I am presently not really looking for a game, since I am already terribly busy, but as an example how something like this should
look I decided to do a little post here.
Roleplaying experience:
I have been roleplaying on various message boards and in email groups for years now. I started out with Star Wars roleplays and soon also tried LOTR. By now I have played all kinds of genres, mostly fantasy, but also historical games and games based on 20th century stories.
I play both canons characters and original characters, and love them both. The only rule that I can give about my character choice is that they have to be interesting in some way, but I don't like overly powerful characters. I have played (now listing Star Wars and LOTR character, since those are the most widely known). Han Solo, Corran Horn, Wedge Antilles, Legolas, Aragorn, Faramir, Haldir, Eomer, Elrohir, Cirdan...
I have tried playing Hobbits, but that was a complete failure, Dwarves are not as bad, but I can't play them very well either.
Once in a while I try my hand as a villain, and am presently having much fun with a ruthless pirate captain.
In the games I like to dig deep and go into the emotions and thoughts of a character. The feel is very important, with the character staying true to himself, as is the logical flow of the story.
