Hey MsT, have you seen the new TV Guide?
David Boreanaz is on the cover and there's an article inside on Angel that you might want to check out. It talks about the 100th episode, among other things. The 100th episode is coming next week and in the listing it says that Cordy wakes up from her coma.
Quote:Cordy (Charisma Carpenter) awakens from her coma after having a disturbing vision about the gang's future, a development that forces Lindsey to expedite his scheme.
-from TV Guide listing for wed. 2/4.

Congrats to The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, as well as, the director Peter Jackson for their Golden Globe wins. This was 3 years in the making. Bring on the Oscars, and LOTR's 11 noms.
i had no idea they would be on the cover. I have been avoiding the Angel boards like the plague so i dont ruin my Cordy treat! I will make sure to pick it up. Thanks again!
It is about time Angel got a cover. I wrote them a scathing email last year about having crap like Charm on the cover, but not Buffy and Angel. Tee-hee-hee
yeah it was good to see David on the cover.
What did you think of this week's episode, BTW?
When I saw in the TV Guide something about someone from the past coming to help, or something like that, I would never have guessed Andrew. I was thinking maybe Giles or Willow but Andrew never crossed my mind. He did make me laugh though, the crazy stuff that he says all the time.
I can't believe that girl actually cut off part of Spike's arms. Of course with the incredible resources the Wolfram & Hart have they put his arms back on and they'll be just the same as new, like nothing happened.
I do think it's interesting to hear that Buffy and the other Slayers and anyone else involved with them don't think of Angel and co. as allies anymore just because they work for Wolfram and Hart now. I guess I can kinda understand why they'd think that.

Re: Hey MsT, have you seen the new TV Guide?
I thought last weeks ep was brilliant. by far the best of the season. Until my Cordy ep that is!!! Yeah
And I was not an Andrew fan before, but he was perfect in the ep. Funny, irritating and he grew some chest hair. Him cooing all over Spike?? Hilarious!
HIm standing up to Angel really got me. His line about none of the slayers having slept with Angel? Killed me. Smartest thing I have seen Buffy do in 4 eva. I really didnt like her at all.
I agree with the Slayers not trusting Angel. He may have felt that he made a compromise for the best (Connor), but no1 else knows why. So he cant expect people to go on faith.
Oh, and the Spike aspect of the ep. When i saw him carrying that little girl, i said,"I am done. I cant go for Spike anymore. I know he was evil when he did this. but it is too much, torturing children."
I fell for it hook, line and sinker. I dropped Spike like a bad habit-and was made to look the fool for doing so and i loved it!
Re: Hey MsT, have you seen the new TV Guide?
Yeah it was a really good episode.
I did sometimes like Andrew before but some of the stupid things he said and/or did did bug me sometimes. I loved how he kept commenting on stuff and interupting like Angel's crew didn't know anything and he knew everything. I loved when he was talking about being more manly and then he tripped over the body and screamed like a girl that was so funny. and that comment he made about none of those slayers sleeping with Angel, that was priceless.
yeah it is understandable that Buffy would no longer trust Angel. I wouldn't either seeing as though he's working for Wolfram & Hart now. We know that they are still fighting evil as much as they are allowed but certainly it's understandable of what Angel hooking up with "Evil, Inc." would look like.
oh, I know, they had me with that Spike thing too. I really thought he did that to her, even though I kept thinking that it didn't seem like and evil Spike thing to do, or a vampire thing for that matter. But I did believe it was really him none the less.
and this week's episode should be even better.

Angel, 100th episode.
I think that was a really, really good episode. It had it's comedic moments, as well as, it's very emotional dramatic moments.
I thought in particular the scenes between Angel and Cordy were really well done. Lots and lots of emotion. I was at least on the verge of tears. It was great to see Cordy giving Angel the much needed pep talk. Especially after he was gonna walk away from everything that they had going on, his heart(if he really had one, lol) just wasn't in it anymore. I think what Andrew said about Angel not having the support of Buffy and co. really hit hard. The Powers must have sent that and knew that Cordy was the only one who he'd listen to. It did come to shock to me in the end to find out that she wasn't physically there at all. I really thought that they had actually taken her out of her coma. It is good that they gave Cordy some type of ending instead of having her stay in a coma forever, the character deserved that at least. It would have been nice knowing that she was still out there somewhere though, just a phone call away if needed. It was great to Angel and Cordy finally get that kiss, I was happy when she went back for it.
Another scene that I enjoyed was when Spike was playing the video game. He was getting so mad at the stupid game, it was just hilarious. and also when they didn't want to attack Eve cause they are the good guys and all and then all of a sudden Harmony was attacking her cause, as she said, she's still evil afterall. that was funny too.
and of course the fight scene between Angel and Lindsey was awesome. Lindsey sure changed his attitide quickly once the protection spell was gone. A classic line was when he something like, You don't think they're mad do you? talking about the Senior Partners before getting sucked up into the portal.
They certainly did a great job with the episode.

Well Jen, u hit everything just about...
I loved the ep. I was completely snookered, cuz i didnt realize that she was dead. The thing is though is that tptb sending her back was HER wish. She truly loves Angel and believed in the mission.
The most heartbreaking scene was her telling Angel that she knew he'd be lost with out her and he said, "I AM lost without you." Man i tear up just thinking about it again. Then when she said, "U just forgot who u r." and he said, "Remind me." The love was there btween them.
At another board someone posted a very eloquent statement about Joss Whedon choosing to cave into pressure from Buffy/Angel shippers, but that, "a greater story went untold" in the Angel/Cordy relationship. It was so true and so obvious during this episode.
I had to go to Charisma's official site and post a thank you to her for being woman enuf to come back to a show that treated her so poorly just to give closure to her faithful friends.
I am a little disappointed i didnt get my love scene, but oh well...

yes, that's true, which is why the Powers(it feels weird btw using tptb since we use that so much when talking about the soap world even though I heard that expression on Angel long before I heard it with soaps but it still feels weird but that's probably just me lol) used her for that exact reason. She COULD be the one to get through to Angel because sending her back was HER wish, she DID love Angel and she DID believe in the mission.
ITA about that scene being really heartbreaking, I was tearing up watching too. You could feel the love between these two and that statement that person made about a greater love being left untold is so very true. It's just too bad that this Angel/Cordy relationship couldn't have been explored more.
Quote:I had to go to Charisma's official site and post a thank you to her for being woman enuf to come back to a show that treated her so poorly just to give closure to her faithful friends.
yeah, that was a big move on her part and it really is something that needed to happen because we needed to see some type of closure for Cordelia. and I'm glad that Charisma was able to put that stuff aside and give us that closure.
I have to say that I wasn't all that impressed with the follow-up episode to the 100th. Maybe I'm looking at in the wrong light but it didn't seem to fit with all that we had got from the previous episode. I don't know maybe that was just me. But from the scenes of this week's episode, I have to say that it looks hilarious. My sister and I, as soon as we saw the scenes after last week's show, just started cracking up.

The puppets.
OMG, the whole thing with Angel as a puppet was hilarious. I loved when Spike walked in and said, "You're a puppet." Just the tone in his voice when he said that was priceless. and then the fight between Spike and puppet Angel, just too funny. I thought it was interesting that Gunn got that permanent procedure done to him, I think it makes sense though cause it seems likes he feels more useful to the gang with knowing all that legal stuff than without it. what happened to the kid at the beginning, the look on his face, was a little disturbing but other than that I really enjoyed the episode.
I don't like what the scenes for next week's show though. Are we really gonna have to lose Fred too? that last thing they need is to lose another female on the show.
