As the name indicates...this RPG will revolve around Crossroads and New Beginnings.CrossroadsWe would like to see characters come to a 'crossroads' in their lives where important and life changing decisions have to be made. These events can be very personal...i.e. a relationship beginning, ending or changing, or they can be moral or spiritual. Whatever is decided, they should show 'growth' for your character.New BeginningsThis can be any number of items as well and most likely will relate back to the 'crossroads' in your character(s)' life or lives and/or career. They may be starting a new career as teacher or student at Xavier's School for the Gifted or may have been selected to train for the upcoming X-Men team(s). Their 'new beginning' once again may be as simple as establishing a new relationship or changes in an old one.

Magma:
Alison's eyes widened at that. She winked at Mez before moving to grab some food from the frig, at least enough for her and Force(China). She walked over to the table and beckoned to Force.
"Come on China. It's all right. They're friends, remember."
Force:
China was staring at the 'White Queen'(Sorry, forgot her real name) eyes wide and staring. That was someone she had not yet met before and was a bit hesistant to meet.
She had that look about her that scared China at times. A flicker appeared about her body, her own personal force shield(protection appears when she's nervous and stuff).
Hearing Magma, China goes a wide berth staying away from the woman. Something about her made China want to shy away from her.
She sat down next to Magma who passed her some food.
Wanda had followed after Remy, though it was not of her own violation. If she so wanted to, she would have preferred to move in first but well...you know.
Stumbling a little she entered the kitchen noting in passing the number of people she didn't know and plunked down in a chair, her gaze moving around, bordem written plainly on her face.
"Yeah, now we're back." Her gaze went to Gambit. "Thanks Cajun for the trick back!" she called out with a bit of a sneer in her voice.
Karina:
Her trip was e bit more dignified as she left the lift. She was careful to keep her feet as she tended to trip over any little thing if she didn't watch it.
She followed Wanda and Gambit to the kitchen, her glance also taking in all there.
"Hi! I'm..." she called out. After all her carefulness, she did trip...over her own feet. "Ah! Whoops!"

LaTrina gasped as they entered the Transpad and was transported elsewhere. Mrs. Adams always had a hand on her daughter and felt her shock. The hand tightened a bit as LaTrina relaxed realizing her mother was still there.
Then they arrived. But where?
LaTrina looked around and felt kind of homesick. She wasn't home anymore. She wasn't anywhere that she knew of. Her gaze went around, in search of anyone who could help her and saw her mother standing there, gaze wide and looking around.
LaTrina rushed to her mother and threw her arms about her, shuddering violently.
Mrs. Adams enfolded her daughter in a loving embrace wondering where they could be.

"Here take some to hold till the main dishes are served"
"Kia ora," Rawiri said. Kia ora was a "utility expression" in Maori. It could stand for many things. It was used as a greeting, as a farewell, and as thanks. It was similar to the Hebrew word "Shalom". Rawiri grabbed the spoon and took a small bite first. He chewed pensively. His face was unreadable, distant. He swallowed, and then smiled. Again the Moko on his face changed in appearance from the gesture. "This is really good," Rawiri said.
He heard Kevin's comment about Vegetarianism and just shrugged. Rawiri had known some men who were Vegetarians, but it was because they were Buddhists. Rawiri didn't want to ask questions about religion as religion was a taboo topic at the table. He just continued to eat, contentedly. Rawiri was indebted to Mez for the food.
---
Kevin saw the look through Lucas' eyes and pushed to the forefront of the shared mind. "My mother is a vegetarian and my father...he isn't around, so when I was growing up, I grew up vegetarian. It's not that I don't want to eat meat, it's just I can't physically do it. I get sick," Kevin said in way of explanation. He didn't understand the biology of the reaction of his body to meat. He knew there were others like him, people who had been raised vegetarian and as such couldn't eat meat.
Kevin walked past Rawiri and straight to the fridge. Lucas came back into control and grabbed the tossed salad in the container. He rummaged through the drawers for a fork and eventually found one. Lucas sat down near Rawiri and calmly began to eat the salad. It was decent, but the tomatoes were a bit subpar. Lucas didn't mind though, truly good tomatoes were hard to find.

