I did like the idea of Bob getting inside Mister and "wearing" him. Harry's cat has to be "sturdy" because it's sidestepping vampires and all sorts of bad guys when out for his nightly constitutional. Mister is a good companion for Harry. He doesn't talk back, he's a good listener and keeps out of Harry's way. That's a good cat. Plus he'll eat whatever Harry feeds him. I seem to recall cold cuts on a plate. My cat would look at me like I was nuts.

Actually, since we were engaging in baby talk earlier I've had a funny thought. Picture this: Harry is told about or sees a sign about an impending birth for him. He is freaking out as he had a recent blackout in fairyland and is worried about what he might have done. He spends the entire novel worrying about this only in the end to find Mister curled up in the closet with kittens. Turns out Mister wasn't Mister after all but Missus. That would be some small bit of happiness for Harry and a funny plot twist. There could be a very good scene between Harry and Bob or perhaps Murphy as they consider what male cat was brave enough to impregnate Mister. Just a thought but I think I'll leave Harry's world to Jim's very capable hands.
