Dallas Stars and hockey...
Well, guess I should just go ahead and tell ya now, b/c you're gonna find out anyway -- I'm a HUGE hockey fan - and an even bigger fan of the Dallas Stars - Mike Modano, Derian Hatcher, etc -- (used to include Joe Nieuwendyk and Jamie Langenbrunner in that list, but they play for New Jersey now - stll love 'em to death - but they're on a diff team now) -
I have been to a Stars game - St. Patrick's Day 1999 - they played the Washington Capitals (game was in DC), and unfortunately, they lost - but that's okay, b/c that's the year they won the Stanley Cup! WOOOHOOO!!
I've also been to 2 NY Rangers games (both 'away' games for NYR) - one in Greensboro, NC - against the Carolina Hurricanes, and one in DC - against the Caps - Wayne Gretzky played in both games, and the NYR won both games! (Was one of my goals - to see Gretzky play before he retired) - the NYR - CAR game was a week before thanksgiving in 1997, and the NYR - CAPS game was on Jan 26, 1999 (yep, Wayne's b-day). And, as many of you might know, Wayne Gretzky retired in 1999 -- so, it was totally cool to see him play! And he really is as good as they say!
So - anyone else? What are your interests - they don't have to be Hockey related -- just - what do you like??
I like hockey, but I only watch it on TV. I've been raised a Boston's Bruins fan. I'm not old enough to remember when they actually won Cups. I was one of those people that got all excited about Ray Borque bringing the Cup to Boston after he finally got to lift it as an Avalanche. The nice thing about getting into Profiler, the VCTF, and John Grant is that they're based in Atlanta. As bad as Boston is they're not as bad as the Atlanta Thrashers. And, I don't have to worry about offending John saying that. He grew up in Boston.