OOC: Sorry guys. For the delay and the shortness, but I can't think of anything.
Jubilee blushed a bit at the woman's.. Emma?.. reply to her shooting off her mouth. She followed the crowd to the kitchen, even though she and Ben just ate. 'Guess that's a man for you... eats everything in sight.'
She sorta stayed in the background while everyone started gathering in the kitchen. Jubilee figured she ought to introduce herself to all these new people, but for now, she was just going to go with the flow and see what happened next.

IC:
"My mother is a vegetarian and my father...he isn't around, so when I was growing up, I grew up vegetarian. It's not that I don't want to eat meat, it's just I can't physically do it. I get sick,"
Mez stopped eating. If he grew vegetarian then that explained it. The young man didn't know any vegetarians as far as he knew. His parents promoted meat. His mother had always told him that women she had worked with fed there sons vegetarian. Very little meat and few veggies, but they didn't really become OIA Football stars on that kind of diet. "My moms is from the country on the North Shore. Small lady, grew up with 3 brothers, my father a big 6'4'', 250-somethin' pound son-of-a-gun from Chicago." Mez took another spoon-ful of Lomi-salmon. Mez's father had wanted his sons to have a protein as the centre of their diet, but his mother had intervened on that. She made her sons ate properly, she was right, Mez was small but he could handle his own well, thanks to proper nutrition.
James had to put his food down he had no choice. He started looking around and there was at least a dozen people in the kitchen. He looked over at Emma and turned his head slyly "I hope you put in a big order" He said, there were going to need a lot more food, for this group. "Looks like we bout to have a Bloc Party over here or somethin'" Said Mez to everyone in the Kitchen.

"My moms is from the country on the North Shore. Small lady, grew up with 3 brothers, my father a big 6'4'', 250-somethin' pound son-of-a-gun from Chicago."
"My mothers..." Proteus stopped himself. He had used the plural. He was only supposed to talk about one of the mothers. It was Kevin who was here to control his gift, not Lucas. Kevin had only Moira. Lucas on the other hand, had a family, had a life. Proteus sighed and took another bite of his salad.
"My mothers are two very different women. One of my mothers is a Nobel Prize winning Geneticist who comes from a line of Scottish noble persons going back to the days when the Scottish language was still dominant among the people of the highlands and not preserved in fringes. My other mother is a nice enough woman, if on the short side. I know nothing of my first mother's husband, only that he and my mother did not have the happiest of all marriages. If that one of my mothers had been pro-choice, chances are we wouldn't be having this conversation. My other father is a nice man, smoker though," Proteus spoke. It was the first time he had opnely divulged his duel existance. It would confuse them to be sure. It felt better now that it was in the open. He didn't have to hide his true status any longer.
---
Rawiri just ate the salmon and listened. The boy with Scottish accent was complex to say the least. Rawiri wasn't going to make any judgements, but the home dynamic sounded odd to be certain. Rawiri decided not to ask though, it would be a bad idea indeed if he asked.
Rawiri just turned his head down in the silence that followed Proteus' long announcement. This house seemed to be filled with stories, all of them long and complicated, each containing a small fragment of darkness. Rawiri was the "normal" one, and he had facial tattoos.
Quote:"Of course, I aim to please" she said with an ironic lift of her eyebrow.
~I no’ be doubtin’ dat f’r a secon’,~ he thought back towards her, leaning back against the counter and enjoying the taste of his own cup of coffee. Oh, how good that felt after all he had just been through.
He watched the others in the room, but made no attempt to react to anything that was said, red-on-black eyes soon falling on the elegant form of The White Queen again, “De name’s Gambit, Cheri, an’ do I be gettin’ de privilege t’ be callin’ yo’ by anytin’?” he asked.
Quote:"Yeah, now we're back." Her gaze went to Gambit. "Thanks Cajun for the trick back!" she called out with a bit of a sneer in her voice.
This time, Remy Etienne LeBeau did not hold back his need to roll his eyes, nor the need to voice his anger towards the Scarlet Witch. Taking one step forward, his coffee cup now sitting on the bench behind him, he said, “Yo’ be listnen’ t’ be, yo’ ungrateful little gosse, I be riskin’ mah life t’ be keepin’ yo’ safe, an’ yo’ be givin’ me lip about’ it from de beginin’. If yo’ be hatin’ dis place, an’ us so much, den why don’ yo’ jus’ be leavin’?” and with that said, eyes narrowed dangerously, Remy walked out of the room.
~L'ingrat, rancunier peu…~ he thought, the words trailing off before he went somewhere he shouldn’t be going. So, maybe that was a little too harsh, but someone had to pull the smart mouthed girl into line.
“Oooh, crap!” Pyro cried, hitting the ground hard at the impact, causing Remy’s head to snap up, eyes moving to the flame manipulator’s form. “Would you watch where ya goin’, Remy!” the teen admonished.
“I be sorry, Mon’ami,” Remy said, moving to help him up.
“Oh, no big, that’s what I am here for, to be knocked over by people I hardly even know.”
Gambit just looked at him. John grinned. “Nah, really, it’s no problem, just, what’s up, and don’t tell me nothing, I have a pregnant wife, I know when something is wrong just by looking at a person.”
A small smirk graced the Southerner’s lips, “It jus’ be a certain someone dat be gettin’ und’r mah nerves,” he simply said, brushing off any further information.
“Come out and play basketball with me,” John suggested, “I’m hoping Mana and Skye will find me there later so we‘ll be able to play two on two then..." his words trailed off, "Okay, maybe not two on two, cos, well, Skye's most likely not in any shape or form to be playing sports, but, ya know, one on one might take ya mind off whatever it is for a while.”
The Cajun thought about it for a couple seconds, nodding, “Yeah, jus’ be lettin’ me go get chang’d.” he agreed. “I no’ exactly be dress’d f’r vig'rous exercise.”
John grinned, “Okay, see ya there then.”
OOC: French Translations: Gosse = brat
L'ingrat, rancunier peu...! = The ungrateful, spiteful little...
Ben tried some of the Lomi salmon, finding it to be quite good. "This is delicious, Mez," he said before the conversation moved to the subject of family. The Scottish one spoke of having two sets of parents, which was something Ben couldn't even begin to understand. "My family situation is, to say the least, complicated," Ben started. "My parents are dead from when I first manifested one of my powers, and my brother seems to want me dead after our last meeting. My extended family I haven't seen since my parents funeral five years ago, and they seemed to want nothing to do with me, either," he finished between bites of Lomi salmon. It wasn't the easiest thing to talk about, but it did feel good to have it our in the open to a degree, Ben decided.

