Anchor Bay update
Coming December 5 from Anchor Bay is writer/director Gerald Nott’s THE QUICK AND THE UNDEAD, a horror/Western about a bounty hunter tracking zombies in a postapocalyptic future. The movie will be presented in 2.35:1 widescreen and come with a making-of featurette, deleted scenes, outtakes and a trailer; retail price is $26.98. January 2 sees the release of THE DARKROOM, the latest from the HOUSE OF THE DEAD II/ROOM 6 team of Michael Hurst (writer/director) and Mark A. Altman (writer/producer). This one stars XENA’s Lucy Lawless and ALIAS’ Greg Grunberg in the story of a boy who believes his stepfather is evil, and a man who has escaped from a mental hospital who helps him discover just how bad his stepdad is. This disc will include commentary by Hurst and Altman and the THE DARKROOM Exposed featurette; retail price is $19.98. Finally, preceding all of these is a late addition to the Bay’s November lineup, the Sci Fi Channel flick RAPTOR ISLAND; Stanley Isaacs’ dino-amok opus, starring Lorenzo Lamas and Steven Bauer, will have no significant extras and retails for $26.98.
