Differences in the breeds of lovebirds I am planning on getting two Fischer's lovebirds, but I've read that they're less affectionate and social than Peachfaced ones. Is this true? If it is, then I may consider getting Peachfaced ones. I've also read that a male lovebird's nostrils would have a blue or pinkish color, while a female lovebird would have a white or brown nostril. Is this accurate? |

Re: Differences in the breeds of lovebirds
The only way to sex love birds acuratly is with DNA testng the cere colors you were asking about is for Budgies not lovebirds. Sorry.
If you get 2 love birds of any species they will bond with eachother and not you it doesnt matter what kind. They are a very social bird but will take bird company over human company any day, If you want a friendly bird get one hand fed baby lovie and you'll havea good friend. Christa |
