Are you in the mood to see more past video clips? CheyenneB
Oh boy, did I really have a great time last night watching some fantastic old Days clips, and I didn't even have to leave the computer to do it. Do you have any idea just how many wonderful people out there have donated there time in putting great Days clips online? From the awesomely unique couple of J&J, to Steve and Kayla, to so many more--far too many to name here...

To the page I put the Birth Of Abby clip on, I updated a slew of links you can follow to find more great footage of Days right online. Everyone is welcomed to check out the ones I found. I'm sure I only touched on the tip of the iceberg of what's really available out there, but I listed the best ones I could find just to start. Simply amazing...

If you're looking for more than what I have listed, I also put up some suggestions on where you can start searching for more great clips online. My passion is J&J, and I can tell you, there was plenty out there to keep me entertained.

You can go to www.thequietcorner.com and follow through to the Days Of Our Lives page to see what I found out there.

Be thankful to everyone like the creator of Mashfordpage who is helping to keep some of these beloved characters alive online. Their work is often tireless, because they really loved what you love...

Whew! I feel like I ran a marathon again... CheyenneB
Hey, Matt fans! Hey, J&J lovers! I could use some help...

I got carried away again... Seriously, but it was so much fun! These online clips of the J&J story are seriously getting me addicted all over again.

I spent the day working on the video clips page on my website. I put up a list of about two dozen Jack Deveraux video clips and tried to list them in the order which they played on the show. They range from many different places in TJDS.

If anyone is feeling ambitious enough to help me, I want to try and find the corresponding TJDS page for each clip so people can follow up watching the clip by reading the whole show for that day if they want on Mashfordpage's TJDS. Anyone willing to lend a hand helping me find the TJDS story numbers for each one? If you want to help out, just leave a response right here... Goodness knows I'm going to be back!

To help out OR just to enjoy the Matthew clips in all his wonderfully glory, goto www.thequietcorner.com and follow the links to the Days Of Our Lives Video Clips page.

I know there are enough dedicated fans out there that have probably read TJDS more than a few times... You know it's true... LOL! :p

DOH! Forgot to ask... CheyenneB
Sally, would it be acceptable for me to make the link go to your TJDS index page? Or would you prefer visitors be sent to the Main Mashfordpage instead? I don't mind putting the link to either one. As long as I know which one you prefer. I should have asked in the post above.

The link would be placed on the Days Video Clips page on my website, and it will open up a new window for the visitor to be sent to either your TJDS page or the Main Mashfordpage. Which ever you prefer, really...

Steve/Kayla/Billy Jack Deveraux Johnson clips... CheyenneB
Today I found a dozen or so new clips that I added to the Days Video Clips page on The Quiet Corner website. The link is posted above.

Anyway, some of the clips I found regard some of the early Steve/Kayla/Jack relationship when Jack first learned he was a Johnson, and also the days when he fell off of the rooftop and needed a kidney transplant.

One scene that really had me cringing because of the intensity was one where Steve comes to the Deveraux mansion to confront Jack about the fact that they ARE brothers. In this scene, Steve actually tries to get through to Jack toward the end of the conversation by giving him a hug... Awe... It was apparent that Jack didn't enjoy being manhandled though... LOL!

The other stuff I found was some footage of J&J during one of their earliest storylines together. It was the Baby Hannah storyline in which a homeless pregnant teenager is so desperate to have her baby in a safe place that she actually commits a crime so she can have the baby in prison. When Sally learns she won't be able to keep the baby with her in prison, Jennifer decides she would like to become a foster mother to baby Hannah.

The Baby Hannah plotline was one in which both Jack and Jennifer were able to stretch their wings a little to show different sides of their personalities.

There were a few other scenes that I found regarding early J&J footage as well. Enjoy!

You can see all of the video clips by going to The Quiet Corner website. Follow the links to the Days Of Our Lives video clips page.

There's no way to know how long all of these clips will be available online, so enjoy them while they are there.

I'm loving this new hobby... CheyenneB
This week was a wonderful week for finding new Days clips online to watch. Here's a brief rundown of some of the new stuff I found and added to thequietcorner.com website for everyone.

Four new portions of the Baby Hannah storyline.

Steve and Jack's fight on the rooftop when he shoves Jack off of it.

Kayla and Steve's first kiss and the first night they made love.

Two great new clips of Jack taunting Steve at the Brady fish market and again at Saxon's tailor shop where Steve has gotten a job.

