Miss Gulch's Sheriff's Order
Has anybody ever really examined the situation with Miss Gulch and the order from the Sheriff. First of all, if the Sheriff issued an order for Toto to be destroyed, wouldn't HE have had to be the one to fetch Toto? Why did he send Miss Gulch to get him? The way she uses her specs to closely examine the order once Uncle Henry is looking at it -- it occured to me that she was double checking the signature! I think that our fine, upstanding Almira Gulch really forged the Sheriff's signature. Maybe THAT'S why nobody seemed particuarly concerned about her returning for Toto at the end of the movie. Ooh, she makes my blood boil!
I always thought she forged it as well, they would not order Toto to be destroyed for a bite, maybe a fine, but also Miss. Gulch would be in trouble for hitting a dog w/ a rake!