WARNING: MINOR LANGUAGE My mothers..." Proteus stopped himself. He had used the plural. He was only supposed to talk about one of the mothers. It was Kevin who was here to control his gift, not Lucas. Kevin had only Moira. Lucas on the other hand, had a family, had a life. Proteus sighed and took another bite of his salad.

It was the first time he had openly divulged his duel existence. It would confuse them to be sure. It felt better now that it was in the open. He didn't have to hide his true status any longer.[/i]
Mez wondered what was up with Proteus. The young man just guessed his parent's were divorced or something. A lot of things happen like that, marriages breaking down, Mez had seen it too many times. The Hydrokinetic didn't have a clue that Proteus was actually two people in one. "Yeah well my mama could beat yo mama any day." Mez said with a smile, his voice coming off with a humorous tone.
His attention was diverted slightly as Gambit left the room in a fit over a young woman's comment. A lot of the people in the room looked pretty tired and probably hungry. Mez himself was already eating. Mez hoped it wouldn't be much longer before the food arrived.
A lot of people had been through a lot. That’s what it sounded like. Mez didn't really expect everyone to be so open about the darker things of their pasts. Mez figured if everyone else was sharing he might as well too. "Me an' my Pops..." Mez had to stop in-order to figure out what exactly to say. "My pops used to beat the crap out of me." Mez said flatly, his voice was calm like it really wasn't all that serious. "Looking back now I think that I actually benefited from it." Mez said. "Although I didn't think that at the time. I ain't gonna lie to you, I've done some not-so-good things in my life." He said. "And if he didn't raise the way he did then I would either be in prison or dead in the ground." Said Mez between mouthfuls of Lomi-salmon. "My father and I just recently started doing things together. Getting into Father=Son Competitions...we didn't take 1st Place but we do have the trophy in our possession"
"I think my parent's knew I was a mutant when I was born. And I never really was able to keep any secret from them. Kind of like how my parent's knew I was secretly meeting with the Marine Recruiter. Pops had always told me that if I joined the Marines he'd find me and whoop my ass, sure enough when I joined he found me and slapped the black off me." Mez chuckled at the last part, remembering the whole host of other things that happened when he joined. The fight wasn't all too funny, he came out of the incident with several fractured ribs and missing teeth. "My father knew the kind of life that was ahead, no matter what choices I made he knew that it was going to be rough, and he wanted me to be tougher." He shrugged that’s just how he figured it, he didn't like it but on some level he understood it, not something he liked.

