EQ School
Really, I think there should be one.

/climbs on her soap box

Sometimes, I feel so lost (and literally, I am so bad with map directions when there ain't a map in-game! And these outside EQ maps are terrible.).

So much to read and learn and take notes, there may as well be a school on how to be in EQ. hmmm... make that night school!

Maybe I should have put this under Trade, Sales or Donations to WTB a new brain or memory upgrades. Certainly could use both! /laughs

LMAO me to sister, i ask "where we meeting" i get an answer, wait ten seconds and then have to ask for directions. lol, i used to have a really good bud in game that knew this and would send me a private tell with directions so i didn't have to look like a fool in guild chat lol.

Aye, I hear that! I know my way around the old expansions, and can navigate enough to not get myself killed (usually) but that's about it! If I didn't have Cin or Sburk or someone telling me what zones connect to what, I'd be lost! No wonder I made a druid, it all makes sense now.... :lol

Re: EQ School
And I spent hours downloading maps only to find that in the game, the maps are still blank and clueless like me.

So I go back to mapRus whatever and with directions from a chat, UPLOAD maps and see if this works. Try one. Go back to EQ, Click on the Atlas, find the area, clicky on that... and viola! Blank map!

Sooooo annoying.

And shamans hit like little human girlies. Crappy gear too. oh, sorry... off-topic.

Where's the chocolate?

Re: EQ School
Wow, I find the outside maps to be so great and clear.

the bad maps are those with many levels to the zone that run on top of one another like The Hole or Kedge Keep.

There are Very Few zones with no maps these days.

Re: EQ School
Morro,

I beg you PLEASE, pretty please what maps do you use? Please! I am referring to the ones in-game. Not a print out version.

Like I need to go to Stillmoon Temple and I have no maps of the territories to get there except for Lavastorm.

And places like Grieg's End, Kedge Keep and POV, PON, EJ .....

Maybe I am not loading the maps correctly. I don't know.

Re: EQ School
try here ladies. map stuff I love the maps from mapfiend. i had issues gettin them in the folder correctly so i just deleted all my maps in my sony map folder and then extracted the zip from mapfiend directly to the sony folder. Good luck.

/e dumps 8 pounds of chocolate out just in case.

Re: EQ School
Thank you, Perone.

I haven't tried Mapfiend yet, other than to set up a login. One thing that is annoying is that most posts in various forums mentioned that "the next expansion" will have all the maps and this was never the case.

I have done the add a line, but that is so tedious when I don't have a clue where I am and where any spots are, zone lines and so on.

I have Mappie but don't know how to use that in-game.

and there better be some dark chocolate in that pile.

Re: EQ School - Maps
well....well....well....

I followed the directions (again), saved the map files to the dekstop, unzipped files to my EQ directory/maps, logged into EQ and now have maps.

I did not delete existing files, did a replace. I may go back and move the ones with layer 3 files somewhere as the grid lines are a bit much.

So it works.

next school subject......!

Re: EQ School - Maps
They take their chocolate very seriously. Almost a form of worship. My kinda company!! I would certainly change my alchemy studies from herbs to cacoa and lvl in that!!
10 dose of SOC - Savored of Chocolate
5 Dose of FOE - Finest on Earth
Dagoba Stone - transport to nearest chocolate factory

O yeah... I can lvl in this kind of alchemy.

There are some good recipes on their website. Will have to try those with some substitutions, of course.

and the prices are .... wow...... Well, another item to add to my Lottery Winnings list of things to get.

Yea one bar is two bucks, but it's my treat to myself, and I can make one bar last two weeks, hehe! My sister says there is one with rosepetals in it, that I'd love to try as well!
