Ephesians 2:4-7
But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved; )
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:4-7
How much God loves us is so evident in the scripture....He is not some faraway God that is hard to get to- we are raised up together and seated together with Christ!! At that moment of salvation, God quickened our mortal body with Christ-and we were transformed into His image (of course the process is a daily one, from glory to glory) I looked up the word quickened in the Greek and it means to "reanimate conjointly with"- Webster's says that reanimate means to "give life to -ANEW- and conjointly means to join together or unite- So, we have been given life anew,joined together with Christ! Hallelujah! That is so awesome! God is so good!
Because of His rich grace towards us, we are one with Christ and seated in heavenly places! Lord, help me to get it- that I am one with Christ Jesus- being one with Him truly means that all He has is mine! Praise God! Abundance, favor, love, the fruit of the spirit....the list goes on and on- how wonderful it is to be united with Jesus! God, I praise you for this day-I rejoice in it!
