Just have to put in my opinion on NM today!
In a word: FAN-FRICKIN-TASTIC!

NM gave a stiff middle finger to his critics today and don't doubt it for a minute.

No sooner than I was wondering what in God's name made Al so nutso than I watch today's show and NM laid it all out for me. Watching today's show unfold was,well-and this is something I have never said about daytime tv ever-SATISFYING.

He completely portrayed the inner turmoil in trying to share a body with Michael. Then flips the script and in his mind Al is plotting ways to get Marcie, yet Michael's lack of tact comes out when he opens his mouth. one minute he is looking at Marcie lovingly the next minute he is yelling and swearing at her.

How about friendly Al says hello to Michael's bro and then in the next scene we r watching two blood brothers sitting next to each other at a bar with miles between them and a bitter history sitting on the middle stool. Hurt feelings, resentment, and abandonment dripping from their body language and their words. This is not Al.
Any1 else see how well ME and NM played off each other? We r truly in for treats ladies.

All i can say is: BRAVO

Well, if I want to spin spin spin my heart out to my naysayer buddies, NM makes it ALL TOO EASY! I've been waiting for the day NM sits next to ME and hold the scene. But OMG.. the man CARRIED IT!!!!!!!!! I remember watching John McBain come to town and thinking, this guy can hold stare with ME, and this guy can't and this girl can't even get her lines right with him, let alone react, and this girl.. and on and on... and then NM walks up and BOOM, it was about whether ME could keep up with NM!!!! NM blew away even my wildest imagination about what he could do! Well, not exactly! I did say "I don't think we've even seen the EXTENT of what NM can do". Was I right or was I right?

Its EXACTLY as you say... is it Al, is it Michael, and watching NM be both... where does an actor learn to do THAT? Yeah, he needed to focus and did it ever pay off. If he never does the chat, I won't complain....

Excerpt I love from Luisa Valenzuela's The Lizard's Tale:
I have my obsessions, I have my fear that drags me along. I’ve been woven into a network of fears, they cross back and forth over my head, they close me in like an enormous web spun by a spider in the reeds, black and precise, malefically beautiful. This net of fears, this geometric pattern, I go on weaving it too without knowing why, without understanding it. I would like to decipher a small end of it at least, a point in the web, so as to go along unwinding the infernal plot, but I’m not permitted that either. Some of my dearest friends have been… running all kinds of risks, and here I am messing around, talking about a spiderweb that entraps me, putting myself into poetic images. The worst thing is that I can glimpse it so clearly, something woven by clusters of black spiders, crouching in wait for their prey, a broad, mile-wise web with us as the prey, and the spiders too.

This is a picture of a wall at the OLTL studio back in 95. My picture is the one on the right, 3rd up from the bottom. These pictures were up at the studio because the stage manager wanted to show everyone who they were talking to online. In those days, with AOL, people at the studio got to talk to us, even the actors would stop by the chat room.

I'm so with you guys on this. I loved the McBain action today, and I've been waiting for it. This episode was so well done on all accounts. The info we got on John was wonderful and I loved how it was all given to us through movement instead of dialogue. The picture of his mom (he has a heart beneath the hard shell) tearing the wallpaper off the wall (maverick) stapling the folders to it (thirst for justice along with a single-minded focus). And the John and Michael interaction was priceless. These two just hit the mark in that scene. I can't wait for more between them. Really, really terrific acting.

I finally saw Michael today. NM managed to make me forget about Al and see Michael. Never doubted for a moment he had the chops to do this, but I love seeing it unfold on screen. And honestly, the writing is pretty confusing here, but NM made the story and the characterization clear. You could see the struggle, and I finally get what a jerk Michael is. Then the kiss- KB/NM kisses are the best! One second he's kissing the crap out of her the next second he's in her face being a creep--love it! Snark's back, edgy NM is back...its what I was hoping for and more.

I love the potential background on this family.
It would be great if they got a 50ish former Hollywood singing starlet to play the Mcbain mother. since she is still alive and they are talking about her and we know at some point Al is supposed to help Michael reconnect with his family it would be insane not to bring her on screen. Again i cannot express how delighted i am with todays developments.

Perhaps this could lead to them developing Marcie's family? Her and Michael/Al have to get married eventually.:flirt That is if Marcie doesn't bash Michael's face in 1st.

Its like planning this great vacation, and then the vacation comes and its better than you could have dreamed, and you think about all the days you looked forward to it, and here you are, in paradise, sipping the cocktails.. or should I say...

:popcorn :cheers

I was all... "OMG, he's playing a JERK" That's gotta be fun. I don't know what's good for his career, but I suppose getting to do anything THIS interesting and layered has to be good... so everyone does GET WHAT THEY WANT. And who gives a hoot who doesn't... I'm gettin mine, he he

Yes, Nathaniel is right... Everyone gets what they want

Popcorn and beer works for me. Unless Sangria is available... :)

I hope they bring Eve McBain (is that her name?) on too. From the convo yesterday I think they're planning to, which would be great. Marcie may still get the mom she's always wanted and needed. I'd prefer it was Gabby, but tptb seem to be determined to kill her off. I hope they change their mind. She's an amazing actress.

I am also disappointed Kathy...
that they r killing off Gabby. She and Marcie have been unbelievable in mourning Al. Hopefully she will get a part somewhere she can be appreciated. Gabs and Marcie really had a great deal more potential.

Did you guys send in letters in support of Fiona?
I call each time she's on, and I even got a postcard for my letter. I dunno if it will help, but Nathaniel said that Fiona Kathy and him are a package, and I do love Fiona... so I had to do my part..
