FETUS new from Morbid Vision Films
While waiting to start Bone Sickness 2, I decided to shoot another movie. FETUS. The story involves a man who is expecting his first born child. But something goes terribly wrong and the pregnacy kills his baby and his wife. Now he is left alone and can not cope with his lose and will do anything to bring his wife back.
There are some pics and production notes on my website www.morbidvisionfilms.com.../fetus.htm This went from being a short splatter/punk style movie, but has turned into a full length Japanese Guinea Pig style film. It has become the sickest movie I have ever made filled with gore, brutality and deformed embryo's. It's been fun to see how far we can push this one. The finale will be one of the most fucked up scenes I have ever done that centers around an instrument called the Infant Device that contacts and gives birth to the dead. It's been an interesting shoot and I hope to share it with everyone sometime in the spring of 2006.

With all these lousy remakes its nice to see more original ideas.

Also the story hits home a little..I would do ANYTHING to have just five minutes with my Fiance..I would joke with her years ago that if she died I would slaughter hundreds of people to bring her back to life like an episode of Friday the 13Th the series and she shot back with "yeah,,but then I would probably come back an evil zombie that would rip your guts out"..touche'

Thanks guys. Actually dmattero, it's not supposed to be corpsepaint. I had a feeling that it would look like it is though. It's not as noticable in the actual movie as it is in the stills. In the movie it just makes their faces look fucked up as they butcher the wife in a surreal scene that expresses the anger the husband feels towards the doctors that he feels let his wife die.
I hope the subject matter isn't too close to home for you. I apologize if it is. On that same line I can't help but wonder if this story line has anything to do with why Rich hasn't shown up once to help make this movie since he just had a baby. I doubt it, but can't help but wonder....

Very Nice Brian. We have enough zombie films,but Fetus looks quite interesting.

No need to apologize..Im a horror fan and the biggest theme in Horror is death(plus you had this idea before Dora died). Dora used to make these distorted death faces to joke around with me all the time(and when she really was dead I joked with her that she didn't look anything like those faces she made). Enough being Morbid(no pun intended), you know Ill check it out.

I've been entertained by all of the Morbid Vision films so far (though I haven't seen "Kill Me Slowly"), so I'll definitely check out "Fetus" when it's ready. Looks great.
Brian, do you plan to self-release "Fetus" or pass it over to a distributor?
Also, regarding "Bone Sickness 2", that would be awesome if you upgrade to shooting on 16mm film.

I'm working on the effects for the finale now and there is quite a few of them. And I finally figured out the best way to end this movie and hopefully it will make some jaws drop.

Thanks FromAshesRise for the kind words! I missed your reply until now somehow. My plan was to self distribute. But Unearthed Films is interested now so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I want them to release it, but I also want people to be able to see the movie right away after it's finished, not have to wait 6-12 months. As far as Bone Sickness 2, I would love to shoot it on film! But that doesn't seem to be possible at the moment. We are actually looking into 24dp cameras. It does not look like we will be shooting Sickness 2 on minidv.

I've run out of foam latex! aaarrrgghhh! Gotta place an order tonight. I think this is the 1st time I've run out in the middle of shooting. Luckily some money just came through. Sucks owning a house and being broke all the time.
