I really like the real people better. But I know lots of people like the sim looking kind. I was thinking about who people think makes good faces and here is my take on it:

I prefer simmies to look like simmies.
Those are all great creators, Binkie. I also love Lyran's, Holly's, and Patricia's. I know I'm forgetting some people, because I have a horrible memory...

I like a bit of a combo. LIke, for example, the new (?) face maker at SimFreaks...Foxgirl or something...looks like she took photos but edited them to look more sim-ish. That way, they look good, but don't stick out a ton in the game. She did one Asian face that is honestly the most beautiful sim face I've ever seen.

I like faces that are Sims-like, but also have some personality and individuality to them. Before I started downloading interesting heads, a lot of my Sims looked too alike, and I had to keep them in distinctive outfits so I could tell them apart.
My favourite heads are from SimSisters and Barairo no Jinsei.

I like Sim faces. Oh I agree with you Wexworth, Sim Freaks' latest designer Foxgirl, or something like that, does incredible faces! I also love Gela's!

I also voted for faces that looked like Sims, however, I do like well done heads that look human too. There are some very beautiful "human-like" heads out there, but sometimes the skin tone doesn't quite line up. This can be a little odd because it makes the head look a little out of place with the body. But other than that, I think they're all fantastic!

For me it doesn't really matter unless the eyes are too huge. I've seen a few faces where the eyes were so wide and stretched out looking, it just didn't do it for me.

I'm agree with Gela (Love your site ) I make my faces mostly from pictures, but sometimes is very dificult to match the skin tone

Foxgrrl has her faces on Simfreaks, look up Women's head meshes. A lot of hers are in Fionn's series II Real Heads. Hope that helps. Some of my all time favorite face makers have to be seammer of 8ds, Camilla and Tojah of Nightime sims are amazing, ahn of simfreaks... and soo many more, I love faces I am a complete mad woman about downloading new faces. I really like the mixture of the simmie faces and picture style, i dislike the unblended skin tones and the oddly positioned facial features on the some of the of picture styles and some of the simmish are a bit too barbie plasticy/cartoonish for me.
