Just Say No to J-Lo ( an angry rant about modern times)
So I'm watching TV and J-Lo's new video comes on. I start asking myself why, oh why is this woman popular. She's a hack! Her new video is a mediocre copy of Flashdance, which was a mediocre film to begin with and yet it entertains some people. Does anyone else find this acceptance of mediocrity disturbing? The reality TV shows, the pop musicians, the movie remakes, when will they end? I say we must unite under one banner for one moment (no matter how brief) to pursue a new threshold of originality until that false idol of J-Lo and all she represents is no more. To hell with bounds of modern congeniality! I will now step down from my soapbox and do what any other rational insomniac would do, sleep. Goodnight you've been a lovely audience.

yeah i don't really give a damn about J Lo. yeah, she's hot, but there are tons of other hot chicks out there. sooooo, umm yeah. but i also can't say i've seen any of her videos, or even listened to her music (if you don't count the 2 week period my cd player was broken & my bus ride was complete HELL because of the music i had to listen to...)

If people liked her just cause she was hot I'd understand, but I think a great deal of people thinks she's talented. It's just slightly disturbing. Still, as you say, why let her waste my time.

& every bus ride is hell for me. i'm surrounded by little kids, some of which constantly stare at me. i want to gouge their eyes out sometimes. then i go to my happy place & i ignore them. but actually it was like...extended hell or something, because a) it was already a hellish place & b) i had to listen to music i absolutely hate(for example.....J Lo!). damn, it hurts just thinking of it....i never want that to happen again.

No, it's Ben assfuck. It looks like J Lo is wearing the pants in this relationship..
Anyway, she IS talented. She can really dance. She can't really sing, but i like her songs. I like this kind of music. Of course i don't listen to it a lot, but sometimes i like her songs- because they are cool.

No, it's real, i like a lot of styles. I like Radiohead, Metallica, Shakira.. (You get the picture). Lately i've been listening to more bands like Queens of the stoneage and ok go, i don't know why..

I don't even think J-Lo is particularly hot. Yeah, she ain't bad on the eyes but there are a lot of girls out there, many of which actually have personalities and even talent, that are far hotter than her. And many of them aren't famous so you or I might not only meet one in RL but also have a chance with such a person.

I agree with that sentiment, though on a simular note I don't think a lot of popular celebrites are that hot. they just don't seem like real people if you understand my meaning.