THE DEATH OF STEVE! - I cannot tell you how deeply touched I was and still am by Days incredible use of every last character during this storyline. They gave Stephen Nichols the send off of all send offs. As awful of a plot twist as it was for them to kill of Patch, they really took the time and effort to try and close his storyline in a very touching way. There were MANY clips of this storyline online! I hope they were all posted in the right order, because there were so many.

Also there were a few more that I found that were cute of Jack baby sitting Stephanie while Kayla was in prison and one of Jack and Jennifer setting up a romantic dinner for Steve and Kayla.

We'll see what I can dig up next week.

Enjoy!

Come on over to The Quiet Corner website and enjoy some of these great new videos of Jack D!

Oh what a tangled web I've woven... CheyenneB
And a tangled web it really is too... LOL!

I was going over the links for the clips that I listed on the website today just to make sure they were all still working, because you never know if YouTube is going to remove the clips or something... Anyway, I began to realize as I started watching the clips that my list is so horribly out of order that my badge for being a hopeless J&J addict ought to be stripped right now... :p

In my brain I just remember things occuring in a different order than it seems actually happened on Days. I thought Jack already knew he was Steve's brother by the time Steve gave him the kidney... Out of the few dozen clips listed on the page, I think a third of them are probably out of order. So thank goodness for TJDS! It's gonna be a big help in getting these clips in the right order.

In words of the great Arnold S. "I'll be back!"

Howdy... CheyenneB
Hey, it's me again! Let's see what fun new bag of tricks we have in store for this week, eh?

First of all, I managed to find the appropriate TJDS # for each video clip, so everything is finally in order. Now if you want to know what transpired before or after a video clip starts, simply click through the link posted below most of the clips. Only a very brief few were not available for reading.

One thing I really noticed while I was going over TJDS last night was how much background and innuendo Sally and her friends were able to put into each transcript. It almost makes the story feel even more complete to read about the scenes after you've watched them. There was so much going on in some of the scenes and Matt was such a prolific actor that it was impossible to catch all of the subtle stuff the way it was written out. After all these years I must say, TJDS is very well done.

--------------------------------
Summary of the new video clips that were posted to The Quiet Corner website this week:

Steve, Kayla and Jack dealing with different aspects of Jack & Kayla's divorce. Harper is uncovered as the Riverfront Knifer... Bwahahaha... He really did look pretty darned psychotic during those last few scenes on Kayla's rooftop. Johnson Christmas of 1989 when Jack, Adrienne, Steve and Jo got together to celebrate the holiday for the first time. And then there is the clip at Jennifer & Lawrence's trial when Jack takes the stand.

There were a few others too. Enjoy!

Oh what fun it is to play.... CheyenneB
I had a ball looking for more vintage clips of Days this week and I found a few really good ones.

----------------------------------------
Summary of the new clips this week:

Melissa dumps Jack at the altar - a final humiliation for Jack Deveraux, which of course he really deserved at the time.

Jack tries to humiliate Steve at Jo's birthday party, but his plan backfires miserably. Realizing the person he's brought to the party is his father's twin brother Earl, Jack watches his sister flip out. For the first time ever, Jo turns her back on Jack and asks him to leave.

More of the Baby Hannah story has appeared online.

Adrienne is trapped under a collapsed building. Jennifer tries to offer Jack some emotional support during the ordeal.
--------------------------------------------

I think the best one to watch this week was DEFINITELY the two videos where Jack tries to humiliate Steve and ends up just wounding himself more than anything. The deadly music playing in the background when Earl walks in and the look on Adrienne's face when she remembers shooting her father is absolutely heart pounding. That was drama!

And the funny thing is, in a recent post during the past month, I was wondering when it was that Jack gave Jo the matching jewelry for the present he'd given her at Christmas as Santa. Sally, the second part of this episode is that clip... LOL!

It was smack dab in the middle of the Baby Hannah storyline. I hadn't seen it in a long time so it was very good to see again.

The fall of Jack Deveraux... CheyenneB
This week in a new series of video clips on the website, I decided to delve into the aspects of Jack's past that ultimately led him to become to person he was by the time he met Jennifer.

The downfall of Jack Deveraux... In this week's clips you can examine what led to Jack's inability to participate in and accept love in all forms.

