Daylight Saving Time starts, March 9, 2008
In the United States, Daylight Saving Time starts at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2008.

ezboard does not automatically correct your board's time. You will need to adjust your board's time just as you would adjust clocks in your home. This adjustment can be made by clicking the "General Settings" button on the My Community page in your Control Center.

If you are in the Eastern time zone: Adjust your board time to time zone -4.

If you are in the Central time zone: Adjust your board time to time zone -5.

If you are in the Mountain time zone: Adjust your board time to time zone -6.

If you are in the Pacific time zone: Adjust your board time to time zone -7.

If you are wondering why ezboard does not automatically adjust your board's time, here is some information from ezboard user, Master Creations:

Here's the deal about Daylight Saving (or Summer) Time.

First and foremost, not everyone in the world observes the time adjustment for the longer days. In fact, if you put it in perspective, there really aren't that many that do. Because of this, ezboard does not adjust their own servers' clocks.

Second, in and of itself, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is a standard. That time is always the same, regardless of what time of the year it is. As a result, when the Pacific Coast was at 01:59 (1:59am) PST, GMT was at 09:59 (eight hours ahead, as normal). One minute later, GMT posted 10:00, yet Pacific Time posted 03:00 (moving the offset up one to -7). Many governments and military operations use GMT as the recorded time (GMT is also known as "Zulu") because it is standard and never changes.

For this reason, when other areas do observe the Summer adjustment, all they really do is adjust the GMT Offset (for Eastern Standard Time, the offset is -5; adjusting for DST makes the Eastern offset -4 (four hours behind GMT).

Finally, of those areas that do observe Summer Time adjustments, not all areas do so at the same time. Example : Most of Europe (especially the western portion) made their adjustment the weekend before the United States. Others make theirs at different times, and still others do not at all.

Bottom line is:
(a) GMT is a standard
(b) Not everyone is affected by time adjustments
(c) Those that are, do so at different times
(d) ezBoard requires that the board admins make the time adjustments.
