Anyone else heard about this MichAl rumor?
Apparently the writers were issued an order from tptb that it didnt matter how they did it but by Valentine's Day NM should be Al, not MichAl.
I personally have liked the storyline, though i dont think they have given it enuf airtime. I also could not be more thrilled w/ the McBain bros. interaction. Killing off Michael would effectively end that and all the possible storyline connections and ties to keep NM on the air. If they make him Al again that be confusing for viewers and also put them in the position to write Al and Marcie into the same corner again. IMO, they should find a way to merge the two if anything. But dont take away the McBain connection i love it too much!
i would love 2 know how these 2 actors feel about working w/ each other. If they feel like it is clicking for them.
No, I hadn't heard that rumor. But I sincerely hope that it's only a rumor. IMO, it would be stupid move to make the character just Al on Valentine's Day. Why do the whole MichAl thing to begin with if only to give us Al in the end, just doesn't make sense.
I completely agree with you MsT, I loved the interaction of the McBain bros. I think that NM and ME make an incredible duo and you're right if they have NM play just Al again then it would get rid of any ties these two have on the show.
and nevermind what this would do to our girl Marcie. Get her to fall for another guy only to give her Al back. I don't like the sound of that, not one bit. Marcie deserves a lot more than that.

Natalie: "Al, when are you gonna realize that love isn't supposed to be this hard? When it's meant to be, it just happens."
Al: "Oh, whatever, in what fairy tale?"
I hope it is true
As much as I love NM and ME's interaction, it would make a whole lot more sense to bring AL back. Wake him up out of a coma or something. The writers can find another way to keep NM and ME tied together. Maybe as his bestfriend's brother in law. So I hope tptb have ordered the writers to switch the story around.

I think Al would be forever changed either way
I know the McBain connection is cool, and considering they are casting Eve, it seems odd to just turn him back into Al. I don't think Al could just pick up where he left off, being the Voice. Its all something I think we had to let go of when Al died. Whatever TPTB decide to do, it will probably be unexpected or something we wouldn't guess, and the one good thing about a supernatural storyline is that there are no boundaries so we get to enjoy the unexpected. Its not the best supernatural storyline, the cheesyness, but there are perks.
I really feel
that some of us (fans)should write for the show.
Because some of the fanfic I've read has been so good. And with the fanfic Al could start from where he left.
But as long as Nathaniel stays I'm fine. But I have to say that I want my Al back.
I want Al back too
Based on how this storyline began, I don't think it was ever intended for Al's soul to remain in Michael's body.
Technically, Michael's not dead. His soul is still there so what would be the purpose for Al's soul to remain there once his mission is completed?
I don't think the writers were counting on the interaction between Nathaniel and Michael Easton being a hit with the fans. So now comes the question as to how they can continue the interaction once this storyline wraps up. One way they could do it is by developing a friendship between Natalie and Marcie. We've seen them interact in the past, and I definitely see some potential there and that would be one connection between Al and John.
I really don't care how they do it, but I want Al back in his own body and hopefully TPTB will find a way to keep the chemistry going between Nathaniel and Michael E.
I think the easiest way
to get the McBain interaction still a viable option after Al returns is for someone to find out that they are cousins. The McBains and the Holdens. That ties Al to John and Michael and then you can cultivate the friendship iwth Marcie and Natalie and that opens up another realm for the two of them with Natalie's family. So the ties are still there...we're just missing a few key pieces.
Tina
I like that idea, Tina
Making the Holdens and McBains cousins could certainly work. and if they were to give us Al back it would give him family in town with his parents gone ( ).
Honestly I'm at the point where I don't care whether we get Al back, or we keep Michael, or there's some mix of the two. I can find reasons for liking any of those scenarios. As long as Nathaniel is playing one of those characters, that character is with Kathy's Marcie and there's still some type of connection between NM and ME then it's all good in my eyes. I'm just gonna sit back and wait for V-day and see what TPTB through our way. Whatever happens we're certainly not losing NM any time soon so