After learning that he was adopted in the first clip, Jack is told by his mother that she gave him up because she "loved him". In the following clips, Jack is told by his father Harper, his sister Adrienne, his brother Steve and his girlfriend Melissa that they all kept the truth from him for so long because they "loved him". The one question Jack asks Melissa during their scene on the pier is, "Why didn't anyone love me enough to tell me the truth?"

The final insult that wounds Jack beyond repair comes when he learns that his adopted father is the Riverfront Knifer and he's tried to kill Kayla. When Jack is forced to hear his father confess, he confronts Harper and asks him why... Harper says the one thing that drives Jack over the edge. He tells Jack he did it because he loved him... From that moment forward, Jack wanted to hear those words from no one, nor was he able to say the words to anyone.

This series of clips seemed to be the crust of what drove Jack from that day forward as he began to reject love in all its forms. No one was able to break through the wall he built around himself until the scene in the cave when he admits to Jennifer that he had intentionally closed himself off from everyone out of the fear of getting hurt again. Check it out. It was an interesting set up to years of torment for this character...

What I find interesting is how back then, Days really set a character up and followed through on the plotline for a long time. It was easy to understand a character's emotions because history wasn't constantly shifting and changing to fit the mood of the writers that month.

Please come and enjoy the new clips.

Go to The Quiet Corner and follow the links to the Days Of Our Lives clips page. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the videos!

Video Update: Week of July 31st... CheyenneB
For the first time in a while I'm enjoying doing my own videos again for a change. Youtube.com has been a fun resource to tap, but now I'm finding myself wanting to find more specific scenes and clips. So, what better to do than pull out the old case of J&J tapes, right?

Most of the tapes I'll be working from are originals that are still in absolutely excellent condition, so the footage should look great online. But, I have to send my thanks out to Sally and quite a few friends I met here on the board who help me fill my J&J library about five years ago. You work shall be rewarded one day... LOL!

So without further ado:

Ah, what a walk down memory lane... Do you remember The Cruise of Deception? Or, as Jack Deveraux once called it, The Cruise Beyond Description?

No matter what you want to call it, it was the number one reason for me to be home at 1pm no matter what during the summer of 1990... This week's update to the Days Video Clips page will primarily deal with filling in the gaps of this story.

This was the portion of Jack's story that finally catapulted him out of the mire of his selfish existence in Salem to give him an opportunity to examine a relationship with Jennifer away from the prying ears and eyes of everyone they knew. It finally blossomed from the frustration of Jack and Miss Horton to the story of Jack and Jennifer...

The second installment of new clips deals with Jack and Jennifer after they finally make love and admit their feelings. Jack gives Jennifer a shell ring and seems to be trying to make a commitment to her, though it isn't long before the reality of life barges in and leaves Jack wondering if he's done the right thing by Jennifer.

In the following clips it's so evident that he wants to try and support her even though it seems impossible for him to trust the new bond between them.

Please enjoy the clips of "The Island" that have been added to the video clips page.

If you are looking for a particular scene of something, come to the website and let me know. If I have it, I'll try and get it up there for you as time allows...

Update for the week of 8/3/07 CheyenneB
What proposal of marriage on television didn't take your breath away? Well, for Jack and Jennifer fans this moment simply floored everyone.

Throughout the entire year preceding this proposal, viewers only occasionally got to hear Jack speaking his thoughts and feelings aloud--although he was finally starting to get better at it after Steve's death. Still, it was a very rare occurrence that Jack revealed anything of himself out loud. So, this was certainly a historical day in Jack Deveraux history.

If you want to hear him say it out loud, these are the scenes to watch. What he reveals of himself to Jennifer is simply amazing...

----------------------------------------------------
Featured in this week's new clips:

Fear, desperation and love are the emotions that drive Jack to finally propose to Jennifer. Jack is fearful that something is going terribly wrong in his relationship with Jennifer, but he doesn't know what's happened to change things so drastically. Desperate to try win her back, Jack finally finds the courage to take a chance on making their relationship official. His love for her and his need for her companionship, friendship and devotion are at the crux of Jack's impassioned speeches to Jennifer throughout these new scenes.
-----------------------------------------------------

Please come and enjoy these newest video clips. Just follow the links to the Days Video Clips page. Everyone is welcomed to visit... If you were a Jack Deveraux fan, these clips are some great ones to watch.

J&J Christmas of 1990 & SOD Award of 1991 CheyenneB
Jack and Jennifer Christmas of 1990 and the Soap Opera Digest awards of 1991:

All right, watching all these old scenes could keep anyone from sleeping at night, that's for sure. But, hey... You gotta do what you've got to do to make the most of a sleepless night. It's just too hot to sleep tonight.

