Best CD Ever
Hey, I'm new here. Yeah, Ænima, in my opinion, is the best Tool album. The sound is so awesome, I love every song except the fillers. It's just so good. Between Stinkfist, Eulogy, Forty-six and Two, Jimmy, Pushit and Third Eye oh my god.. it's like going on a journey, listening to the album from stat to finish. So is Lateralus, but I think Ænima is a darker, more frightening journey. Does anyone else Ænima is the best?

undertow was too trying to get as far as they can go. aenima was when they reached their peak. now, with lateralus, their over the hill. i just they get back up again
it seems the lateralus songs are too predictable;they all seem to eventually have that certain guitar riff sound and you pretty much know what you're getting.
with aenima, you have no idea what's going to happen next; eulogy is a constant journey of all these tunes shoved into your face at evey turn, and when you're just getting ued to the tune, it changes. which happens in a lot of aenima songs.
Re: predictable??
i dunno man, the interdependent layers in the "let go" part of the grudge ... a five-beat drum rhythm over a six-beat bass rhythm in the middle of lateralis ... a thirteen-beat non-vocal chorus in schism .... lateralus seems like more science than i ever learned in school, imho.
