Cold & rainy days suck
We've had this type of crappy weather all week now and it sucks big time. The week before we had a couple of days like this too then it got sunny and warm for like 3-4 days and then back to this crap. And honestly I don't think the outlook is too good for this coming week either. I know it could be much worse than some rainy cold weather but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I didn't even have baseball to cheer me up either cause since my boys were at home they couldn't play in all the rain. They had a rain shortened game on Friday and two rain-outs over the weekend. I think it was just affected us up here in New England too cause I saw highlights from games that were played in NYC and the sun was out. Usually the weather there is similar to the weather up here but this time it wasn't. oh well, I think my guys are on the road tomorrow so they should be able to play.
I hear ya Jen. It has been raining here for a week. It is suppose to break a little tomorrow, no rain but overcast. It really bites. I just want to stay in bed and watch some DVD's or read.
Speaking of DVD's my sister has lent me some of here Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD's...now I am hooked. Anyone else ever watched it LOL.
Re: Cold & rainy days suck
the weather here of late has been quite a bit better, however it's raining right now. the weather yesterday was absolutely BEAUTIFUL though. it was sunny with an almost completely blue sky and temps in the 70s.

LOL, I actually did watch Buffy when it was on. Not from the beginning though, I think my sister got me into it. I watched Angel too which was a spin-off of Buffy. But I watch a lot of things so that's not much of a stretch. LOL Any other shows that anyone wants to talk about I'm more than open. Some of my faves right now include Lost, Survivor, Grey's Anatomy, My Name is Earl, Supernatural.
Re: Cold & rainy days suck
I am such a buffyaholic right now. I just started season 4. I think I may have to rent the first season of Angel cuz it sounds like there were some Buffy/Angel crossovers. It is such a fun show...my sister says SEEEEE I told you that you'd like it. She likes to rub it in, but's she's usually right. This has also happend with Harry Potter and Firefly (I know I'm a totally dork LOL)

I don't watch any of those (though the sis says I should watch Lost) I have thought about watching Grey's Anatomy but I always forget to watch it LOL. The only shows I have been faithfully watching are House and 24.
Re: Cold & rainy days suck
Remind me, what was going on in season 4? Do you have a fave character? I have to say that my fave Buffy character has got to be Spike. He was just hilarious. He actually went to Angel after Buffy ended and the interaction between him and Angel was just priceless. I don't know if you've seen this episode yet since I don't remember what season it was from but one of my fave episodes was a Hallween episode. It involved some type of Halloween party. One part that I liked about the episode was involving the character of Anya who was adjusting to life as a human and they told her to dress up as something scary for Halloween. But what she considered to be scary were bunnies so she dressed up as a bunny. There's another part of the episode that I liked but I won't give that away in case you haven't seen it yet.
I think there was more cross-overs between Buffy/Angel at first cause they were on the same network but they Buffy got moved to UPN.
I would definitely recommend Lost. I love, love, love that show. Some crazy ass happens to the people on that island. You honestly never know what's gonna happen next. And it's one of those shows where you don't want to miss a minute cause you might miss something real big. I would suggest though that if you were to start watching it that you'd watch the first two seasons first. Otherwise you might be completely lost, lol. the first season is already on on dvd and it probably won't be too long before the second one is.
Grey's Anatomy is also something that I'd highly recommend. They got a huge boost in the ratings with their post Superbowl episode this year. It involved a guy who shot himself with a bazooka and still had live ammo inside of him. The EMT stuck her hand inside to stop the bleeding but when they found about the live ammo they realized that her hand could be serving a second purpose, keeping the ammo from exploding. That episode was INCREDIBLE. Grey's might be a little easier to get into than Lost would be too.
I don't watch House or 24 unfortunately. I've seen bits and pieces of House but never a whole episode.
Season 4 has The Intitive (sp?) and the pyscho Professor building Adam (he was pretty freaky). Spike gets the chip in his head so he can't attack humans without pain. Oz leaves Then comes back to find out Willow is gay Then leaves again I really miss the Ozster. He was great! In fact I am into season 5 and Xander made a joke...no one laughed and he said...I miss Oz...I was like Me too Xander LOL.

I am right there with you on Spike. He cracks me up. Now I am into season 5 and he is stalking Buffy cuz he loves her and she is so repulsed LOL...it is fun. I loved Oz but he is gone Xander cracks me up too. The eppy when there was two of them and he did the Snoopy dance hehehe. Oh heck I like just about everybody LOL

that was a great eppy. gotta love Anya. she gets on my nerves sometimes but she is funny LOL. What was the other part you really liked about it Jen?
I am now at the part of Season 5 where Buffy's mom dies....it is so sad.
I don't know if I am going to try to catch up with Lost but I have strongly considered Grey's Anatomy. In fact I have thought about catching it several times but them I always forget it is on. I should rent the first season on DVD and see how I like it.
House is awesome. I just love his sense of humor. I so dig the sarcasim LOL. I missed the last couple seasons of 24 but am glad I got back into this year. It is awesome!
Re: Cold & rainy days suck
that what I was thinking that season 4 was. OMG, Adam was super creepy. I thought the whole stuff with Spike with the chip in his head was pretty funny, especially at first. I'm remembering him trying to attack someone (Willow or Buffy, I think) and he just couldn't bite them. Then of course he finds out that he can fight demons which leads him down the path of becoming a "good" vamp like Angel.
I don't think I saw too much of Oz cause I didn't watch from the beginning but what I did see, I liked. yeah, Anya was a little annoying sometimes but it was funny seeing her getting used to being a human.
the other part of that episode that I liked was the demon that they had. they saw the picture in the book and thought it was gonna be huge and then they saw it and it was tiny and they just stepped on it. then they looked back at the book and it said Actual Size. LOL that it just one of the episodes that sticks out in my mind when I remember the show.

I'm sure that wasn't the only time that happened to Xander. LOL
oh yeah, Buffy's mom dying was soo sad. If you've seen that then I'm assuming that you know about Dawn. what was your reaction when they first showed her?
you should definitely try to check out Grey's. My mom didn't start watching til it was already into this past season and she's hooked now. Since it takes place in a hospital most of the day to day stuff involves the different patients that they have which for the most part change from episode to episode so that's not too hard to keep with. and all the personal stuff with all the Docs is pretty easy to grasp, in my opinion anyways.
we'll see if I try to catch either House or 24 next season. I usually don't watch shows if I didn't watch from day 1 (with a couple of exceptions, of course ). did you hear about the plans for a 24 movie?