I put up a few more clips tonight for everyone to enjoy. Here's a summary of what is new besides the proposal scenes I posted earlier:

------------------------------------------------
The Jack and Jennifer Christmas clips of 1990!

The hope chest, the kiss, the call Jennifer makes to Dr. Baker... There were a lot of moments to love about this first Christmas that Jack and Jennifer shared in 1990. It was smack dab in the middle of a rough patch, but Jack managed to make it one of the most memorable moments in J&J history.

There are five clips of that Christmas in all, including Jack's very special visit and gift for his mother Jo. The one she'd been waiting years for.

Soap Opera Digest Awards 1991

I didn't even know I had this clip of Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves winning the award for Best Supercouple. They were adorable together...

------------------------------------------------

Come to www.thequietcorner.com and enjoy the fruits of my restless night. Some more old Days clips... LOL!

When Jack killed Harper... CheyenneB
It's been a while since I did any work on the video clips page, so tonight I thought I'd add in something pretty exciting. I loved this whole storyline anyway, but...

----------------------------------------------------
What's new this week?

Jack Kills His Adopted Father Harper!

These scenes completely eclipsed the entire story of Jack Deveraux in every possible way. At the moment when it seems he has finally regained so much that he'd lost, Jack's world come to an earth shattering halt. In order to save the brother he's come to love, Jack is forced to kill the man who adopted him. In the process, Jack somehow loses sight of himself all over again...

Jack Awakens - Harper has knocked Jack unconscious in order to steal his car and get to the wedding to kill Steve.

Jack Begs Harper To Stop - At the start of Steve and Kayla's wedding, Jack rushes up to the church bell tower where Harper is holding a gun which is pointed right at Steve. Jack begs him to stop. He tearfully tries to coax his father out of his rage, finally forced to wrestle his father for the gun. His father fights him to the very last breath. Jack shoves his father in an act of desperation which causes him to crash through a boarded up window.

Steve Realizes What Jack Has Done - Roman and Steve have found Harper dead at the foot of the bell tower. Jack is sweating profusely and appears to be in complete shock to realize what he's done. Steve is awestruck to know that Jack has really saved his life this time.

The Aftermath - Jack decides to go back to the wedding to save Steve a second time that night. He's the one who had the wedding ring after all. But, following the ceremony, Jack needs to break away from the festivities. After whispering in Jennifer's ear that he killed Harper, he leaves for a few minutes alone. Back at the Spectator, Jennifer finds him and rushes to comfort him...

Aftermath Pt 2 - Steve tells Kayla what Jack did to save him. The next day Jack starts to rethink his relationship with Jennifer... Jennifer refuses to let him try and pull away from her. She insists on going with him to the police station to talk to Roman.

Steve Hears Part Of Jack's Confession - Jack is being forced to relive the moment he killed Harper during questioning by Roman. Steve walks in as Jack is starting to lose what little patience he has left for the whole thing. Steve has a startling announcement for Jack after everyone leaves the room. Even Jack is yet again amazed...

Woo hoo! Something fun and new! CheyenneB
Tonight something special got added to The Quiet Corner! I just couldn't help myself once I got started... :lol

There is a whole brand new reason to come and enjoy the website. I added a new page in that I fondly refer to as The Jack & Jenn Story. It's a select assortment of really wonderful music videos created by the most dedicated fans that really did some great work.

My personal recommendation if you are going to watch no other video? Watch the very first one on the new page. It is simply to die for! I could watch it over and over... It's just that beautiful!

Please, come to The Quiet Corner and follow the link to the Days Video Clips page. J&J Music Videos now have their own page!

Hey? How about that Cruise? CheyenneB
It was Beyond Description, wasn't it?

I have stepped away from all of the reality interviews this week and instead decided to start doing some new and improved videos from, you guessed it, COD!

How about a little Tango? Or maybe a Moonlight Picnic? Or perhaps you'd rather enjoy some Cabin Fever?

Nine videos in all were added to the Cruise of Deception, brilliantly restored back to its former glory--well, except for the very last one, but that's the one I watched the most on VHS... Watcha gonna do? It's not too bad though. All the others are in great shape though!

Come and enjoy some new stuff at The Quiet Corner! And, check back here again soon for more and more updates... LOL!
