Ahhh, the other post was getting a little long, so I thought I'd start a new one in celebration of the new videos I'm starting on the website! Matthew Ashford and Missy Reeves Interview Videos! I decided to do something a little different for this weeks updates to the video clips page on The Quiet Corner. Check it out! ------------------------------------------------------ Newest Update - August 23rd: Interviews & Special Moments Matthew And Missy Interview From September 28, 1991! Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves gave a splendid interview for the fans in a nice quiet room. It's about a half hour long, so I had to lower the quality a little when converting over these videos. It's still better than what it looked like when I posted it on YouTube though, LOL! Oh, but I would have loved to post these at their highest quality for you... Matthew And Christina Singing These wonderful clips of Matthew and Christina came from a video that's labeled as "Beverly Garland Hotel, Hollywood California" and it's dated from May 26, 1991. These clips are simply precious to any Matthew Ashford fan. If you ever wondered what Matt sounds like outside of singing, "Wonderful, Wonderful..." though that was an awful cute moment on Days... Here it is! Matthew On Pure Soap (E!) While this was certainly not the happiest day in Matthew's life, nor was it a bright day for Jack Deveraux fans, this interview is well worth watching. This interview takes place the day after his final episode on Days of Our Lives when he left the series during his first run as Jack Deveraux in 1993. Side burns and all--this was the decade of 90210 after all--he's utterly adorable to look at. It's ready!!! Well, it feels like it took just about half of forever to do today, but part 5 of the Beverly Garland fan event with the Days cast from 1991 is finally ready on You Tube. I'm so excited, because at this point the video is really getting into some funny stuff. Here is the write-up for you: Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux) Fan Club Event Pt 5 Days of Our Lives Fan Event Pt.5 -- May 26, 1991 After showing the audience his clip of bungee jumping in the last video, Matt starts describing his experience in very funny detail. Everyone is starting to get a little giddy at this point as a raffle begins and Matt changes his tie and unbuttons his jacket. He and Johnnie Corelli start having a little fun playing with their equipment! LOL! The first raffle is for his Win, Lose or Draw picture that artist on the show created. Gregory from Alamania comes up to draw for the next prize winner. Gregory has some hilarious moments talking about his first experiences meeting Matt in some of his various costumes from that time period. They begin reading from a script in which Matt is Jack and Gregory plays the part of Jennifer which is just absolutely priceless! The script goes on to a scene involving Kimberley and Lawrence Alamain. Part 6 of the Matthew Ashford Fan Event video is now available on Youtube! Here is the write up for this newest portion: Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux) Fan Club Event Pt 6 Days of Our Lives Fan Event Pt.6 -- May 26, 1991 Matthew Ashford begins with his impersonation of Michael Sabatino (Lawrence) in preparation for a scene on Days. He and Gregory get closer as they act out a scene from the show of Lawrence and Kimberley in his guest bedroom. He warmly welcomes the woman who wins the script they are reading from. George Jenesky (Nick) comes up to help him dish out another prize which is his program from the Soap Opera Digest awards from when he won. They are flipping through the leaflet looking for Matt's picture in it when Matt says, "Hey, that's me... A Martinez (Cruz, Santa Barbara) right there..." Matt and George move on to reading from a script together from June 10th, 1991. They're playing a scene between Dr. Ralph, Matt as Carly Manning, and George is playing Bo Brady. The final two installments of the Matthew Ashford Fan Event Video are ready! And you can conveniently find all 8 parts now on The Quiet Corner to enjoy. I believe we now have close to two hundred videos sorted and summarized to enjoy watching. I'm in the process of putting thumbnail pictures beside each clip description to help you more easily find the clips you want... ----------------------------------------------------- But now, for this week's video clips update!:  Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux) Fan Club Event Pt 7 - In this 7th part of the video, George Jenesky (Nick) really gets into a little comedy with Matt during this por Days of Our Lives Fan Event Pt.7 -- May 26, 1991 George Jenesky (Nick) really gets into a little comedy with Matt during this portion of the show. They are continuing to read from a script in which George is playing the part of Bo, and Matt is playing the part of Carly Manning. They send the audience into numerous oohs and aahs... Coming up to the stage now is the actor who played Dave, the lifetime waiter on Days. He's coming to do his unique impersonation of Julie. Just hilarious! The actor who played Johnnie Corelli joins him and starts doing his impersonation of Tanner Scoffield (Gruff voice and all...) in a scene that discusses the ever-delightful Molly whom he had an interest in during that time period. All the throughout their skit, George is holding a bouquet of flowers to Dave's head in a mock head dress of sorts that Julie might have worn.  Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux) Fan Club Event Pt 8 - At the conclusion of this great fan event tape, the fun gets a little more outrageous with talk of about Matt's script from the Cruise of Deception regarding the now infamous diaphragm... Matthew gets a slight bit more serious as he begins to discuss his personal feelings regarding the show's attempt to disregard the importance of that illusive diaphragm once they were off the ship. I love it when he gets serious... If you ever wanted to hear an actor's thoughts on something so personal, Matthew's comments are some for the books. Now, with that out of the way, Wayne Heffley steps up to join Matthew on stage. Matthew ends the event by closing with thanks to many people who helped organize the event. And he and his wife bid a personal farewell to the viewers of the tape. ------------------------------------------------------ Come and enjoy all of these great clips!
