other person that’d been there had just disappeared, but, this was a school for mutants, and it obviously had something to do with the young teen’s powers.
So, he was pleased that Jim was at least able to take and somewhat accept his offer, "Um, I'm sorry, I... I should have known the lake would be... um, it's a place full of teenagers, so um..." Bobby was quick to speak up, especially when he saw the kid’s cheeks going as red as the apple he’d been chewing on that morning, “It’s okay, Jim, you weren’t to know. After all, you only got here last night.”
Glancing around the area, eyes falling on his girlfriend for a couple seconds, the look on Iceman’s face soon changed, curiosity lining his every feature, as he asked, “So, ah, Jim, who was that with you just before?” gaze going back to the newcomer.
Re: An Ice Wolf PicnicWho: Jim With: Bobby / Rahne When: Lunch time Where: Path to mansion
“It’s okay, Jim, you weren’t to know. After all, you only got here last night.”
Jim nodded, biting his bottom lip. He wanted to say thank you, but that would be kind of weird and awkward. The situation didn't really call for a thank you, and yet it was one of those automatic things that Jim said -- like "I'm sorry." It just came out of his mouth before he even thought of it, and once it did Jim was usually embarressed.
“So, ah, Jim, who was that with you just before?”
"My bro-" he paused, then hugged himself, looking at the ground. "No one. It was no one."
Because it would be a lie to say that was his brother. The person who had just been with Jim was a figment of his imagination that had come to life and everyone could see him. It wasn't actual person, but it wasn't an inanimate object too. It was no one. It was nothing, and yet it was... something. It was confusing, that's what it was, Jim decided. Feeling the sleeve of his shirt with one hand, Jim began fiddling with it while still holding himself. He knew he would adjust here -- it was like high school. Just that you lived here. But he just kind of wanted to adjust to the situation now, so he wasn't feeling so awkward.
Even if he did adjust quickly, Jim knew he would still be feeling awkward by something as simple as someone asking him to pass the juice at meal time. Or when he got a room mate, if he ever did. He was used to sharing a room -- he shared with Jason. But his room mate might not be, and arguments might arise. Like if the person was too messy. Or too neat. Or liked bringing his girlfriends back to the room. Or...
He just knew he was going to get wrinkles and grey hair at a young age.
Summary: Jim explains who was with him before, then worries.
Who: Iceman, Wolfsbane With: Aglio When: Lunch Time, Sunday, May 14th, 2006 Where: Pathway Leading to Mansion OOC: Wolfsbane moved with her player’s permission.
Quote:"My bro-" he paused, then hugged himself, looking at the ground. "No one. It was no one."
Well, it certainly hadn't looked like no one, but, of course, Bobby didn't push the issue, his thoughts starting to lean towards two very contrasting options, 1) Head off with Wolfsbane and leave this overly shy kid be, or 2) Try and include him in something for the rest of the day that would hopefully help him come out of that shell he was tucked tightly in.
~This is going to be a long day,~ the ice-creating mutant thought, glancing at Wolfsbane.
Rahne inwardly sighed, she knew that look on her boyfriend’s face… he wasn’t about to stand by and let someone within the walls of the mansion be like this; to her, this teen was going overboard with his acting’s of embarrassment, and it was only because her heightened senses were going haywire due to the constant pheromone shifts that signalled the various emotions Jim was going through that she was currently feeling annoyed with the whole situation. It was driving her nuts, to say the least.
But, it looked like she was going to have to put up with it, if she wanted to spend the rest of the day with Bobby, a day she was hoping to spend alone with him. ~Who are you kidding, Rahne?~ she asked herself, ~It’s hard enough gettin ten minutes alone around this place, let alone a whole 24 hours!~
“So, okay,” Iceman was really at a loss for words at what to say to the newcomer, glancing around a bit before finally deciding to ask him a question that could lead to the fulfilment of that second option, “So, what is it that you like to do, Jim?” hoping it would be something that would not only be accessible, but easily accomplished here at the mansion.
