No, I loved all of em and now I'm older and have watched them a lot and see stuff in them I really admire and want to emulate in my life. There's more to life then gals! They is an imprtant part tho, but I like the respect in the movies.
Yeah I go to school but it's SUMMER VACATION! YEAH!!!!!!!! So I got time to swandive into my interest in Lotr.
Anywho, I'm glad to be here and to meet you people and hope we can talk about stuff. Like, why should I read the books, and what order should I read them in to get the most of them since I got time. Hey only partime job, and so lets TALK!!!!!!
Cool sight here.
added: Hey, got a question. Wht's all this rpg stuff? I wanna try that. I know what it is, never got up to do it. Show me how.
Welcome Mangyranger/Strider! This is a good place for you to come for answers and just discussion, and since we're a growing but new board, you can get in on things before it's big (which we hope it will become).
I'd like to ask you what it was about the movies that you most enjoyed, and will ask that you go down to the movies part of the board--we have this place divided into sections, as I see you found when you wrote your question about how to say something in Sindarin.
I'd also like to ask you what attracted you to this board? And to once again say a hearty Welcome! Have fun here, and don't hesitate to start threads!
Re: Mangyranger
Hello Mangyrangerm welcome to the board.
Ah.. which question to answer first? Uhm... The books. The books are probably best read in the order they were written in, meaning starting with the Hobbit (it's a children's book, so the style is somewhat different from the LOTR, then the Lord of the Rings Triology, then the Silmarillion, and if you are really into it the Unfinished tales.
Roleplaying... ah, let's go into the roleplaying section for that. Is there anything that you would like to play in particular?
