Local Chapters
I was so excited. I sent out an email to my local loop about our add in the RWR. I got one response, note it one. From a friend at that. Then that friend sends out an email about her remodeled website and gets 6 replies within a half hour. Nobody takes me seriously. Nobody!
I swear, I'm not going to be on the board next year. I do all this work for the board and for the conference, and they can't even take time to congratulate me.
Re: Local Chapters
I know how you feel. I didn't even go to my meeting last month. And if I had, I probably wouldn't have mentioned it, even though they dedicate time for everyone to share good writing news. I mean, people stand up and tell us they just sold a greeting card....
Have you sent your good reviews to your group? Is that allowed? Don't give up. Take yourself seriously. When people see that you do and that you're a professional, they'll respect you for it.

Ouch, Shelli.
Don't give up, darlin'. Keep getting up their noses about your good news. There are bound to be people in the chapter who won't just brush by.
My chapter's great about this kind of thing. I wish everyone's was.