Summary: Both Iceman and Rahne are a little lost of how to proceed with Aglio, especially after his rather abrupt shutting off and embarrassment about the apparition of his brother. Tags: Aglio
Re: An Ice Wolf PicnicWho: Jim With: Bobby / Rahne When: Sunday, May 14 Where: Path leading to mansion
“So, what is it that you like to do, Jim?”
"Ah... read and write," he said. A soft smile appeared as he looked at the ground. "and cooking. I really like to cook."
If there was one thing Jim was really good at, something he excelled at, it was cooking. Since he was the one who was home most of the time, cooking naturally fell to him, along with cleaning and laundry, unless Jason was home. In which case, Jason would do it. Their mom was always working, so they did all the chores so things would be easier for her.
Realizing that Bobby was trying to iniate a conversation, Jim quickly stammered, "Ah. W-what about you two?" Because, really, it was only polite to ask people about themselves if they asked something about you. Otherwise it would feel too much like an interview, and that would be... weird. Not a conversation at all. And besides, Jim appreciated that Bobby was trying to get him to open up. People usually didn't bother to.
Peering caustiously at Rahne, wondering how she was feeling towards him. Was she annoyed that he had interupted their day? Bobby seemed like the type of person who would leave a date to apologize to someone he was rude to (which he did...), but Rahne... Jim wasn't sure about Rahne. Was she really pissed at him? Resentful? He didn't want anyone mad at him, especially someone who was friends with Bobby, who was so far the friendliest stranger he knew.
Friendly stranger. Haha. That sounded like a pedophile, but Bobby wasn't a pedophile. Jim just read too much of the newspaper.
Summary: Jim replies to Bobby and wonders how Rahne feels about him.
Who: Iceman With: Aglio, Wolfsbane When: Lunch Time, Sunday, May 14th, 2006 Where: Path Leading to Mansion
Quote:"Ah... read and write," he said. A soft smile appeared as he looked at the ground. "and cooking. I really like to cook."
Bobby had to chuckle at all the information accrued in that one sentence. There were two people Jim would most likely get on with to a tee, Pyro being the writer, and Gambit being the mansion cook. “Yeah, well, I know of a couple people around here that you’d get along with pretty well, will have to introduce you to them…” at that point the look on the ice-creating mutant’s face became thoughtful seconds before he added, “Oh, hang on, you met both of them last night… Gambit or Remy… the guy with the trench coat and really weird looking eyes… and Pyro, or John, was the one constantly flicking the lid of his Zippo lighter open and closed, you might have even noticed him staring at the flames a lot too,” he grinned, glancing at Rahne and chuckling a little.
"Ah. W-what about you two?" Jim’s question didn’t have to be thought about for very long by Bobby, his answer coming simply as, “Computers, Jim, definitely computers,” and seconds later, after actually giving it some thought, “Oh, and my girlfriend here, that’s a given,” and he openly laughed, seriously wishing this kid wasn’t so darn shy. It was really hard to talk to, and include, somebody, when their tendency was to go bright red at the mere attempt to answer a question, or simply being talked to.
But, then, he did seem a little more open this time… what a relief that was!
Summary: Iceman answers Aglio, filling him in on the fact there are two people in the mansion with the same things in common with him, and that Bobby himself likes computers, and Rahne. Tags: Aglio, Wolfsbane
Who: Rahne Where: Path When: Lunch Date: March 14
Rahne ran a hand through her hair as she let Bobby speak to the kid. To be taken as a teenager was insulting..she was 23 for crying out loud. She hated the fact that they had been interupted, but even she couldnt be rude to a newcomer. That had been her at one point, but she hadnt been this painstakingly shy.
When her icy boyfriend answered what he was into, his first answer didnt shock her at all. It was the pause before his answer of her that earned him an eyebrow raise. He had to think about that?! "It's getting cold out here...I'm going to head inside," she said, her voice laced with just the tiniest amount of hurt. "I'll take that inside Bobby," Rahne said, as she reached for the basket that had contained what had been the star to what should have been a romantic day.
The scottish redhead headed into the mansion, the basket in her arms as her long red hair billowed in the breeze of her walk.
