Okay- see, here we go -

You know you have fave lines from the book - (some of them are so much better when James reads them, but there are some GREAT lines!)

Here are a couple of my faves:

Shadow: "How did you do that?"
Harry: "I went to school."

Harry: "Or maybe dragons would fly out of my butt."

Anyone else?

I love anything Bob says!
After listening to James Marsters, I hear Bob's disembodied voice very clearly when I'm reading.
I especially like "Woo woo, who's the babe?" it always makes me smile!
Very naughty spirit/skull!

Welcome to the board!!

Bob is wonderful! Love Bob -

Bob: Chics are in to chocolate, Harry.

And my fave:

Bob: Pot, kettle, black, Harry!

hehe ---

One of my favorite passages is...

Have you ever been approached by a grim looking man, carrying a naked sword with a blade about ten miles long...

That whole passage where Morgan shows up - I LOVE that!

Bottom line - Bob just rocks! tough job for a spirit in a skull, you know? :)

hmmmmm --

Here's the thing - I was totally taken by the first paragraph when I heard James read it --

"I heard the mailman approach my office door; half an hour earlier than usual. He didn't sound right, his footsteps fell more heavily, jauntily, and he whistled. A new guy..."

LOVE THAT!

Mac is great too - the guy at Harry's fave hangout - he just grunts and slaps food on the bar -- he's such a great character -

Just remembered another one -

Harry: "Bob, your'e a skull, you don't *have* any masculinity to insult."

Bob: "Chicks are into chocolate, Harry."

That whole potion scene is so cool!

Me, I love the last few lines of the first book. Talk about going out with a bang!

"My name is Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresdon. Conjure by it at your own risk. When things get strange, when what goes bump in the night flicks on the lights, when no one else can help you. give me a call. I'm in the book."

Welcome to the board!!

And that line is great!

I have lots of faves - but I can never seem to remember them when I'm in here --

Well, there's Harry's "...theological Switzerland, that's me."

Love that!

One of my favorite lines is the entire paragraph on Morgan in Storm Front

Quote:
Have you ever been approached by a grim-looking man, carrying a naked sword with a blade about ten miles long in his hand, in the middle of the night beneath the stars on the shores of Lake Michigan? If you have, seek professional help. If you have not, then believe you me, it can scare the bejeezus out of you.

Love that line. But my favorite line - the line that always makes me laugh no matter how many times i read it is in the first chapter of Storm Front during Harry's phone call with Monica Sells.

Quote:
Monica: "Is this, um, Harry Dresden? The, ah, wizard?"
Harry: (thoughts) No. It's Harry Dresden the, ah, lizard. Harry the wizard is one door down.

Oh, yes, and hello all. *waves* :rollin

The one line that made me laugh out loud is from Grave Peril -- from memory because my book is in the other room.

Harry and Michael are in the NeverNever. Harry hears a noise in the distance.

"Sh*t!" Harry says. "Hellhounds!!"

Michael says something about how he has asked Harry repeatedly to watch his language in his presence.

"Oh. Right. Sorry." Harry says. "Sh*t! Heckhounds!!!!"

:lol
