Fran has the first Eddie Silva tape ready...
I read it at the booth... I emailed Fran about how to order, but no response yet.. maybe I'll spend more time at her site trying to figure it out... cuz I have NO idea.

Ran across article I wrote for online rag that never took hold, while taking inventory of disks of saved things over the years. Excerpt:
"Someone once told me in the OLTL chatroom that they don't miss a day of OLTL because a day without OLTL could feel like a cold day without putting on their warm fuzzy slippers. What did this fan mean? Perhaps she was referring to watching Carlotta doing quite a job "cleaning up" at the poker table, listening to Smokey Robinson put out the old school jams. Or maybe this fan meant that watching an intense moment on our favorite soap listening to a dramatic fluty piece of music in the background can make us sense a fresh and innocent feeling in the air. Well, this is a soap OPERA after all.
I've heard it said that OLTL can feel like the rain that pours or the lightening that crashes, as the band, Live, would sing. Whether we're being provoked to tears while watching Max grieve for Luna with their song "I Still Believe in You" playing... or to blows hearing the sound of Delores O'Riordan's voice (of the Cranberries) reverberating "What's in Your Head" from "Zombie" reverberating throughout Rodi's as Blair blasts Max for dirty dealing, OLTL has been hitting the mark for awhile now...
Perhaps some of the most gripping music selections is yet to come for those of us who are romantics. My personal recommendation is to keep an ear open to Natalie Merchant's introspective songs that have been floating around Llanview. I dedicate "Wonder" to baby Starr."
yeah I heard that they were ready too. I checked it out but I'm clueless too. I'm emailing here about it later. I'm sure she's busy and will get back to you in due time. I can't wait to start discussing him as Eddie.

Al: "Oh, whatever, in what fairy tale?"

Autumnrosey, could you post the info?
Last time I spoke to Fran, she said posting her responses was okay, that she just doesn't have time to get to the boards and do it herself.. she hasn't responded to my last email... so please do post the info.. want that tape ASAP!

The following are costs for entire episode tapes and those
tapes that are already editied. If you want soemthing specially edited then you would have to email me more information. (Sometimes I will listen to suggestions on who I should edit next. The more people who ask for a particular edit the greater the chance I'll do it
Costs are per tape no matter what speed you'd like them done on or how much you'd like on the tape. 6 hour (T:120) tapes only. I will not do tapes longer than that.
Costs for entire episode 6 hour (T:120) tapes are as follows:
$8 if you supply the blank tape
or
$13 if I supply the blank tape.
On the tapes that are already edited I'd suggest SP for the best quality. However, you can add them up to equal one 6 hour (T:120) tape for the cost of one tape.
I only use name brand tapes. If you decide to send your own blank tapes I would recommend using name brand tapes.
I supply book rate mailing only. Book rate can take 1-2 weeks for them to get to you. It depends on how busy the postal system is. During holiday & August it could take them up to a month.
If you want it mailed Priority mail (2-3 day) it is $4.50 for 1 tape. 2-3 tapes is $6.
Check or money order is accepted. Cash at your own risk.
The above is only if you live in the USA. If not let me know where you live and I can let you know the changes with mailing costs and if you can send blank tapes.
Please include a note with the payment telling me exactly what you want including, and most importantly, the name of the couple/tapes.
Also include your email address in case I have any questions.
I can also send you a detailed listing of my tapes (make sure you let me know which show you want a list of) via the postal service. It would answer most, if not all, your questions. I'd need your address to do this. Also, if you notice that you have something that I don't, please let me know because I'm always interested in trading. I also have listings of other soaps. I do keep entire episodes so if you are interested in those either ask or get the listing.
I've stared email listings for people who want to be notified when future tapes of any of the edited couples are finished. If you would like to be addes to this listing let me know. Pleas make sure you let me know which list you'd like to be on by informing me of which couple. My web page will also habe the updates.
My address is..

Autumnrosey....
Do I pay for one tape at a time, or can I pay in advance for all the Eddie Silva series, and she sends them as she makes them?
YOu have any advice on that?

