Having a TOOLGASM!
I just put a new $500 sound system in my truck today, and took a road trip back to where I'm from to see some friends. This finally gave me the chance to really hear Lateralus in it's entirety on a good system, with no distractions, and completely baked. This was the first time I've even really listened to the album while high. I don't know why, but weed lets you hear so much more of what's going on in music. Anyways, I sparked a fat J right at the beginning of 'The Grudge' and finished it (well, most of it) close to the beginning of 'The Patient'. I can't believe all the things I've still missed after so many previous listens. Fuckin' Aye, I love this album! Also, I experienced many "toolgasms" while listening. You know, when you have that surge of energy shoot out from the base of your brain, down your spine, and then courses throughout your body. Then making you shiver and giving you goosebumps, leaving you with a huge smile on your face. I know I can't be the only one who gets these "toolgasms". All I know, is that they are an amazing body high. They are also one of the greatest feelings I've ever had, and I'm pretty sure that I've only experienced them while listening to Tool. I also get them when I'm sober, but when I'm high, I experience more of them. Anyone else's thoughts on the subject?
see you auntie
"Since the one thing we can say about fundamental matter is that it is vibrating and since all vibrations are theoretically sound, then it is not unreasonable to suggest that the universe is music and should be perceived as such."
Yep get em all the time listing to tool or APC. pretty much limited to those two. ive only ever had em sober but i wouldnt say im limited to it. great feeling occurs more frequently on lateralus than any other album, something to do with hightened mental capacity?
