Lionsgate Home Entertainment update
Lionsgate Home Entertainment sent over the cover art for two of its December titles: A DEAD CALLING (coming December 12) and SILENT SCREAM (out December 5). The former, which reteams DEVIL’S REJECTS stars Leslie Easterbrook, Sid Haig and Bill Moseley, with Alexandra (DEAD END) Holden as the heroine, will be presented in 16x9-enhanced widescreen with 5.1 Surround audio, plus commentary by director Michael Feifer and a still gallery. For the record, this film is no relation to the announced DEAD CALLING movie intended to reteam P.J. Soles, Charles Cyphers, Ellie Cornell and numerous other alumni of the HALLOWEEN film series - just as the new SILENT SCREAM has no connection to the 1980 slasher of the same title. This one is a Michigan-lensed killer-in-the-woods flick lensed under the title THE RETREAT by writer/directors Matt Cantu and Lance Kawas; it’ll be presented in widescreen with Dolby Digital sound and no significant extras. Both discs will retail for $26.98.
