How to present your Roleplaying Group: guideline
Generally the more information you give the better, the more likely it gets that you will catch people’s interest. So, here are a few suggestions:
1. Name: What is the name of your group/game?
2. Link: Where can it be found? (URL?)
3. Theme
What are you playing? LOTR, First Age or third Age, or Harry Potter? Is it close to the book/movie/lore, or more free (AU), or ist it even a cross-over?
4. Kind of roleplaying
What is the dominant style of roleplaying in your group? Is is more action oriented or character oriented? Many short posts, or fewer but longer posts? How often are players posting in general, and how often are they required to post? Again, is it more close to the origina story/universe or AU (alternative universe)?
(Example: “We are playing true to canon, book-based LOTR during the time of RotK)
5. Characters needed
This can be a list of available characters, whether madeups are welcome or not (What kind of madeups? Hobbit, dwarves..? The fantastic kind or more down to earth?) What kind of player do you prefer? Serious and digging deep or more focused on action? …
You could even post a list of needed characters, but of course that would mean that you would have to update your post regularly.
Make sure to start a new thread for your groups so that the different groups don't get mixed up if people want to talk about your group and reply to the thread.