"Yeah well my mama could beat yo mama any day."
"You've never met Moira," Kevin dominated the shared body. It was the truth. You didn't know how strong a woman Moira was until you met her. It was the same type of strength that enabled Kevin to continue the symbiosis instead of slipping into the darkness. Although Kevin was legally a MacTaggert, he in spirit was a Kinross. It was the silent strength of his mother's family that Kevin admired.
"Ouch," Proteus said out of sympathy. He could understand. Lucas' family didn't understand why their "son" had begun to act strangely or why Dr. MacTaggert had advised "boarding school" in America. The early days of the symbiosis had been the most confusing. In the time when the psyches were getting acclimated to each other, there had been much anger directed the "MacTaggert boy" from Lucas' family.
"I think my parent's knew I was a mutant when I was born. And I never really was able to keep any secret from them. Kind of like how my parent's knew I was secretly meeting with the Marine Recruiter. Pops had always told me that if I joined the Marines he'd find me and whoop my ass, sure enough when I joined he found me and slapped the black off me." He shrugged thats just how he figured it, he didn't like it but on some level he understood it, not something he liked.
"One of our mothers, didn't recognize the signs of the mutation or its consequence. We were separate once, two beings, two different wholes. You may think that I am insane, but I will demonstrate to you that I am not," Proteus voiced. Without warning one of Proteus' hands shot out and touched the back of Rawiri's skull. Rawiri let out a short curse in Maori and his eyes rolled back. The shared body closed its eyes and remained calm. The shared body removed the fingers from the back of Rawiri's neck and then Rawiri's eyes rolled back down
Inside Rawiri's mind, Kevin had taken over, the Maori could not fight it. The attack was sudden, and powerful. Kevin was now in every aspect of his body. Rawiri wondered how he knew this, but he didn't question, couldn't question. Rawiri observed in horror as he heard his own voice speak words that were not his own.
"We are the two halves which form Proteus, two minds in one body," Rawiri's body and Kevin's body spoke at the same time, in stereo as it were. "For as intelligent as the Maori is, I doubt that he has learned this language," Rawiri's body said in Scottish. How had his body made that sound. What in the name of the Gods of his ancestors was going on.

Emma watched the steady stream of people enter the kitchen, obviously back from a mission of some sort. Use a light mind sweep she was able to ascertain their state pf ,mind and current emotions towards each other and themselves. There was a huge variety of mutants and personalities in the room, but this was the life blood of the X-Men and she found it very encouraging.
She watched the confrontation between Gambit and the young woman carefully, and just as the Cajun left she sent a thought into his mind, answering his question "Emma Frost", it was a simple curt thought, but now they both knew who the other was. Gambit, his reputation preceded itself, especially from infrequent discussions with Charles.
The White Queen wasn't particularly interested in the student’s discussion until she felt something very wrong happening between the Scottish boy and the tattooed Maori. Her head snapped around, cold blue eyes practically sparking with anger, she focused on him with completely as she spoke. "Remove yourself immediately" her voice was dripping with cold fury as she walked towards him "You have no place in that boys mind. Never let me catch you using your powers on another student like that again" she added speaking directly into his mind.

