Do's and Dont's of asking for help
Please...
DO be specific in your subject line. This is a help forum, so subject lines like "HELP!!!" or "I have a question" are not useful. Obviously you need help or you wouldn't be here! Also, if everyone used descriptive subject lines, it would be easier to search to see if your question has already been asked and answered. 
DO read the FAQ's forum first.
DO Leave a link to the board that is giving you problems. If it's a specific forum or topic that has the problems, leave a link to that specific topic. Please make sure your link works by clicking it in preview mode. Even if you have received help previously, please continue to give us a link to your board. With so many people asking for help, we can't always remember which board belongs with which user.
DON'T advertise your board. This is not a place for promoting your board. Advertisements posted on the help boards will be deleted.
DO Leave a space between the end of your boards url and any punctuation, such as a period, comma or parenthis. This system will recognize these marks as part of the url and your link won't work.
DO use the correct forum.
This ezsupporter forum is for ezsupporters only. You can get help with your account or your board there if you are an ezsupporter.
If you are nonSupporter you can get board and account help in the Non-Supporter Administration and User Help
The Server Status Reporting forum is the best place to start when trying to find out about slowness on a server or to report a down/slow server.
Please open a payments ticket for help with payment problems for ezsupporter or gold community payments.
Any bugs should be reported at Bug Base.
If you are getting a Request Error page (white page with a bunch of strange text) please post the url of where you get the error message and the message itself in the Report Request Errors forum.
If you cannot log in to post at your question at this board, of if you cannot use your account at all, please open an accounts ticket.
DON'T swear, scream, or type in all capitals. You really will get faster and better help if you keep calm and be polite.
DON'T post duplicate topics in more than one forum, it only confuses the people trying to help you. (unless you are directed to post in another forum, for example you may be referred to Bug Reports forum if the mods at the main help board get stumped)
DON'T post your problem as a reply to an existing topic UNLESS it is the SAME problem. Otherwise, start a new topic for your problem. Posting your problem in an unrelated topic will cause confusion. You may start a new topic for your problem and link to the existing topic, if you are concerned about being overlooked in the existing topic. This would also keep the other user's topic from being bumped and delaying their answer.
DON'T reply to your own topic for the purpose of bumping it up to the top. We work from the bottom up, so you are only delaying getting a reply. Please be patient. We answer topics as quickly as we can, but we do not have 24 hour live coverage.
PLEASE DON'T use the help forums to make speeches or rants, it takes away attention from users trying to get questions answered.
DON'T leave links to boards that have warez or other illegal content. To report any violations of the terms of use please use the legal form email. Also, do NOT notify the offending board that they were reported. They might delete the evidence.
DON'T post security bugs or loopholes you found on the help board. Please use this form to report security bugs or private bugs you would prefer not to post in the bugs forums:
