First class
Elva walked into the class, looking at the students that were there at the moment. She walked to the blackboard at the front of the class and wrote her name clearly. She then turned back to the students.
"Class will start in a minute," she said. "I suggest that you prepare yourself immediately. I don't want to be behind in these lessons."

Xylia came in and found a desk. She opened her bag and took out her books. She waited for the teacher to begin the lesson.

Ryley, who had already come into the classroom, decided to relocate to a desk next to Xylia, he then opened up his books, ready for the lesson.

"Oh, hello. Decided to sit next to me have you?"

Andaleeb walked into the room, blushing that she was this late. She sat down and tried to look inconspicous.

"Well, I know that Elizabeth the 1st lived from 1558 to 1603! She was the daughter of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn! oh and she came from England!" Ryley said after he raised his hand, she figured this class would be easy and interesting too, and so far it was!!
Then Peggy raised her hand, "umm, Charlemagne was born in the year 742 and died in the year 814 and he was in Western Germany I believe!" she said this in answer to what the professor had asked.

Andaleeb then raised her hand. "Hammurabi was from Babylon. He was the one who established written laws."

Elva smiled at the three students. "Well, that's 7 points for Moose and 12 for Loon. Does anyone else want a go at guess? I'm not taking any points off for wrong answers if that's what you're worried about."

Xylia put up her hand. She knew them all, but hoped the rest of them would be good enough. She began to talk even though the teacher didn't say to Xylia that she could talk.
"Gilgamesh was an ancient king of Babylonia who ruled around 2,700 BC
Julius II was a pope from 1503 to 1513. He then formed the anti-French Holy League in 1510. In 1512 he assembled the Fifth Lateran Council, which condemned the Gallicanism of the church in France and abolished simony in the college of cardinals.
Hans Holbein was an artist who travelled around Europe.
Nickolas II he was the last Czar to rule of Russian.
Bismarck his name was Otto Von Bismarck. He lived from 1815–98. He was a German statesman, and was known as the Iron Chancellor. "

"Very good," Elva said. "So 26 points for Loon, and 42 for Moose. I'll award another 5 points because of Miss Everest's contribution." She smiled at all of her students before continuing on.
"You all will only be learning upto the 16th century this year, and continuing on from there next year. We'll be looking at what Muggle History was about, including what Muggle thought happened during those years. For those expecting this to be like History of Magic, where you learn about the witches and wizards of the past, I'm sorry to disappoint you. This will be more similar to history courses taken in Muggle secondary schools."
"With what this course is about aside, what does everyone hope to learn during this course?"

"Alright class, that's it for today. For next class, I want a 1 page essay an aspect of history. It may be a time, person, thing, anything you want. Just make it good."
(((OOC: they're house points. man, i've been really generous this class. mind you, it might get harder to earn them!)))