[ooc: Taking the professor in hand to get him into the game, per Admin Staff... ]
"Kevin!" Professor Xavier's stern voice rang out, just as he entered the kitchen area to meet the plethora of new students to the Institute and just in time to catch Proteus' abduction of another student's mind and body. "That is inexcusable! Do as Miss Frost says, release him at once."
Charles scanned the room of new faces, mentally matching names with those faces and their special gifts or talents. Then his eyes drifted to the more familiar faces of his Xmen trainees. Looking to Gambit and the others he welcomed them home. "It is good to see you all home safely," he acknowledged with sincere affection for his young team.
"As for the rest of you," he stated, turning his attention back to the group of new arrivals, "I do believe it is about time that we conduct an orientation session. It would appear that an overview of what is expected in terms of behaviour and manners, as well as class schedules and rules of this institute, are in order."
"My name is Charles Xavier, Headmaster of the Xavier Institute. This is Emma Frost, one of the teachers here in our school," he explained for those who might not know, then he turned to Emma. "Miss Frost, if you would be so kind as to schedule a session in the morning for orientation... of ALL new students. Mandatory. No one is exempt from attending," the professor emphasized as he locked eyes with each, "I'd also like as many of the staff to attend as can be assembled. I'm aware that a few of them are away on personal business, but Dr. Chase has returned," he informed Emma, "and I believe Logan is in his room, resting. Please be sure that he attends..." With a polite nod to the room in general, Professor Xavier then excused himself for the evening, "In the morning then... Miss Frost, I leave them in your capable hands."
He bid them all a good evening and turned his wheelchair around. Exiting the room with a quiet grace, even for a man bound to a wheelchair, he was gone from their sight as quickly and as silently as he'd appeared. Steering his chair down the hallway toward the elevator, he headed for his private quarters on the second floor.

Emma heard the voice of the Professor cutting through the general rabble in the Kitchen, immediately feeling the authority and strength of his presence. "Thank you Charles" she sent the thought firmly into his mind. He would know what the gratitude was for.
Once the head teacher had left the room, Emma moved to face the students "As you've just heard from the Professor, there will be an orientation for ALL students and faculty at 9.00am tomorrow morning. If anyone feels that they don’t need to attend, I will personally come and persuade you otherwise.”
She was about to continue when the young mutant started to speak to her and Charles. Anger flooded into her once again and for once a faint pink flush touched her pale cheeks, her temper was near to snapping but she contained herself as she turned back to the boy.
“Child, if everyone thought the way that you did, the world would be the worse for it. If I was to kill someone, would you then think that it was okay for you to do the same?” she demanded, eyes flashing angrily ”
Do you truly believe that any teacher here is proud of the darkness in their past? That is why we teach you to have respect for others and your power, as a student you NEVER use your power against another student, especially powers as invasive as yours. If you find that problematic then I suggest you learn quickly. And while you are learning that, then perhaps you would be so kind as to cure the intolerable rudeness and insolence you seem to have learned from somewhere.” Emma’s voice was as cool and level as Kevin’s but with more authority. She turned to the other students “And this goes for all of you, one of the basic rules here is respect for your powers and that of fellow students. It is inexcusable.” she said coldly, and then dismissing the student from her mind she carried on "As I said before, orientation at 9.00am and in a few minutes there should be a large amount of Italian food arriving for you all to eat, I hope you enjoy it" she finished, resuming her seat at the breakfast bar.
OOC: Emma's just jumped right in there, I hope the Professor comes along to back her up.
Who: Shatterstar With: Everyone already in and entering the kitchen When: Late afternoon(?) Where: The kitchen
Everything happened so quickly that Ben had hardly realized it. One second, the Scottish boy was talking about his past when he suddenly shot his hand out and grabbed the back of the head of the Maori.
Quote:"We are the two halves which form Proteus, two minds in one body," Rawiri's body and Kevin's body spoke at the same time, in stereo as it were. "For as intelligent as the Maori is, I doubt that he has learned this language," Rawiri's body said in Scottish
The rather striking blonde woman quickly intervened, obviously furious with this 'Proteus' that had apparently taken over the Maori's body. Ben was too shocked for words, his mouth hanging open slightly as everything happened seemingly all at once.
Quote:"Remove yourself immediately" her voice was dripping with cold fury as she walked towards him.
Almost immediately therafter, a bald man whom Ben recognized as Professor Charles Xavier enterd the kitchen in a whellchair, obviously disappointed with the Scottish boy.
Quote:"Kevin!" Professor Xavier's stern voice rang out, just as he entered the kitchen area to meet the plethora of new students to the Institute and just in time to catch Proteus' abduction of another student's mind and body. "That is inexcusable! Do as Miss Frost says, release him at once."
The Professor then welcomed back some of the others in the room before insisting on having a formal orientation session the next morning at nine o'clock, making the point that it would be mandatory for all new students before leaving the room, and everyone in it to Miss Frost, the blonde woman from earlier. She told all the new students in the room that she would personally persuade anyone who thought they didn't need to attend the next morning's orientation.
Ben tried to find Jubilee in the kitchen as Miss Frost disciplined the young Scott, moving warily about the room trying not to step on other's feet or inadvertantly knock them over. As he maneuvered through the throng of people, Miss Frost addressed the entire room once again.
Quote:“And this goes for all of you, one of the basic rules here is respect for your powers and that of fellow students. Ben made it to Jubilee after Miss Frost finished. "Jubilee," he began, softly, "I was wondering if you'd like to hang out later on, after the food arrives," he said with an almost-sheepish grin.

