Ithiloth
My name is Ithiloth, which means Moon Flower. I have living parents, and two elder brothers. In fact, they are quite a bit older than I am.
I was just a young Elf of 200 when the rest of my family decided that they wished to sail from the Grey Havens.
But I did not wish to go. However, when one is young, and still so much under the influence of one's family, one does what one is told.
And so I prepared, heavy-hearted, to leave Middle-Earth and sail into the Undying Lands.
The journey was long. Every day, my heart grew heavier. And finally, two days from the Havens, I made up my mind after the last pleading to my family to let me stay, which they refused.
So I kept my pack, bow, and woodland clothes ready. I went into the Havens as one resigned to sail, and in my finery and cloak boarded the beautiful ship.
But I kept my things near. I hugged my family and then stood by the rail, watching the lands grow smaller and smaller in the distance. And when I judged we were a league out, I shucked off my cloak and gown, grabbed my things, and dove into the water. A strong swimmer, I had no difficuty making it to shore.
The tide and moonset were my allies as I made it back to my land--a small settlement near Imladris.
Here I stay, and hunt in hunteress' garb, and explore.
I was not ready to leave Middle-Earth. I do not think I will ever be ready.
