You know, I still haven't seen The Matrix. Shame on me. Of course, I also haven't seen the "new" LoTR movie, and when Orlando Bloom can't lure me to the theatre, I know I'm a hopeless case. Glenda

Is it better than the first? I haven't had time to watch it yet.  Quote: What lured me to the movie was watching Gollum.  I'm easily amazed by special effects.

LOL! Sheryll, you can keep Gollum, I'll stick with Legolas.  The reviewers seem to think that Matrix 2 is better than the original. Either way, the clothes look good.  Glenda

I've just seen Matrix Reloaded and I have to say that it was very disapointing. For many reasons.... 1. A very messy film with an over-complicated plot which they had to keep explaining all the way through. 2. Unsympathetic main characters (was it just me or were the computer programs, i.e. the Oracle, Merovingian etc. more interesting with better personalities than the humans!). 3. Over-long fight scenes with no real sense of drama as you knew that Neo would win. 4. The least erotic sex scene I have ever seen!  Good special effects though!

Well i have my own theories about why the Oracle, et. al are seemingly more interesting... I think Zion is the Matrix fail safe and basically a Matrix within a Matrix... the humans are supposed to be less interesting or it may be too obvious that they are not humans at all

I have heard nothing but good things about the Matrix, I can't wait till its out on video and I can rent it...I can taste the popcorn already....hmmmm, yummy!

I don't know if it's because I'm in England, but all the reviews I've seen are really bad. It's not as bad as the reviews say, but still disapointing. I won't be renting it, but then I still reckon everyone should see it, just to get their own opinion on it.

i went to the movies for it. it is interesting. but to me -- someone into tao ideas, it just doesn't mean much. in fact, the key to the answer is that there's no need to understand.