Summary: A bit hurt by Bobbs reaction, Rahne leaves for inside Tags: Bobby, Jim

Re: OOCJust an FYI: Aglio's player has informed me that he no longer even visits EzBoards anymore, so he has resigned from XRoads (am hoping he can be talked back around when the game does move to InvisionFree)...
Anyways, Thena and myself will get up a post between Rahne and Iceman soon, putting Aglio to the background, either for now, or for good.
Re: An Ice Wolf PicnicWho: Iceman & Wolfsbane With: Aglio, who is being written into the background due to his player resigning from the game… When: Early Afternoon, between 12 & 1 PM, Sunday, March 6th, 2005 Where: Path leading to Mansion - Girl’s Dorm Hallway OOC: JP between Mana (Iceman) & Thena (Wolfsbane)
Quote:"It's getting cold out here...I'm going to head inside," she said, her voice laced with just the tiniest amount of hurt. "I'll take that inside Bobby," Rahne said, as she reached for the basket that had contained what had been the star to what should have been a romantic day….
O oh, Bobby didn’t like the tone presented in his girlfriend’s voice one little bit. Looking from Aglio to her retreating figure and back again, the Iceman realised if he didn’t go after her now, to try and sort this out ASAP, there would be hell to pay later… he loved Wolfsbane for who and what she was, but her fiery temper was something he would never get used to… or want to be on the brunt end of either.
“Okay, sorry man, but I really gotta go sort out…” he let his words trail off, realising it really was none of Aglio’s business why he had to go. Heading towards the stairs, as they past the threshold into the mansion, he quickly added, over his shoulder, “I’ll try to catch up with you later, okay,” and then skipped two steps at once to reached the second floor. He honestly didn’t really know which way Rahne had disappeared to, but if she really was angry at him for some reason, she would turn back up in her room eventually… to cry and huff, if nothing else.
Rahne had stopped by the kitchen briefly, ignoring anyone that might have been in there. She took care of the picnic stuff and headed back up to her room. She kicked off her shoes and curled up on her bed with a book, letting her thoughts be lost in the trashy romance novel that she was currently in the middle of.
“Okay, so you have permission to go all Wolfsbane on me… whatever I have done, it’s obviously bad, and I am sorry I don’t even know what it was,” came the earnest statement from her boyfriend, who just so happened to be standing right there in the doorway.
She didn’t look up from her book. "You know... Raul here... he’s so much in love with the little peasant girl Serena... her father catches them together... and he didn’t even hesitate in tell him how he felt about her... can you imagine that?" she asked.
Now Bobby was beyond confused, and getting a little annoyed, “Rahne, what in the world has that got to do with whatever has happened here? How am I supposed to say sorry if I have no idea what I’ve even done?”
"Maybe I don’t want you to say you are sorry... maybe I just don’t want you to hesitate and actually think about where I fit into your list of things you enjoy..." she said, as she turned her page in the book.
“Huh?” Bobby started, then something clicked, and he had to hold back from rolling his eyes, before the actual genuine caring side of him was quick to take over, determined to allay his girlfriends fears… he could be such a guy at times. “Oh shoot, Rahne, I wasn’t listing my most favourite-to-least, I was simply saying what I liked… I didn’t mean it to sound like…” his words trailed off, “Again, I like to completely stuff this up,” and he motioned, referring to her and him… their relationship and how much it meant to him.
"Don’t worry about it," she said, as she let her eyes scan the book. She absently reached up and tucked a strand of loose red hair back behind her ear.
“Oh yeah, like that’s gonna happen,” was his honest retort, “Don’t worry about it when it made you walk off all hurt like. Sure Rahne,” he added, looking kind of like a puppy dog with its tail between its legs after being caught doing something it shouldn’t have… it was kind of cute, really, although, his eyes had lost that icy blue spark.
"So I took the basket back to clean up... nothing wrong with that... meant you didn’t have to," she said, glancing over at him and melting almost as soon as she saw the hurt puppy look. She turned on her own look, adding in that perfect pout and blinking those big green eyes.
