It's Christmas Time! :D
I love this time of year!!! Christmas time is such a happy season, and, being such a hopeless romantic, it's also such a romantic season (at least to me.)... Even though I've never had a "special someone" to spend the season with... I can still appreciate the romantic setting and possible settings... You know, the romantic fireplace with Hot chocolate and marshmallows... and the adorable couple cuddling in front of the fireplace... ah... *sigh*... Maybe I just have a wild imagination... LOL... Anyway... What does everyone else love about this time of year??? "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!"
Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
Everyone seems to get nicer? Not if you work at the mall. I hate this time of year. The holiday season is a time to spend with peole you're related to but don't know, a time of awkward meals and the giving of gifts you couldn't afford and the receiving of gifts you wouldn't have spent your money on. It's a time of stress, pain and loneliness. Everyone hurries about, intent on their goal, not paying attention to others. The season of giving has become the season of capitalism, greed and selfishness. People fight for parking spaces, get into accidents because they're thinking about themselves and then get angry at the innocent others. I really don't see anything to be happy about here. People even tip less this time of year, as they've spent all their money on holiday shopping, and apparently can't afford the extra two bucks that would make a decent tip. I don't ask for exceptional, just decent.
*sigh* Perhaps I should've ranted about that tonight.

Well, Nice to meet you Scrooge! Merry Christmas to you too! LOL... I think you're looking at it way too pessimistically. But that's your own free will and choice. So... I bet you're looking forward to a wonderful season. LOL... Anyway. Umm... if we're going to rant ravagely on Christmas, can we find at least one good thing to say about it? Anyway.

Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
One good thing? Hmm... You know, the only really good thing about the season is the one thing you don't want me to say. It's getting. Honestly. Getting the gifts you expected or didn't expect, getting to see the look on the faces of the people you got gifts for, getting lucky just once and getting the good parking spot, getting a good deal, getting money out of others because that's what's supposed to happen... *shrug*

Good Job TDC... You did find something good to say about this season. I'm so proud. You said "getting to see the faces of the people when they open the gift you got for them." But actually that's the joy of giving. They are the same thing. That just makes my day that you found something happy to say. Yea! YOU WIN!!!!

Bah... :P... Okay I'm done. You can be as depressed as you want during this joyous season. Be miserable. I don't care. It's your life and your free to live it as joyously and happily as you want. That choice is yours. YOU have control over how happy your life is. If you want to dwell in pity, that's up to you. If you want to be grateful for the small things in life, that's also up to you. Make your choice, just don't try and bring other people down with it.

TDC... Can I talk to you sometime? Anyway... The previous post that I posted, I hope that you didn't think that I was being bitchy or rude. Just saying as straightforward as possible, without subtext... Just didn't want you to think I'm mad or anything.

Everyone is more than welcome to join the conversation on Christmas... I promise! But I want to tell you guys about my incredible evening! So, tonight was one of my campus group's formal Christmas dinner. So, the girls got all dressed up, and we drove to the clubhouse where the dinner was to be held... at the gate of the clubhouse was one of the guys in his military uniform and he tells us to pull forward where we will get valet parking. So we drive up, where we are meeted by 5 or 6 guys. They come to each door and open the doors for us... Then one guy goes to each girl and escorts us into the clubhouse. First of all, the clubhouse was gorgeous with a lake surrounding it... and Christmas lights decorating the terrace, and on the inside, there were gorgeous wreaths and garlands and a beautiful tree... and as the gentleman walked us inside they took a flower (a red carnation) and handed them to us, they then walked us to our tables and took our coats... and then seated us... it was all so chivalrous and exciting... They then continued to serve us all night, and one guy offered me his jacket when he saw that I was very cold... The whole night was a night of service to the girls... oh they also washed our hands for us! It was so funny and cute at the same time. And then, as the night came to a close, they escorted us to our cars and bid us farewell... It was so much fun! I loved it dearly... They said that we sometimes have insecurities and stresses and many burdens, and tonight was our night to be treated like princesses. It was great. And it was all so Christmas-y... I loved it! It was so romantic and charming... So take note guys... women loved being served on hand and foot, and chivalry always wins! And flowers... flowers are ALWAYS good...

Xeerow, if you wish to learn more, then more you shall learn! Besides, the best place to get advice on getting a girl's interest is from a girl... I mean, they do know what a girl wants! Okay, first of all when you ask a girl on a date, it should be charming and "smooth". You should start off just talking, be interested in everything she says. Be complimentary, etc... etc... And also be very curteous. Then, the conversation could take one of a few roads... One of you may have to leave, in which case, you say "I'd love to continue this conversation. Could I take you out to dinner where we could continue this?" Or something nonchalant like that. Or, if you feel like she really is into you, then you can ask her to do something sometime. Like you could say, "Would you mind going to a movie sometime?" or whatever. Be don't overdue it... Women are the farthest thing from dumb (well, most of us anyway) and we know when a guy is coming on too strong. But, also, we love to be complimented, so do so... Say that we are so beautiful when we smile. Or there is something about our eyes that is just gorgeous... etc.. etc... Girls love having their eyes complimented (unless there is something terribly wrong with their eyes, in which case, avoid eye comments. We know when we hear a false compliment.) But avoid chauvinistic (sp?) comments, like "you've got a nice ass..." You get the idea, that's not a good idea. The idea is to be charming, suave, devonair, a knight in shining armour, if you will. I will further explain date behavior next time... This shall hold you over until then... If anyone wants to know more in detail, write to shjarvis@hotmail.com
