Hot Date Crashing in Mac OS X
This is soooo frustrating! I just bought Hot Date for my iMac, and after running The Sims for a 2 weeks without a problem, the minute I install Hot Date, the crashes every time I try to play! I have no downloaded objects (I know that they can cause crashes) and I have tried everything I can think of....reinstalling, downloading patches/updates, setting the graphics and play options to low or turning them off, playing in the lowest screen resolution, etc.
I have a iMac, running OS X 10.2.5. 384MB Ram and all the requirements to play The Sims and Hot Date.
But still, for some reason, I can't even get 5 minutes into the game without the game crashing or freezing, my computer telling me to restart, or getting a kernal panic.
I already tried to talk to Aspyr tech support, but they were no help at all.
Welcome to the forum, Rae Ann and my apologies for not having replied sooner to your post. Have you discovered what was causing the problem? I'm in OS X, but didn't have any problems after installing HD. Do you have any downloaded skins, or wall/floors in the game? Those can cause crashes, too, if the files aren't written properly.

Thanks for replying. I had absolutely no downloads in addition to Hot Date. I actually got a response from Aspyr saying that I could send the game back and get a new one because the disk might be defective. So I did. Lets see if I have problems with the new disc when I get it...

Actually...I just got the game back yesterday, and it's still doing the same thing. I'M SO FRUSTERATED! I have plenty of RAM, 384MB, I dont' know why it's doing this! Grr...I can't even play the game for 5 minutes....
