Las Vegas (Vanessa & Josh's new show)
I figured since both Vanessa and Josh are both major halves of 2 of the classic couples in this forum (S&B and L&G) That this would be the best place to put a Las Vegas thread.
What do you think about the show?
I think the cast is stong with the exception of the model turned actress girl Melissa something (don't remember her last name) lol. I really like Josh's character and Vanessa as Sam I just wish she was on more!! She's half the reason why I'm even watching. I don't know how the ratings have been or anything and even though I like the show I think they are going to have to step up the writing or the plot or something for the show to stick around all season. Something doesn't quite completely grab me yet and I can't quite put my finger on it.
Oh and Vanessa's hair, don't get me wrong, I like it. Nothing ever looks bad on Vanessa, it's just I LOVE her dark hair. I think it makes her look more exotic and there are so many blondes on TV anyway it seems, I wish they would let her go back to dark. I don't know if it is a character choice or not but that's how I feel. LOL

The show will be sticking around for the whole season, I guess something grabbed the critics and everyone in the higher ups it was announced a few days ago that it was picked up for a full 22 ep. season. I've read nothing but great reviews I, personally love it, so does my mother, I like the writing, how it's not really a comedy but sometimes it's really funny... a dramity if you will, lol. I just like it because it's fast pased. But I agree Vanessa needs to be on a LOT more.

YAY I am glad it has gotten picked up. Don't get me wrong, I like the show and I want it to stick around, I even have a feeling it's growing on me lol. It's funny with some shows I'm addicted from the first episode I see and then others it takes me a while. I don't think I have ever loved a show so completely and immediately as with Alias though. That show has had me from the get go like no other.

I agree with you guys. I am actually enjoying the show. Although I was kind of hesitant in the beginning (the first episode that is) because like you Dee, it didn't grab my attention at first, but because Vanessa and Josh were in it, I gave it a try, and it is actually growing on me too. I really like all the glitz and glam of Vegas and enjoy the "security and cheating scandals" of the plots. I really enjoyed the last episode, especially the storyline with Nessa. (I really like her character and her, even though I don't know who she is)
I love all the characters, but wish Vanessa "Sam" was on more too. I also agree with you Dee, I really want Vanessa's hair back to normal. The blond just doesn't match her, and I don't know if it's the makeup or what, but she looks washed out or something. I much perfer her dark beauty. Wouldn't it be great if Maurice guest starred as her love interest or an old flame or something, now that would be a storyline I wouldn't miss!
I don't know about you guys, but I want Danny and Mary together because it reminds me of Liason because they have a strong friendship background.
And I am very glad that the show got picked up for the season, thanks for the info "loseyou"

ooh yeah, I want Mary and Danny together too. Although Sam and Danny could be interesting too. I just like the friends to loves relationship thing, I can't wait until Monday's ep, it looks like something might happen there (with Mary and Danny), and I really like Nikki Cox.
BTW, about Vanessa's hair, I saw her on The Sharon Osborne show and she says she get's bored a lot so she changes the color, but in the interview she had gone back dark just had a few blonde hilights, but MUCH better than the blonde blonde, so yay for the dark hair coming back! lol.

I think Danny and Sam could be very interesting! although I like Mary too I just hope we get to see a little more of Sam.

It was insane, lol. They had Sharon plus this guest host, some blonde chick named Jillian, apparently she's on 5 shows, I've never seen her before... (like news type shows, maybe she's LA local) anyway, she kind of annoyed me because she kept interupting Vanessa the whole time, but watching the 3 of them, Vanessa, Sharon and Jillian, was like watching this girl frest party they really didn't talk very much about Vegas, they talked about Hair, Shoes, Dating in LA, Vanessa's Son, and some other random stuff, but it was really funny to watch. They found out that they were all Libra's so they did the Libra dance, lol.

I love her dark hair. I caught the repeat of her on Carson Daily's show last night. I don't know exactly what it is but that guy rubs me the wrong way. I thought last nights Las Vegas was exceptionally good. I'm looking forward to next week
