Marcie's Photo
What's up with a photo of her and her ghost... isn't that what I saw?
And whipped? Yeah, did you SEE how that man LOOKS at Marcie? He LOVES that he can make her SMILE, just standing there...
Hmm.. sounds familiar. NM might as well be smiling at all his female fans the way were all swooning over Al smiling at Marcie that way.

Ran across article I wrote for online rag that never took hold, while taking inventory of disks of saved things over the years. Excerpt:
"Someone once told me in the OLTL chatroom that they don't miss a day of OLTL because a day without OLTL could feel like a cold day without putting on their warm fuzzy slippers. What did this fan mean? Perhaps she was referring to watching Carlotta doing quite a job "cleaning up" at the poker table, listening to Smokey Robinson put out the old school jams. Or maybe this fan meant that watching an intense moment on our favorite soap listening to a dramatic fluty piece of music in the background can make us sense a fresh and innocent feeling in the air. Well, this is a soap OPERA after all.
I've heard it said that OLTL can feel like the rain that pours or the lightening that crashes, as the band, Live, would sing. Whether we're being provoked to tears while watching Max grieve for Luna with their song "I Still Believe in You" playing... or to blows hearing the sound of Delores O'Riordan's voice (of the Cranberries) reverberating "What's in Your Head" from "Zombie" reverberating throughout Rodi's as Blair blasts Max for dirty dealing, OLTL has been hitting the mark for awhile now...
Perhaps some of the most gripping music selections is yet to come for those of us who are romantics. My personal recommendation is to keep an ear open to Natalie Merchant's introspective songs that have been floating around Llanview. I dedicate "Wonder" to baby Starr."
i must have missed something. I saw Marcie looking at photos w/ carlotta. I didn't notice them showing pics w/ Marcie and Al. When was this?

the very last scene
its also when Joe gets the call from Rex's friend posing as a nurse from the hospital. She spills the beans about Jen's miscarriage.
I put that photo on pause and studied it, and its not NM, but I think its Michael. Just spec on my part, but I believe the new guy must be close in looks to NM. It would only make sense, and I can see Marcie looking at Michael when he's the different character (before NM takes over) and she does a double take, and gets rattled. I can envision over time Al and Michael trading places in the photo, while Al becomes blurry and fades while Michael's image becomes sharper.
Also, what I noticed about the photo is that Al is very close to touching her, but he can't touch her. And Al is also bathed in white light, it looks like an overexposure, but I'm sure its meant to be his "heavenly aura" (and yes, I'm trying to type that without snickering).
I'm glad their working in these little details and hints...like Al mentioning that he might be able to work out being with Marcie. Keeps me interested, of course just seeing NM on the screen keeps me interested.
And yes, his eyebrows gave the best performance of the day.

Marcie: Gosh, I love it when fellas do big, manly stuff.
Al: Yeah, well I never shy away from an opportunity to look studly.

Why do you think I called my fan fiction "Al Heaven"? Well, I did plan more heavenly outings but seeing as Al fell for one true lady, I couldn't see pimping him out to all the females in Llanview... But seriously, the aura thing is cool, and NM is playing off it as if he saw it himself... there's this glow that comes off him that isn't even physical. Very cool for a guy to tap into that state of dreaminess, and still come off extremely male. I love the scene with Fiona when he's trying to get his mom to be happy, and he says something about not being good at this stuff, reminding us he's not some perfect being, but our Al... OUR Al, a young man afterall, with faults and quirks, and real... despite the current state of his physical handicap.
