Help Please
here is my problem

I was habing problems with my unleashed so I had to uninstal all the games.

Now understand my hot date has the data3.cab error. However, before I used to get the error, I'd put in vacation it would install and my hot date would be there. (amazing isnt it, dont ask me how I did that)

now I can get all the way through house party, I get the data3.cab error for hotdate, so Iput in vacation and it says the sims isnt installed on my computer! How do I fix this? I have used the sims eraser and nothing works, how do I fix this problem? Do you think I have to reconfigure my computer, cause I'd hate to do all that for nothing if there is a simple solution (besides me getting anew computer)

I have 19gbs of space (and that is more then enough, when I had all the games installed it didnt even use up 4 gbs) and more then enough ram. My operationg system is windows 98

so if anyone has had that problema nd fixed it or knows how to fix it I'd greatly appericate all help

Since I'm a Sailor Moon fan, I gotta say, nice screen name, Sailor Earth! :)

I'm not sure what to suggest about solving your problem, though. :( I'm on a Mac, so I'm not familiar with the data3.cab error.

You might try asking your question at the Electronic Arts tech support site.
They offer live online support for The Sims. The link to get to the tech support chat room is:
techchat.ea.com:4080/chat/world/html/start.html

They also have a searchable database on the site that might have information on your problem.

Sorry I can't be of more help! Maybe some of our forum's PC folks will be able to give you some suggestions.
