I'm thinking of joining the throng...got some questions...
Hi y'all~
I'm been tossing around the idea of joining the crowd and starting an online comic starring sprites jacked from my more favorite games of yore.
I'm wondering what kind of additional "toys/tools" you guys would recommend to make it easier.
I currently have a good number of emulators and CorelDraw 8. But I don't really want to take screenshots and cut and paste every individual sprite. (I'd be 30 by the time I finished THAT.)

Cutting and pasting doesn't take too much time, if you 'cheat'. For example, say your main character is a sprite of Locke (FF3/6), play FF3/6 with him in the lead, and when you take a snapshot, boom, there he is, just copy the screenie, then cut & paste your sprite onto his.
I use SNes9X to take my pictures and Adobe 4 & 6 to do everything else, along with MSPaint a little.

I got the sprites for my comic at the sites listed here: reset.keenspace.com/hookuplinks.htm I hope that helps.
Re: I'm thinking of joining the throng...got some questions.
Thanks Guys.
So far I've pretty much given up an entire day of my life in my searches. It's beginning to look a lot like (Christmas?) I've picked a more obscure sprite set.
The idea I've got is a Castlevania theme involving the Belmonts and the Dracs from the three "real" Nintendo games and from SotN (And maybe CV4, but I haven't found much at all for that). I'm not having too much difficulty frinding Belmonts. Lots of them are animated .GIFs, but I can pull stills out of them somewhat easily. It's dracula(s) that I'm having a tough time hunting down.
TDC, I appreciate the links page. I had already exploited half of them at the time of your posting. (Terragen is a pretty fun program.) A few of them have been bookmarked to go back to. But pretend I didn't mention it to ya, because I sure don't want to be condemned. (Maybe if I pretend to get the inside joke, I'll look cool.)
Well, I've talked enough for the new guy.
Re: I'm thinking of joining the throng...got some questions. Nah, don't worry about the inside joke. It was just between Atma and I. He was being a little snot. *chuckle* j/k, Atma.
Yeah, those sites are pretty sweet, and there are other great ones out there, I just haven't found them yet. Oh, if you find a great SotN site, would you send me the link? I'd appreciate it, as I'll be needing those sprites for the crossover with Simon's World.

Sure thing. I'm at work right now and can't remember where I found the stuff that I did. But I know there was a site with a good amount of SotN stuff. When I get home and find it, I'll eMail it to you. Are you looking for any character in particular? Alucard, Drac, or Richter, or all of 'em?
...Still can't find much Drac though...and I really need him from CV1, 3 and SotN and possibly Bloodlines... If you find him in your hunting could ya share the wealth?
Re: I'm thinking of joining the throng...got some questions.
I'm looking for Alucard in particular. If I come across some dracula images, I'll let you guys know. I always put such things in my hookuplinks.

Idraw
I draw is a pretty usefull spriting tool. It can zoom to the point where you can veiw each pixil at about half an inch squared, and there`s a nice recouloring tool that speeds things up very very nicely. Question, are those last sprites on the little selection board from RM2K?
