Awful decision. I guess in the future of EZBoards, we'll all just have to have generic cookie cutter boards. That's too bad--individualization made the system cool.
I just want to say thanks to all the staff and members who've posted great tips and answered calls for help in the past. You folks rock!!!

I'll still be providing script help & requests, but at an unofficial help board I dont want to spam CT&T with the link unless I'm allowed to
Maybe Te1 would like to mod there too...
Does that mean Don will be maning the bezboard or bugbase now?

People are quite strongly voicing their oppinions so maybe this place will stay open if they can get the powers that be to change their minds...

It's understandable that folks are upset by the decision. One of the best parts of the system are the CT&T's. Everyone wants their board to be a little different from the next one, and to be able to add in these little goodies is a bonus.
I'm sure there are folks who have their favorite tips and tricks saved already, but for the new board owners, this place is a gold mine of fun!

I'll seriously consider it Chris, but I'm not even sure if I wish to stay on ezboard at this point, they seem to feel that they no longer need customers, so why not oblige them?

Thank you for your comments Joe. You'll still be able to use all the same customizations that you've currently used and enjoyed. Most of those customziations are user written and not part of the ezboard product. Users will still be able to help you with those items too - some of the volunteers who have happily helped here through the years will probably be creating a place to share and help, just as they did here. It just won't be moderated by an ezboard employee any longer.

Mish, thanks for the update. I read on the Supporter help board that the current CT&T will stay as read only. That's cool, at least there's access to them. When I read the original closure message, I was under the impression that everything was going to get wiped out completely.

Upcoming changes to the ezboard Help Communities
The board and management have been considering ways of improving our performance. We've concluded that our users and the company will be better served by more investment of staff and resources in development of our products.
As a result, we will be making some changes in Customer Service that will free up resources for development while maintaining strong customer support. Our plan is to rationalize and focus our CS resources on the core needs of users.
Specifically, we plan to close the following ezboard help communities and forums at the end of business on Friday, 12/16.05:
· Cool Tips and Tricks (converted to read-only archive)
· Community Center (Brain Archive and Theme/Profile Trading forums converted to read-only archives)
· Public Community Showcase
· International Help Forums (converted to read-only archive)
· The Bug Reports Under Investigation forum at the Bugs Base (relevant topics will be summarized and moved into the Known Bugs forum)
Again we emphasize that the core work of CS -- accounts, subscriber support, payments, bugs, and legal -- will continue to be our major priority. We expect no change in the level of service you have been receiving in these areas. Our goal is to maintain a strong support function and enhance development activities, both of which will ultimately improve your user experience.