Re: Kitchen Capers (Mez, Emma, Magma, etc)
WARNING: Minor Religious References
Who: Mez With: Everyone in the Kitchen When: Late Afternoon (Exact time unknown) Where: The Kitchen
Mez just sat and listend absorbing the stories people were sharing. The young man became just a little bit more intrigued when Proteus started discussing the facts about his dual personalities, it all was quite shocking and confusing to Mez. He didn't know how that was possible and probably didn't want to know. Last thing he wanted to do was share his body with another dude, for the rest of his life. Mez's own problems were enough for him.
It seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves and the Lomi-salmon up until Kevin stuck his hand in Rawiri's brain. Mez had heard of possessions of the soul and stuff and the scene he was seeing reminded him of the Exorcist. "Jesus!" Mez said his stool falling on the ground when he stood up. The voices of the different people collided as Mez felt a slight energy from Emma, the cold glare on her face told Mez everything he needed to know. Mez's fist clinched up slightly.
Things returned to normal, when Professor Xavier came in. But still Mez could feel the energy radiating in the room probably from all the powerful psychics in the room. Everything going made the hair on the back of Mez's stick up. The young man had no choice but to stand still, arms folded across his chest as Xavier broke it down simple for Proteus and everyone in the room, seems Mez had an appointment in the morning and he'd have to go. Things got progressively worse for Proteus. Mez wondered if he really was paying attention. "Its when you believe you can commit evil so easily that you become it, and like the saying goes, "You advise evil and you die by it"' Mez thought.
Anger and power lingered in Frost's voice "Yes ma'am" Mez said to Emma, she was cutting to business and Mez had to get rid of the informality in his voice and posture.
Summary: Mez just tries to absorb whats going on and follow what he's told (what's best). Tags: Everyone in the Kitchen

Emma was still in the kitchen listening to the disturbance caused by Proteus' possession of the other boy when Charles' message reached her ears. ~I'll be there right away~ she replied quickly, standing up and picking up her handbag. "There is something I need to attend to outside, I'll leave some money here for the food. You children play nicely now. I'll be keeping an eye on you all" she told them as she strode quickly from the room, making her way outside to the patio.
She saw Gambit standing near the table with three people sitting around it; a dark haired girl, a woman wearing all black and a man she vaguely recognised as Dr Chase. "What's all the commotion about then?" she said, reaching out to brush the mind of the brunette woman and receiving a flash of confusing images and static. "Who is the Looney Toon here?" she asked indicating to the woman with a vague gesture of her hand.
Summary: Emma arrives on the scene.