I would just pay one tape at a time. You never know how many tapes it will end up being or how long it will take her to complete each edition of the series.. Let me know if you need anymore info

Autumnrosey.... another question
The first tape is 6 hours, so if I want SP, I send her $39 for the first tape so its 3 tapes? Is this what I'm understanding? And she's done the first 6 hours, or the first 2 hours?
Usally the edits are 2 hours each. I double checked the website and it's the first 2 hour edit that is done, so just sent her $13 (if she's providing the tape). Let me know if you need anymore info..
Thanks for the info.
I can't wait to get the tape from her. I might get some of the early Marcal stuff too since I didn't start dubbing them myself right away. I might do as Fran said though and combine edit tapes to one tape. The only purpose that I'm getting them is to rewatch the scenes so I don't need it to be the best quality. I can save a little money that way too.

Re: Thanks for the info.
No problem Jen I'm very anxious to get my tape too.
I ordered some early Marcal stuff from her & combined 3 edits on one tape cuz I hadn't seen the early stuff. The quality isn't too bad..and you know we have to save our money for futer Eddie tapes
I have a question for you. Did Fran happen to mention how far back she would be going with the Eddie edits? I have received the first one & it's starts late May 1999. Didn't NM start on ATWT in Early 1998? Just curious!

I haven't gotten my first tape yet!
I'll email Fran and see what she says... this is of UTMOST importance to us diehard NM fans!
Excerpt from Seal IV:
You allow yourself to fall from grace then you feel again. You re-ignite the senses... re-evaluate the gift of being able to make someone happy... The frustration... self doubt... all time low... anxiety &... disappointment. You gather them & then you strike with the might of it all. You let it hurt you, maim you & even disgrace you. But you NEVER let it kill you. You let it get you down but then you get back up again & you strike! with the might of a peaceful warrior.
I love my life, I love all the people in my life, even the one's I hate I love. I have the most amazing life in the world. People say the nicest things to me. I'm lucky... I have a voice... I'm not referring to the singing variety. I mean the voice of expression, of communication, how about just being heard? Isn't that what we all want?... [so] it would then give us a feeling of validation? Surely this would confirm our existence after all, none of us want to come and go into oblivion. We want to be counted isn’t that what all the anxiety and frustration’s about?
If I had a wish, [besides world peace], it would be that everyone in the world could experience what it is like to be heard, to connect directly with the emotions of others… But then I guess that would be like world peace in a funny kind of way… Inner peace. All of this is the gift I wake up to each day so you see the problems are insignificant! They become irrelevant in the big picture. Yeah sure I have bad days, sometimes I get down so low that I could wear a top hat & still crawl under a snake, we all do but when we’re being assessed, it’s going to be on how quick & if all we did get back up.
What’s amazing is that we come out of it [&]... we remember the... people that all too often go unnoticed.

Fran tells us about her Eddie Silva Tapes....
I asked Fran about Eddie Silva coming to town in 98... Fran kindly responded immediately... what a gal!
Quote:Yes, I said I'd start with what I had of him. I only started keeping ATWT again in 1999 when the AW cast members joined the show. It was actually the only soap I refused to even look at for many years. Mainly because Douglas Marland destroyed the show for me when he started around 1986/7. At that time I said I'd never tune in again. I guess "never" happened because I do like it now but it took a long time. In fact it took me awhile to even watch the episodes I taped in 1999! I think it was 2001 when I finally started watching ATWT and then went back and watched the older episodes Simon & Katie had caught my eye. I never ment for anyone to think that was his first day. Sorry for the confusion. Fran

Re: Fran tells us about her Eddie Silva Tapes....
Thanks Char!! (Duh Dawn coulda emailed Fran to find out ). I'm kinda disappointed that she doesn't have back to 98'. It sounds as though Eddie was having a thing with an older woman, that coulda been interesting.

Oh really? Older woman, eh? Yeah, sounds interesting alright... though I could watch that man walk his dog and I'd be swooning!
I wonder how much we missed... did he come late 98 and Fran's tapes are early 99? or vice versa?

Re: Fran tells us about her Eddie Silva Tapes....
Hey Char:
I know what you mean dog walking, talking out the trash, whatever **sigh*** I'm there hehe.
Anyway he started on ATWT near the end of March 1998 and Fran's edit starts near the end of May 1999, so looks like we will be missing a little over a year of Eddie stuff. Oh well, watcha gonna do.
