I visited the site. Thanks for posting it. Obviously it's a work in progress. I'll be sure to check back for when they update it.
Hmm. What do we know about Jim? Well, he's a guy. He's a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and he's a good writer. Has anyone got anything to add to this? ;-)
Re: Jim Butcher
Okay, if anyone ever comes here who isn't on the McNally's list Jim will be appearing at SheVa Con in 2004. He is already booked to be their guest of honour. SheVa Con is in February I think so it should be not long after Book 5 of the Dresden Files is released. That should be good timing and maybe a new audio book will be out by then if we're lucky. Maybe Harry Dresden action figures, t-shirts and lunch boxes even.
;-) Nah, maybe not the lunch boxes. We all know Harry Dresden never has any food in his fridge so it's not realistic.
Con-Quest
Jim was at Shore Leave in Baltimore in July. Did anyone meet him there? I'm kicking myself now but then my very good excuse is that I hadn't read any of his books yet so I didn't know who he was. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I suspect that with the growing popularity of Harry Dresden and the natural tie in with James Marsters through the audio book that Jim will get invited to more conventions in the future. James Marsters is contracted to do, I believe, 8 conventions next year (5 in the U.S., two in Europe and one in Canada) so it is likely that Jim will get invited to some of the North American ones. Whether or not he is able to attend any or all of them will depend on his own schedule and abilities but it would be cool.
I have already contacted the people at Toronto Trek suggesting Jim as a guest author. I recommend that everyone contact their local conventions requesting him. If they get actual requests they are more likely to consider him.

Re: Con-Quest
Well - I didn't make it to Shore Leave - tho I wanted to go b/c I knew James would be there - but I couldn't afford that and Gatecon too - so, Gatecon won --- (sorry James - but RDA and Stargate SG-1 was 1st) ---
But, I'm planning, currently, to go to ShevaCon in 2004, and probably Gatecon next year - money permitting --
and the only con I know of near me is Sheva - and Jim's already invited ----
I heard this, don't know if it is true. Jim is supposed to be at Moonlight Rising and Dragoncon next year. I have met him. He is a really really nice guy. Very funny too. : )