Stacy's eyes were slightly reddened from crying and sharing her sordid tale to Mana. In fact, despite the scales on her face, she looked rather ragged and worn; it was the life of a prostiute, to say the least. But that chapter of her life had ended, and she had begun a new one. This one would have to entitled: From Brothel to Books, one woman's journey from a life of sex to a life of education.
Who knew what she could accomplish? She could be a lawyer! Or a doctor! Or an anchorwoman...oh who the hell was she kidding? She looked like a snake...she could be a miner or perhaps a sewer inspector. Making her way up from the basement, she found herself feeling better...but there was still the pain of knowing her appearance would hinder her and the loud grumbling in her stomach. Making her way up with Mana in tow, she smiled. "I ain' bin this hungry since they had a food shortage at X-Ranch. Let me tell ya, honey, they ain' never relied on tha' providor again."
Laughing, she made her way into the kitchen to find Mez STILL talking, which pissed her off greatly. But she was almost...relieved to see him. Smirking, she folded her arms. "Hey, y' promised ta show me some of tha' Hawiian cookin', babe. Ya still good on the offer?" And there were some other kids...but hell, she wasn't all that interested.
What Stacy needed now was some food...because if she didn't eat soon, they'd have one comatose hooker on their hands. And that was nothing something that anyone looked forward too.
His entrance into the kitchen was a bit silent as Chamber had no way of communicating except through telepathy. The speaking voice(or mental, whichever) of Emma Frost made him wince.
Powerful voice she had there? ran through his mind. His 'eyes' went to Gambit as he moved off then to Wanda. <What's with her?> he thought.
With a little shrug, he moved off to stand before Emma Frost.
*Excuse me, the name's Chamber. And you would be...?*
He reached up to cover his ruined mouth securely. No telling what she might think of it.
Re: Kitchen Capers (Mez, Emma, Magma, etc)Who: Mez
With: Stace, and everyone else in the kitchen
Where: Kitchen
Mez had went back to eating when Emma left the room for some other business. Curious the young man went to pick up the money she had left. "That woman's a teacher?" Mez said flipping through, most teachers were poor as heck, he wondered how she really did make money. He'd probably never ask her though. "Jeez" Mez said, folding up the money and putting it in his pocket.
When James went back to sit down he turned around to Stace upon hearing her voice.
Smirking, she folded her arms. "Hey, y' promised ta show me some of tha' Hawiian cookin', babe. Ya still good on the offer?"
"Heck yeah I am" Mez still wondered how he actually got talked into not cooking in the first place. But cooking right now seemed to be a little unnecessary with plethora of Italian food, soon on its way to the door. "But. If you want me to cook for you it'd have to be another time, there's some Italian food that's going to be here in a few minutes" Mez said. "But if you'd like something to keep your stomach busy till than I got some Lomi-salmon right here you can have." He pointed over to the bowl.
Summary: Mez picks up the money Emma left and talks to Stacy about food. He offers some of the Lomi-salmon until the Italian food arrives.

OOC: I'm going to continue this kind of in the "Taken under his Wing" thread
Background: Many, many years ago, Charles Francis Xavier established Xavier's School for the Gifted. Also, seeing other Mutants misusing and abusing their powers, he created the first generation of the X-Men.This original team was trained and lead by an old friend of his...Logan, aka Wolverine. Logan's co-leader was a young woman and student named Ororo Munroe, aka Storm. Once the team was trained and fielded on active missions, they took on the additional responsibility of teaching and helping new Mutants deal with their powers. On one horrible night, the X-Men were fielded to stop a particularly powerful Mutant and his 'gang'. The 'intelligence' received on this Mutant and his cohorts was sketchy and actually turned out to be a set-up to entrap the X-Men and take them captive. In the ensuing melee', 'things' happened and a number of the team were killed outright or severely injured. After making sure his remaining team-mates were going to be okay, Logan left. Xavier has not, to current time, explained his absence or even whether or not he survived.Current Time/Game Time: Almost seven years later, as Human/Mutant incidents are on the rise, Xavier once again sees a need for a Mutant 'police force'. He sees this new X-Men team as a force for good and a way to help peacefully integrate the rapidly emerging Mutant society with the established Human society. To this end, he has contacted Logan and asked him to 'come home' and train his 'new' team.
Logan has reluctantly agreed. Can shadows from their past be put aside for the good of the new X-Men? How will the surviving members of the original team react and what will they do as 'truths' are learned about that disastrous night?Note: We want the new X-Men to include younger versions of the old familiar characters such as Scott, Jean, Beast etc...as well as many of the OCC’s and other Canon characters that are available. Please ask the Staff BEFORE stating or establishing that your character was one of the old, now disbanded, original X-Men.
