Hello and Welcome
Hi! I started this group to give young adults who deal with
illness a place to support each other.

I'm Sharon. I'm 27 and have dysautonomia, fibromyalagia, pseudo obstruction and a bunch of other stuff that I won't go into now. I live in NJ, have 3 kids and a sorta hubby. But sometimes I still don't feel like a total adult. Being sick since I was a kid has made me more dependant than I want to be. It's hard trying to manage the transition to being a real grown up when you are dealing with an illness. At least it is for me.

I'm sure we can talk more later but for now I just wanted to get this going and say hello.

Re: Hello and Welcome
Hi! I came on here to try to use all the fun new emoticons but I'm too tired to figure them out now. Oh well, will come back later. :-)

Website for youth with serious health conditions
Hey! We are writing to let you all know about a great website that we've been developing. We are a group of 6 teenagers who all have experience dealing with illnesses. Some of the illnesses that the 6 of us we have experienced are cancer, diabetes, lupus, and cerebral palsy. We decided to use our experiences to create a website for youth around the world who are struggling with illnesses. The website, Connect, is a great place to meet other people your age who know what you're going through. YOU ARE NOT ALONE in facing your illness! Please come and check out Connect at www.letsconnect.org and join our growing global support network =) Hope to hear from you - The Connect Team (Matt, Jen, Courtney, Natalie, Greg, Tanya)