“Oh aaah, Rahne, don’t do that!” Bobby demanded, that spark starting to return, his eyes locking with hers, as the small grin began to spread across his face.
She turned it up more, adding in the quiver to her bottom lip, turning her head down to look up at him through her dark lashes.
“Oh man,” Iceman said, trying to resist… oh yeah, he was trying to resist, but, to no avail, crossing the distance between them, leaning down, and kissing her hard, “You’re evil,” he whispered, against her lips.
She smirked as he crossed the room to her, gasping softly into the intensity of the kiss. Her response to his words was a low growl in her chest, her fingers up in his hair.
Seconds, or was it minutes, later, Bobby once again broke the kiss, and asked, once again against her lips and looking all innocent-like, “So, am I forgiven?”
Rahne whimpered softly as he moved away. He was a drug and she could not get enough of it. The ability to hold back from taking that next step was getting harder, the animalistic part of her wanting to break free and claim him. "Uh huh..." she murmured, shakily.
“Whoa, are you shaking, what the? Rahne, what’s wrong?” Bobby asked, suddenly all worried.
"Nothing’s wrong...you just... take my breath away when you do that..." she whispered, softly.
“Yes, well, when you blink your eyes like you just did, I nearly faint,” Bobby was happy to inform her, “I mean, it should be obvious what effect you have on me, I just… I must have a way of cooling myself down pretty quick,” oh man, the effort it took to say all that with a straight face was killing him!
"I notice the difference even when I’m not looking at you," she told him, biting her lower lip, her eyes locked on his for a moment.
Bobby nodded, “Yeah, I bet,” then he poked her pointedly, yet gently at the same time, “Seeeeee, that should prove to you that that list before was just general, not set,” he confirmed.
"I know... just being stupid I guess," Rahne said, squirming away from his hands.
“Oh no you don’t, get back here!” her boyfriend demanded, reaching to enwrap her in his arms and pull her close.
The redhead laughed and allowed him to slip his arms around her tightly, her own arms wrapping up around his neck, her fingers curling into his hair, and Bobby’s next words were whispered in her ear, “I think I could stay like this forever.”
Rahne smiled softly, nodded as she let her eyes close, her head resting on his chest.
Summary: Iceman finds out what he said to hurt Wolfsbane, and, in their own unique way, the two sort it out.

Re: An Ice Wolf PicnicWho: Emma Frost With: Logan, Gambit, Mana, Xavier, Warren, Storm, Jean, & Scott When: Afternoon, After 3:00PM, Sunday, May 14th, 2005 Where: War Room Emma watched in veiled astonishment as Logan made a sudden U-Turn and barked out the team that would be heading off on the Mission. She turned to survey the others calmly before speaking.
"I make no apologies for the lack of information, as I truly don't have much. But if anyone feels that they would rather not come on this mission, then now is the time to back out" she told them firmly, she would not want to be a part of this mission if the rest of the team were unwilling. Glancing again at the group, she turned her attention to Charles as he spoke.
"Emma," he said as he prepared to leave the War Room to do as Logan requested... demanded, "If you'd be so kind, would you take a few of the adults with you and assemble the children and other residents in the auditorium. It would appear that we have some new charges who feel it necessary to put on a "powers show" while we have news reporters right outside our front gates.
"Of course Charles. Right away" she said as she stood, collecting up the last of the files and tucking them under her arm as she turned to face the other X-Men. "Mana, will you and perhaps Jean and Scott come with me to help get the students back on the leash, please. And anyone else who wishes to aid us will be most welcome" she said with a pointed look, as she headed out of the War Room, all business.
Once in a more populated area of the Mansion, she sent a slight warning into the minds of everyone she could reach before sending out a telepathic message
"All students, faculty and other residents please report IMMEDIATELY to the auditorium."
Emma consolidated this by hurrying anyone she found towards the auditorium, as she made her own way there, picking up the current lists of residents from the office. Tags: Everyone on campus.
