I'm a wee bit late, but I was thinking about all of you during the Christmas holidays. I was hoping to get a laptop that was capable of playing EQ on for Christmas, but Santa must have decided I was on the "Naughty" list this year. If I said I had a wonderful Christmas, it would be a huge lie. The whole month of December basically sucked for me and my night shift crew. We were moving around 6 tons of mail an hour, sometimes for up to 14 hours a day. I think, from the 12th until the 26th, we might have had 2 days of no mail when we normally have 2 per week. The good thing is that we made it through it and we are now almost at our half-way point for this deployment. I get to take my R&R leave in March, so my current goal is to not go insane before then. My wife has had a couple of problems at home - car breaking down, other car needing new tires, clogged up drain, leak under the house, etc., but she has managed to deal with all of them without losing her sanity. We're getting lots of bills paid off and have a nice chunk in the bank in case anything comes up. We have heard that KBR will be taking over all the post offices in Iraq sometime before Sept. 07, but I'm not so sure about that. If they do, I might just end up working for them doing the same job and making LOTS more money.
Hope Christmas was fun for you all and that you got to spend some quality time with your families. I sure miss my EQ family and can't wait to be able to play some in March.
