For it is God which worketh in you...
Philippians 2:5-13 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation,
and took upon him the form of a servant,
and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man,
he humbled himself,
and became obedient unto death,
even the death of the cross.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Re: For it is God which worketh in you...
worketh--rather as Greek, "worketh effectually." We cannot of ourselves embrace the Gospel of grace: "the will" (Psa. 110:3; 2 Cor. 3:5) comes solely of God's gift to whom He will (John 6:44, John 6:65); so also the power "to do" (rather, "to work effectually," as the Greek is the same as that for "worketh in"), that is, effectual perseverance to the end, is wholly of God's gift (Philip. 1:6; Heb. 13:21).

of his good pleasure--rather as Greek, "FOR His good pleasure"; in order to carry out His sovereign gracious purpose towards you (Eph. 1:5, Eph. 1:9).

I told you that Dr. Fausset had some good expositional insights sometimes. :)

(Why with fear and trembling... were either saved or not, no need to fear for salvation, we either have it or not... second why even fear God? Either were doomed or not, no need to fear... by the way i see your view.)

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."

The verse answers you. I know you would like to "tun out" the second part, but that has your answer, so you have to pay attention to it if you want an answer.

"Why with fear and trembling... "?

Because it is God who works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

"...why even fear God?"

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Heb. 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

why should it be a fearful thing to fall in the hands of the Lord if there is nothing but election before me... and all the blessings to the election... and I can't ever not be the election... and why should the man doomed to hell fear God if there is nothing He can do but burn in hell, whats worse than that?)

You must have never been chastized by God if you have to ask that.

"....and why should the man doomed to hell fear God if there is nothing He can do but burn in hell, whats worse than that?)"

There is something that if man did he wouldn't burn in hell, turn to God in repentence and faith, fallen man refuses to do so, though. What is more just than punishing sinners, whether given a chance to repent or not? God owes mercy on none. Granting an oppertunity for repentence to a sinner is an act of pure mercy, and being sinners by nature, those who are given that mercy, spit on it, and go right on desiping God.

lol I assure you I have... my point is why not, just not fear Him if I'm the election, you know what He does to those that don't fear Him... they burn in hell, but I'm the election... so no fear need, second as Paul said chastisment is a blessings... so I should welcome it... and count it as Father loves me... and lastly how could the always doomed fear God anyway... though it says that all to fear God.

Those who fear him are those who burn in hell, interesting assetion. Got any Scripture to back that up? Proverbs tell us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Chastizment is a blessing, in the long run. But I guess you wouldn't fear being eaten by a fish, or trapped in a burning building, simply because they were blessings in the end. Your mind is obviously constructed differently than mine, because that would scare the wits out of me. Don't understand your last question, it has nothing to do with the passage. The passage talks about working out our salvation, nothing about this group you believe in called the "always damned" or whatever.

should have been.

and lastly "why" should the always doomed fear God anyway... though it says that all to fear God.

In other words... one the bible says that all men to fear God...
#1 How could they... they can't know God to fear Him.

and #2 Why should they, their not the election, so why care what God thinks, their doomed from get go.

#1 The same way that people who have never heard of God are responsible for "thou shalt not steal" or "be ye therefore perfect" or any one of God's commands. They know God by nature, and though they reject what little they know, it is enough to make them fear and try to find ways to deny God exists (Cf. Atheism).

#2 Why should they, their not the election, so why care what God thinks, their doomed from get go.

People are doomed because they are sinners and as sinners they have to reason to fear God in the way a regenerate person would, i.e., reverence, but they surely can fear what God is able to do; "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matt. 10:28). Which is why Pagans invent gods and why Atheists deny Him.

How can they fear something they can't even know?

You can't. "They know God by nature, and though they reject what little they know, it is enough to make them fear and try to find ways to deny God exists (Cf. Atheism)."

That dont make no sense at all, they know there is a God and know they are doing evil, and might want to change but God won't let them? Is that your take? ITS either that or my way, they know they do evil... and such change, but don't want to and thats what rom chapter one is all about, INFACT read romans 2:1-3 and you'll see it was God that did it to them because they first rejected Him.

No clue what you're talking about. People know who God is, which is much different from knowing God, is in, being in a relationship with Him. They know what God is, not who God is. Don't see what problem you have with that.

The problem is romans makes it clear they know they are doing wrong, and there is a God... but DON'T want to turn to Him... therefore they are without excuse... not because they were burn to burn in hell, but because they know deep down what they do is evil, and there is a God that doesn't want them to do such things, and they would rather do the things and not turn to God... therefore they are without excuse.

Thank you for confirming all my previously given interpretation of Romans.

But your stance... is, that they couldn't change... it's that they didn't/don't want to change... God Just knew what choice they made before creation.