Re: An Ice Wolf PicnicWho: Iceman & Wolfsbane When: Afternoon, After 3PM, Sunday, March 6th, 2005 Where: Wolfsbane’s Room OOC: JP between Mana (Iceman) & Thena (Wolfsbane). Except for the very end where movement of Rahne was done by Mana, due to Thena having to leave. Warning: Contains language that may offend some
Quote:"All students, faculty and other residents please report IMMEDIATELY to the auditorium."
That telepathic message was enough to wake even the most sound of sleeping person, and considering Iceman was right now about to wake up… caught between that half conscious state of still being asleep, but also wanting to open his eyes… Emma’s words broke through his mind in a way that literally made him sit up dead straight beside Rahne and gasp, “Whoa, like, [/b]!” he cried, frowning a little.
Rahne jolted awake as Bobby sat up suddenly, and being so close to the edge of the bed, she fell off. "Ow... bugger... what the hell?" she asked, as she held her head in her hands.
“Oh, I swear that Miss Frost is nothing like the Professor,” Bobby started, “First of all, we would get a gentle warning a telepathic message is coming, not this sudden foreign, yet known, blasted voice in our heads!” he finished, clear by his tone that he was not the least bit happy.
"Bloody bullhorn in the middle of the night... I would love to give her a whatnot at times.... god I hate that woman.... why can’t we have a giant kid with a magnifying glass and the sun and, her with a chain in her chest anchoring her to the ground..." the Scottish girl ranted as she sat on the floor.
Frowning, Iceman climbed over the bed to kneel down beside her, “Ah, Rahne, as tempting as such a thing sounds, no kid would get anywhere near her to do such a thing, she’s way to powerful,” and, again, Bobby was not the least bit happy about that fact.
"Sorry... she’s just not on the top of my fave people list most of the time..." she said, as she looked at him.
Reaching over, Bobby caressed her cheek, “Yeah, I don’t think the woman’s on the top of anyone’s fave people list… at least, I highly doubt it,” he said, grinning from ear to ear, “Now, let’s get freshened up and get going.”
Nodding, Rahne climbed back to her feet, aided by her boyfriend, of course, and the two of them headed to the adjacent ensuite to wash away the feeling of not only having been asleep for the past couple hours, but having been woken up rather abruptly from that sleep too.
Summary: Emma’s telepathic message wakes up both Rahne and Iceman, and, after ranting for abit, the two get ready to head off.

Background: Many, many years ago, Charles Francis Xavier established Xavier's School for the Gifted. Also, seeing other Mutants misusing and abusing their powers, he created the first generation of the X-Men.This original team was trained and lead by an old friend of his...Logan, aka Wolverine. Logan's co-leader was a young woman and student named Ororo Munroe, aka Storm. Once the team was trained and fielded on active missions, they took on the additional responsibility of teaching and helping new Mutants deal with their powers. On one horrible night, the X-Men were fielded to stop a particularly powerful Mutant and his 'gang'. The 'intelligence' received on this Mutant and his cohorts was sketchy and actually turned out to be a set-up to entrap the X-Men and take them captive. In the ensuing melee', 'things' happened and a number of the team were killed outright or severely injured. After making sure his remaining team-mates were going to be okay, Logan left. Xavier has not, to current time, explained his absence or even whether or not he survived.Current Time/Game Time: Almost seven years later, as Human/Mutant incidents are on the rise, Xavier once again sees a need for a Mutant 'police force'. He sees this new X-Men team as a force for good and a way to help peacefully integrate the rapidly emerging Mutant society with the established Human society. To this end, he has contacted Logan and asked him to 'come home' and train his 'new' team.
Logan has reluctantly agreed. Can shadows from their past be put aside for the good of the new X-Men? How will the surviving members of the original team react and what will they do as 'truths' are learned about that disastrous night?Note: We want the new X-Men to include younger versions of the old familiar characters such as Scott, Jean, Beast etc...as well as many of the OCC’s and other Canon characters that are available. Please ask the Staff BEFORE stating or establishing that your character was one of the old, now disbanded, original X-Men.
